  1. Or retire it really early. Pretty sure the plastic used for the small, detailed, silver-colored pieces in most sets these days is different than the traditional ABS.
  2. No grip issues whatsoever. The Nexo Knight Figures also have no issues either (aside from being bland, but that's okay, as they're army builders).
  3. Owning them, I can say they are of ordinary minifigure quality (that's a good thing). May just be the finest Samurai X yet! The Pirates are also lovely as well. Can we just make halfsies an official term within the AFOL lexicon? We don't know the time period it takes place. All we know is that it involves Kai and Nya, and that the story will involve their parents. That's it. Will this mean we get some Ninja parents finally? Depends. I will remain open to anything new for the series.
  4. The US Capitol is an ordinary architecture set. It is not a D2C exclusive, and therefore will not effect the VIP launches in September. If that were the case, all of the Rogue One sets would be considered VIP early access too. But sadly, no. They're ordinary sets launching on Force Friday.
  5. So... what does this 'incorrect' head wrap look like for Cole? If it's not his, then who's is it?
  6. Let us know of your results! Come to think of it, nothing's stopping Lego from going halfsies with LNM and Hands of Time (second wave) next Summer, either. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
  7. Just wandering around some nearby Lego retailers, I can tell it gets more traction than, say, Angry Birds, as most stores have somewhat stocked shelves for Nexo Knights (compared to AB's full, and quite dusty, shelves). Ninjago, Super Heroes, and Star Wars certainly fair better, but that's just due to their more prominent media presence. I don't think the show is helping though, as it certainly falls off the radar, and advertising for it just seems out of the blue. Having reruns air weekly would certainly help it, especially if put in between two of CN's more popular shows, but I'm not the one who runs the channel. (This also isn't really the thread for discussing it either).
  8. I'm pretty sure it's Toys R Us. I'm not sure if we confirmed it a little bit ago, or if we just assumed it would, based on previous exclusive releases.
  9. I'm guessing that it will be be a Day of the Departed/Hands of Time combo wave, similar to this year's summer wave being both Skybound/Day of the Departed themed. Then a small wave of Hand of Time in early summer, with a late summer or Fall (read:September) launch for movie sets. Keep in mind that this is just me theorizing.
  10. The retail strategy is that it will end before the new sets release. Of course, this is moot, as TRU almost always puts all of the sets out early without any regard of release dates.
  11. Let's just establish it now that Ava is one of the best, if not the best character in this show. She's hilarious and adorable. Most scenes with her in it are always entertaining. I wish, though, that I felt the same with Robin, as the whole... (Season 1 Spoilers) ...was revealed far too quickly. His story may be developing too fast to catch up with Lloyd. It's dangerous territory, but they made the destiny jump successfully once before.
  12. The sale strategically ends on the 30th, though. The Black Knight Mech does not release until August 1st in the US. If you find it on the shelves, odds are that the registers are programed to deny purchase of it until then. That, of course, depending if it's exclusive there.
  13. I will make the prediction that Toys R Us will be getting it. It's the only exclusive launch for Nexo Knights for the Summer Wave. That and seeing as it's over $30...
  14. It's Europe only. I recall that they were being given away as a promotion somewhere in Europe. Perhaps they had leftovers.
  15. Don't know if you eventually figured out what happened but... http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/lego/images/7/7b/8080PrototypePowerMiners.png/revision/latest?cb=20101105160559 http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/lego/images/c/c3/8080PrototypePowerMinersTransformed.png/revision/latest?cb=20101105160735 This guy here is vehicle 13. Designed by Mark Stafford. These images (although taken from Brickipedia) were originally from an interview with Nabii that talked about designing sets. This was one set that was brought up during the "scrapped sets" portion of the interview. It was later revealed that it wasn't scrapped. Instead they retooled it into the Undersea Explorer from the Atlantis theme. In order to link it to its roots, they went as far to make the change canon in the Atlantis story, being that it literally was a Power Miners vehicle transferred to the Deep Sea Salvage Crew. This is also the reason why Brains was transferred into the Atlantis story, all for the sake of established this connection, once the second, and unfortunately final year for the theme began.
  16. Ya know... I wouldn't mind if that initial design ended up showing up in another set down the pipeline. Has a heavy duty look without making it gigantic in regards to price/pieces. Perhaps you could pull some strings?
  17. If there's anything we didn't need, it was Cars 3, and a Lego license no less!
  18. I don't own it, but I'm pretty sure it's the same dimensions as the Friends Adventure Camp Treehouse (just without the stylistic bubble front).
  19. So after that trailer last night, I'm now the proud owner of Lego Dimensions... ...is this hour long startup-update normal?
  20. The only thing is that no one wants Boom Sonic, as he's considered the butt of gaming after the atrocity that was the Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal/Rise of Lyric combo. The TV show is the only saving grace for that iteration of the Blue Blur, as even the Boom comic series tanked. Keeping that iteration of Sonic out of the big game (as far as we know) was, even in my biased perspective, a very smart move. in fact I'd be very surprised if they continue to produce anything Boom related after Fire & Ice tanks.
  21. And here we have Wave 2
  22. The Sonic Level Pack is all they showed.
  23. No, technically. But they would be stupid not to include it. It's featured on the box though, so I'm hoping that it'll at least make some sort of appearance.
  24. Looking at the back of the box, the Hub World appears to be Angel Island.
  25. It doesn't transform into the other Sonic and Allstars Racing modes, but hey, it looks pretty sweet. Level pack seems to include a combination of stages including Green Hill Zone, The Death Egg Zone, and Wave Ocean.
