  1. Thanks Well, this storyline is starting slowly ... Bedankt, meneer, Dat vindt ik heel leuk. (Thank you, Sir. I am happy about your comment)
  2. You remember Commodore T Spoon? Introduced here: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/187046-introducing-commodore-spoon/ Guess what, he also has a ship! ... and is sailing away ... ... probably to Pontelli. ,,, and he is singing a song: "I am sailing, I am sailing..." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I always wanted to build a ship on the basis of one of those larger standard boat hulls - and here it is! And don't ask about monkeys. They may be somewhere, but not yet. Stay healthy and safe!
  3. Fine build, great atmosphere. I love that black tree - has worked out well!
  4. Thanks. I did that. Still the name is not related to the Tick Thank you, Sir. You know how this is with those favs on flickr. You build something for months, post it and 3 people like it. Then you put something together in 30 min, post it, some guy includes it into some strange group and next day you have >10.000 views...
  5. This is what the castle creator set was meant to look like! And if I see that correctly, you have managed to build hexagonal towers. That is super impressive!
  6. The build perfectly matches the title - great atmosphere here!
  7. Thanks Unfortunately, I haven't seen the tick... The monkeys have been complaining too that there are no monkeys in the MOC. Let's see where we go from here. yeah, the colouring will give me lots of views and likes on flickr... or not... The rope looks quite ropey. I like that! When you fall, you plunge into the water (hopefully). Now that is a clever observation! Quite often brothers don't get along with each other.... Let's see. Thank you.
  8. I agree, plates are not an option here - I think the idea with trans-blue tiles would turn out nice. However, you will not be able to see the colours underneath so well. I've been working on different variations for building water for quite some time now. I don't think I have found the perfect recipe yet.
  9. Lo and behold! I am proud to present a new character that is going to be part of a story to come: Commodore T. Spoon Here is his island home off Pontelli: And here is the man himself: One comment from a good ol' sea rat has already reached us: Captain Cookie was heard saying "I hate him! He is my arch-enemy!" We will see how this is going to turn out in the end. Until then - stay healthy and safe!
  10. Ah - another variation on the never-tiring-topic: How do I build water? I won't quite go with it, to me, at first glance, it looked more like ice (sorry to disappoint you) The building is fine, the walls are excellent.
  11. Fantastic. A more-than-complete-and-working shipyard! The instant object of envy for all BoBS players
  12. Fine scene. Your minifigs and their equipment work out well
  13. I've not been able to catch up with recent developments here at BoBS, but this is certainly a fine MOC! I had never expected an elephant in a pirate scenario, but who knows what else is to come?
  14. Very fine forced perspective. What else could be said?
  15. Well done! Fearsome bunch of thugs!
  16. Fantastic ship model. You really know how these things must look like.
  17. I want the Cymbal Monkey!
  18. That is quite amazing - and was obviously also a building challenge
  19. Amazing build with great building techniques, especially for the walls. Is this a digital MOC? If not, the amount of bricks going into this thing must be enormous!
  20. Oh, I missed that one. And it is excellent. Thanks for bumping this topic
  21. Seems like you found your solution! I am looking forward to your MOD.
  22. Thanks for the info. The article is definitely right in one point: more minifigs are necessary! I agree - the blue banners are a good modification. (but I won't go for stickers)
  23. Great solution to that problem. Thanks. Good idea too. I need to check what I have. Usually I do not have a lot of dark blue roof bricks/slopes. Thanks. I agree I think I'd side with Wurger49 here and keep everything as it is. I found that green refreshing. Symmetry is another topic, however, but as the remainder of the two front towers is symmetric, it does not harm the overall view to have those different approaches with green slopes.
  24. On the inside it would collide with the fireplace... Thank you. And I forgot to mention improvement #8: A ladder to get up to the watchtower. (you can see where it is attached on the picture for improvement #6)
  25. Really nice! Ooops, that has been said before
