lego ideas [LEGO IDEAS] Green Coat Trading Fort
Captain Braunsfeld replied to leafan's topic in Pirate MOCs
I am a fan! Green coats rule! -
Thanks - sorry for me not replying earlier. Lockdown times have been busy. My hair grew longer and longer - and then suddenly it became very short. My wife took on the job as family barber - and there was not much hair to cut when I finally went to the "real barber" last week Yes, well spotted: The clothing also deteriorates! Thanks, captain! Actually I had those guys three times and for the photo shoot they were all standing in a line... Thank you. I still have some more ideas, but I haven't been doing much with my bricks recently (except MODDing the pirate bay ship).

[MOD] My new ship inspired by...
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Pirate MOCs
Dunno. One is an island with a wreck on it Difficult to compare... Thanks. I just build by trial and error. -
Based on the new official set and inspired by the building techniques used there, I made this: And, with the exception of the rigging, I was able to build it based on my existing collection of bricks. As you can see, this version features more gun ports. It is also slightly higher than the official version (which caused many many more building problems ) I also tried to offer a more acceptable choice of colours. (All within the limits of existing bricks) of course, it is not finished... Bye for now.

Clever idea!

Looks great. You've captured that islanders-feeling quite well.

Great that you agree with me. I hope you found a way to see the pictures. agreed! Bring bananas, then you'll be on the safe side Yes, doc!

You might want to check for monkeys on Bricklink or so. Thanks Where do I start? Pigs were never part of the pirate series. And the pig has eyelashes. Monkeys used to be a part of the pirate series. So the monkeys held a barbecue on the beach. Problem solved. (and they caught the shark too)

Post your Pirate Crew: Pirate Figbarfs
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in LEGO Pirates
Great to see that this good ol' post has been revived! Great figbarfs from @Captain Baker, @Faladrin, @Mister Phes, @Dorino, @Stoertebricker and @General Magma! -
The new pirate set comes without monkeys. That is unforgivable! Every classic pirate set had a monkey. And not pigs with eyelashes. So, there is only one thing to do: give the monkeys space for revenge! So, all you TLG controllers, who ruin the company, go to megablocks! All the others: have a nice weekend

[MOC] Pirate Island of the Barracuda Bay
Captain Braunsfeld replied to pantelis's topic in Pirate MOCs
Excellent mod. Maybe I should do the same. -
Hi, I am Captain Cookie and this is my Pirate Training Program. "The question today is: What is most important on a long sea voyage?" The hands went up. "Yes, Professor?" "To have enough food and water." "Good, but that is not quite it. What about you Tristan?" "To have enough ammunition!" "Good, but that is not quite it. I'll tell you something:" "At the beginning of the journey, everyone is in high spirits and looks decent..." "... but after some months you see some deterioration effects..." ".... and after a year the beards are just not tolerable anymore. So, what you really need on a long sea voyage is a barber!" Everyone nodded. Previous lesson

Diamonds Are Forever
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thank you. So it was worth the effort Thanks. I had to watch the corresponding scenes over and over to get the model somewhat close. I don't know yet which Bond movie may be next. I have some ideas though However, DAF is the seventh James Bond movie. It is from 1971 and pretty dated by now. -
Hello! following up to my previous James Bond inspired miniatures (links at the end of the post), I can now present: Diamonds are forever! (the whole movie sequence in one shot) And without that photo-shopping effect, the set looks like this: So we have the attacking helicopters... .. one gets shot down... Blofeld tries to escape in his mini-submarine: while underneath James Bond is escaping from his improvised prison room. There is the red balloon... ... and a lot of action: I hope you like it. This oil rig was actually more difficult to do than the previous miniatures. I had to accept a lot of compromises. And I ran out of certain bricks which led to more compromises. I wanted the helicopters to be in dark green, but my bricks will not support this. Previous scenes: The Man With The Golden Gun You Only Live Twice

Thanks Thx. Finally I would some build where I could reuse these old/not so old classic pirate walls Somebody (who was it?) mentioned that I had done something like that black chair, so I checked and it was true. And so I built some more. And yes, people are always asking "for a friend". A pleasure.
