  1. Well, then I have done everything right. Thanks! Me too
  2. So many great builds in one post. Excellent. Of course, the first pic is the best as it has got a monkey in it Great job with those pigeons (are they?) and the laundry on the line The dome shows some very elaborate building techniques. I haven't figured out the water yet: are those fish-printed transparent tiles? If so, where are they from? There is more to praise (e.g. the overall look and feel or the palm trees) but I am running out of time
  3. Sale! Get your Han Solo in Carbonite* today from your trusted Huttish dealer! *Each Han Solo sold separately. *Han Solos in the rear view mirror might appear larger than they are
  4. This castle has got style. Well done, fine building techniques - and it just looks good.
  5. Thanks. "Guilds of Historica"??? After I have lost all of my English fans and followers you think that I am alluding to "Guilds of Historica"? Well. Maybe Bananaliers - something ornamental, a source of light - or just a food depot? Will we ever know? Very nice of you. Yepp, this is definitely Fantomas-style! Yes, the floor depicts a banana. It seems that a lot of their artwork is fruit-centered. But think of Andy Warhol's work for the Velvet Underground.
  6. Back at the monkey headquarters: 1st Monkey: So, you're back? Ismael Oldton: Yes, Sir! 1st Monkey: But no success? Ismael Oldton: No, Sir! 1st Monkey: For banana's sake take off that stupid mask! Ismael Oldton (?): Ah, that is better. 1st Monkey: Your report! Ismael Oldton (?): Well they seemed interested in the monetary ideas - at least initially. But every time I came to explaining the whole thing they always backed out. 1st Monkey: So they were more clever than we thought? Ismael Oldton (?): It seems. Their resistance level was very high when it came to funny ideas about currency. 1st Monkey: Right then. Let us not waste anymore energy here. I've got a new plan. Ismael Oldton (?): Which is? 1st Monkey: There is a parallel world, not too unsimilar to this one. And there is a country which is just starting to set up an empire. I think it would be great if they would side with our monetary proposals. That would be soooooooooo funny! Ismael Oldton (?): Will they be so gullible? I mean, the whole currency is nonsense. Everyone can see it. 1st Monkey (giggles): Of course, we will have to make some adaptions. Change the names of the coins. Don't call them Pnence or Shnilling. And make two half-thingies be one "thingy" instead of three. I let you work that out. Ismael Oldton (?): Yes, Sir. I'll do my very best. 1st Monkey: One more thing - they will also not get my Gwuinee. It is just too cute. Let them have some of that scrap metal instead. Ismael Oldton (?): Aye, Sir. 1st Monkey: By the way, how are tulip prices doing these days? I heard they can be quite tasty. 7. Great job with the lighting and also with those stained-glass windows. But if that is the queen's mood on her birthday, I would not want to visit her when she's unhappy
  8. Well, it remains unclear how the monkey ate the tulip. He had the spoon for the ice cream he ate before... Thanks! Yepp, pink came out of my several attempts with Photoshop. I tried to draw that "Semper Augustus" pattern but that looked terrible... I am also very surprised how this floor worked out Thxs. The glass piece is from one of the Harry Potter sets (the micro version of the great hall or so).It is meant to mimick large cathedral-type windows, but it seems to work here too.
  9. Amazing ship, well done. And with a completely self-made hull - respect!
  10. Soooooo classic. I love it. And it has a monkey. So this is perfect!
  11. I am quite amazed myself how well this room turned out to be. There was a small storyline around Asma April (my take on Theresa May) who had ursurped power in Pontelli and had a strong "let's make Pontelli proud again"-agenda while actually only enriching herself. She was quite bad for Pontelli. You can find the episodes here: Too Much Monkey Business So far away Pontelli Pet Panic Fun with Flags The Cliff of Pontelli Who is going to be the next Mayor of Pontelli? Pontelli hath voted Pontellian Modesty Since these dramatic events I have been using the banner "Free Pontelli" in my Pontelli-related pictures. And since then Smiling Sally has been the Mayor of Pontelli. Everybody is quite happy about that and prosperity has returned to Pontelli.
  12. Pontelli. Christmas. Alberto da Pontelli and George's home (sidenote: they returned from exile to Pontelli after Asma April was ... gone). Alberto: Ah, George. I see that you have finished your ice cream. But you still look hungry... Come, join me on the sofa. George: (shakes his head) Alberto: Are you admiring the exquisite tulip I have grown? George: (nods) Alberto: Well, two weeks ago, this plant alone would have allowed me to buy large parts of Pontelli... George: (nods) Alberto: It is a "Semper Augustus". This is the rarest tulip flower on this planet. George: (nods) Alberto: But luckily this tulip madness is now over. I am still wondering how people could think that such flowery thingies could be worth so much. Alberto's thoughts wander off .... .... and by the time he returns to the here and there ... ... George had already eaten the precious tulip. Alberto (sighs): At least you see to know what should be done with those tulips. Bon appetit! George: (smiles) Alberto (raising his goblet): Merry Christmas, George! George: (raising his spoon, nods) The story overview: Something for a Lady Buying Some Flowers Captain Cookies next move Gray's Universal Store What is he doing here? 13. Fine boat. I am sure that flat-bottomed boats will make the rocking world go round
  14. If I am right, no faction in BOBs is using pnence! They are all using the famous dubloon-system. So there are people out there enjoying their pepperminted pumpkins. Anything else? Somebody calling for more garlic?
  15. Tulips? I don't know what people are seeing in those flowery thingies...
  16. I heard that they eat those pumpkins with peppermint in Corrington (if they have the Pnence to afford it)
  17. Thanks. I thought the credits would be my Waterloo. I think so too Yes, what could possibly go wrong?
  18. Great defences! You must have thought about them quite some time
  19. Welcome to BoBs. Only, the thing to do is to join Eslandola....
  20. I need to get some of those mugs. Maybe absinthe is the next big thing after those tulips...
  21. Pontelli, The neighbours meet in the backyard. Sam: Oi, Piedro, how is it going? Piedro: Can't complain, Sam. Sam: I see you are starting something new? Piedro: And you too! Pumpkins are going to be the next big thing. Sam: Yes, after all this tulip nonsense. I knew it was not going to last. Piedro: Those bricked flowery thingies. Couldn't trust them! Sam: Much better with the pumpkins now. Piedro: Yepp. And if push comes to shove, you can still eat them. Sam: Actually, what is the price you get for a pumpkin? Piedro: Still pretty low, the traders haven't yet picked up on them. They are still dreaming of their old tulipean wealth... 22. Thanks. Well I was not sure whether the facial expression of Commodore Spoon should change during the fight. But then he is supposed to be a bright and shiny character - so he kept smiling. You want the story to continue? There may be some epilogue-scenes... The bubble has burst and pigeons are spreading the news fast! "flowery thingies" - yes, I like language to be precise! The tulip certificate is a product of Photoshop (and one picture contains a spelling error...). The "Urgent Tweet" is also me photoshopping. And the torsos of the tulip traders are TLG products. I might not recall where they are all from. From left to right: old pirate torso, this one I don't remember, new ninjago, 2nd pirate wave, 2nd pirate wave, Pirates of the Carribean. I was using stickers for many years until I started to have my custom torsos printed (luxury!). Thanks. Yes, modern communication has come to Pontelli. My stories tend to be a bit crazy, but in this case everything is thoroughly historically grounded. Thanks man, welcome to Eurobricks and BoBS The second to the left is a Dumbledore torso.
