The next Club Magazine will in hit as early as November if not sooner. That of course depends on if there will be anything to reveal by then. -
LEGO Nexo Knights 2017 Discussion
PenPlays replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
After a good 10 years being an action/big bang theme devotee, it appears (at least from my perspective) that all in-house non-evergreen themes share a money pool (unless they're something out of the ordinary like buildable figures). If Nexo Knights is gonna get a huge wave to promote it (Winter 2016's wave) other action themes will be lacking in set count (not quality mind you, i.e. Ninjago's Spring 2016 wave). Since TLBM and TLNM are technically in-house (the former is a license, but a project entirely headed by Lego) by this theory of mine would explain the 6 sets per wave we're seeing with Ninjago (Winter/Spring? 2017) and Nexo Knights (Winter/Spring? 2017). EDIT: It should also be said that the budget for these in-house themes would be increased with a movie on the way. It's an increase, but it won't pay for the product of the sets alone, hence dipping into the other theme's money. But that's just a theory on my part. -
The Toys R Us exclusive "Awesome" sets include a poster, a voucher for something (the box doesn't say) and stickers.

Your answer is the Lego Batman/Ninjago Movies. In 2014 Chima suffered from both Ninjago Rebooted and The Lego Movie. As a result sets like Spinlyn's Cavern and Lavertus' Outland base are less than substantial. The wave featured only 5 base sets (with 2 exclusives), 5 Speedorz, and 5 Legend Beasts. Seeing as Nexo Knights doesn't have a high-manufacturing-cost supplementary series on its side (a la Speedorz), 6 sets, 5 "Ultimates" and a blind-bag series aren't half bad. Keep in mind that there is potential for store exclusive sets as well. Of course this also effects Ninjago as it only has 6 sets, without the additional blister sets at its side. Again, we need to keep exclusives in mind with that one, and the Ninjago movie will help remedy the potential lack of Ninjago sets earlier in the year. -
When it comes to displaying my Ninjago sets, typically I'm able to keep an entire year's worth of sets on display on some shelves, and a desk, but once I've finished with the year, the next year's sets will take precedence, and the old sets will be disassembled and put into storage one by one (or as room is needed). Same applies to Nexo Knights and exclusives as well.

They wouldn't dare make Shadows head the same mould. It's not me being butthurt about it, but the deep pits of the fanbase would go beyond the internet veil to be butthurt about it. It would be an easy mold to retool, though. But in all honesty, Knuckles, Tails, and Amy are the only characters that might even get the slightest chance at a pack aside from Shadow.

This is hilarious. Nearly every set from 2011 came with an ax wielding Skullkin, yet...- 4,591 replies

Pythor is one of those minifigures that are deliberately put in large sets in order to sell those large sets (although most of the sets he's in are more than worth it for the set alone). Long story short, Pythor isn't in any polybag sets. -
Man this episode was great. I would have been disappointed about Kallus handing out his 'good deed' for Zeb... Glad to see some TIE Bomber/Interceptor action as well. Can't wait for the next episode.

I would assume that Lego Stores may stop getting supply as early as that (that's been happening a lot frequently outside of Ninjago, Friends, Star Wars, and City, or at least from what I've seen). It's not like Lego can just purge the sets off the face of the earth once 2017 hits. -

Is there something Tommy said that I missed, or is this just speculation... Nothing has really confirmed anything of that sort otherwise.- 4,591 replies

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

I promised myself I wouldn't get back into Batman...I promised myself I wouldn't get back into Batman...I promised myself I wouldn't get back into Batman...I promised myself I wouldn't get back into Batman...I promised myself I wouldn't get back into Batman... What is it about these sets that draws me towards them. They are truly spectacular. Makes me curious what Lego is gonna do for Ninjago down the road... -
Weird... really weird thought. What if, due to the Wii U's unfortunate sales numbers, Lego (or whoever is in charge of production decisions) decided that Lego City:Undercover would no longer be a console exclusive, and would instead be released as a Story Pack in Dimensions. It's a stretch, yes. But that would be interesting.

You Might recall that Chima and Ninjago both had small waves upon the release of The Lego Movie. I would expect as much for TLBM as well. And eventually Nexo Knights getting another small wave in the summer due to Ninjago's time in theaters. -
As I mentioned in the Ninjago 2016 thread, these Bricktober events are exclusive to Canada.

That's just it. That's the Pythor statue being reanimated by Yang's power. The statue itself is just a representation of the villains the ninja have faced. It doesn't present the idea that all of them are deceased (although all of them aside from Pythor would be considered as such by coincidence). Also, I don't know if anyone confirmed this yet, but according to the newest Lego Club Magazine, Day of the Departed is indeed a special.- 4,591 replies

Part of me is both incredibly sad, while another side of me is so, so happy... I was concerned this series would end before the amazing underlying story would come completely full circle, and the fact that they have a due date means that everything can be finalized. I will be sad that it will be gone, but the idea that it is complete means so much more when you compare it to many, many other cancelled shows. Now hopefully they'll have the time to finish Bravest Warriors... -
Before people freak out about Stone Armor Cole, these promos are exclusive to Canada. The US' is as lackluster as you'd expect outside of the minifig sets.

It should be said that "Smith" was never the last name of Kai and Nya's family. An apparition from the fanbase that I will never find fitting... Are we talking about Sci's drawing of the forge, or have you stumbled across leaks from the retailer catalog? -
It has the Lego Batman Movie logo on the box?

Makes no sense. Sensei mean 'Master' in Japanese, so why would it need to change. Or do they think it's too hard of a word for kids to learn? Why not extend their vocabulary? On another note, where does this info even come from, gamejutzu? -

The Titanium Command Rig! That's what the set reminds me of. Hope it has some sort of cool function interwoven in that rather large looking chassis the Triple Rocker has. -

Bionicle Stuff that really wasn't necessary (but totally made the theme cooler). EDIT: ninja'd (fitting it would be this thread ) I hadn't realized that I might've been one of the first to use 'TLNM' as an abbreviation for the movie.- 4,591 replies
