Let's try to answer this one by one: Thanks! Don't know. She is becoming quite popular, it seems. Well, the Marquis certainly would not cheat by having an ace up his sleeve But maybe having four hands is helpful. I suppose the singer is able to sing well without external support. I like that phrase and I am probably going to keep it. "a simple and humble seaman". A hook is a ship? I meant the thing you find when you google "pirate hook" -
Garmadon, Kai NRG and Captain Braunsfeld present: Chapter 2: (This is chapter 1 where we left last time) Lucy was thinking hard: Where would the King go if he wants to hire a passage away from here? Billy Shearington: Eis Mosley's Cantina down at the harbour. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. You must be cautious. Lucy: I will be. (Lucy leaves) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Cut to Eis Mosley's Cantina: The tension on the poker table was at its peak when the Marquis cried out “My hand wins!”. And indeed, he had won the day – and a large sum of money. His royal flush had clearly beaten the full house. In the midst of all the turmoil around the poker table no one had noticed a cloaked figure quietly entering the cantina – heading for one of the booths. The cantina band was rushing headlong into another song, almost out of control. But admittedly they sounded a bit tired after having played last night at the opera and having spent the previous day at the races. (They went by the name “The King’s Wife” but were thinking about shortening their moniker as they felt a bit under pressure with that longer name and feared they might go gaga. Maybe a kind of magic would provide them with a shorter name in a flash. At least they shared this one vision.). And as the band played, no one could overhear the discussion taking place in the booth. CC: Well, Mr. Smith? I am Captain Cookie. I am Captain of the Decennial Duck. I understand you're looking for passage to the colonies? Mr. Smith / the cloaked figure / well, ok, you guessed it: The King: Yes, indeed. If it's a fast ship. CC: Fast ship? You've never heard of the Decennial Duck? The King: Should I have? CC: It's the ship that makes cattle run in less than twelve seconds! The King: What? CC (to himself): Who on earth is writing these dialogs? The King: (is unimpressed) CC: I have outrun coast guard ships. The King: (is unimpressed) CC: What's the cargo? The King: Only passengers. Myself, maybe a dog, and no questions asked. CC: Okay. You got yourself a ship. We'll leave as soon as you're ready. Docking bay Ninety-four. ... Meanwhile somebody was trying to pay for his meal with a Gwuinee … and a dark shady character was lurking in another booth. Wait, didn't he look like that assassin? (to be continued) The story so far: Chapter 1 Chapter 2 - you are here Chapter 3 Chapter 4 And now a quick word about our sponsor: This episode of "The Return of the ..." was brought to you by Captain Cookie's Pirate Training. [ESL] Jack and Kate break out
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Fine scene. But where are the pictures for "the prisoners overwhelmed their guards, secured the keys to release their incarcerated brethren, and acquired whatever makeshift weapons they could"`? (Well, I know. Difficult to make. And you're excused as Hollywood also has developed a tendency of "tell, not show" ) For some strange reason a man looking like Jack will appear in my next chapter. -

Everything in here is worth of high praise. Why did I not see this earlier? Great building style. The curves of the ship are excellent! And the title is funny!

The Return of the ... (Chapter 1)
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Well, the guard should actually not be sleeping.... But thanks Well, the king is actually the walrus. Wait, no, that is another story. I am also looking forward to this collab story - and the bedroom must have worked out well. The windows: Self-made stickers - a cumbersome exercise... Well spotted. Never too late to reuse a good MOC Can you hear the drums, Fernando? Thanks for the compliment Ok, so I should not take the bedroom apart? And never reuse the bricks??? Monkeys? No monkeys (yet)! Nobody mentioned the Oleon inquisition Great that you spotted the Eslandola flag rug. The King is a big fan of Eslandola. So his cupboard is full of Eslandola merch... -

Thanks! Good to hear that. And I have used a different attempt for the drawbridge this time. Thanks. There must be something about the windows Or the loopholes? -
Garmadon, Kai NRG and Captain Braunsfeld proudly present: Chapter 1: Picture yourself in a bar in Terreli with beer and wine flowing and maritime art: Suddenly someone calls for a beer. It is Lucy Diamond, sitting there chatting with some old friends, that answer quite slowly... Johannes Kite (merely visible behind his huge glass of wine): Lucy, what have you seen lately with your kaleidoscope eyes? Lucy: John, you are drunk again! I have not seen but heard something. Billy Shearington (the man with the shaved beard): Tell us! Lucy (excited): I heard something about old King Fernando. Billy Shearington: Boring! He's just sitting in his palace all day with his favorite dog, doing nothing! He's such a mean old man! Lucy: That's what you might think. But I have heard differently. Johannes Kite (still drunk): Letsh hear it! Lucy begins her story: Late yesterday night an attempt was made to kill King Fernando. (There was something in the air last night and the stars were bright.) While the guards were sleeping... ... a man clad in dark clothes entered the royal chambers... ... carefully glancing to all sides... ... snickering "he he" to himself as he quietly opened the door to King Fernando's bedroom. But the royal bedroom... ... was empty! The assassin stood there for a few seconds, baffled and admiring the beautiful room, while the moon was filling the room with light. Then he sighed, turned and left. ... disappointed... ... and leaving no trace! Where was King Fernando? Billy Shearington: Nice story, Lucy. But if he left no trace, how do you come to know about all this? Lucy: My friend Lively Rita told me. Billy Shearington: And how does she know? Lucy: I did not expect a kind of Oleon Inquisition. Isn't is strange that the King has disappeared? Johannes Kite: I find it stranger that the beer takes so long here. Waiter: Coming! Billy Shearington: By the way, do you know that there is an old song called "Fernando"? Let me think, what were the names of the singers... Lucy: Guys, you are impossible! Can't you for once stay on the subject? You sit around here with your heads in the clouds while the King is gone! Picture the King in a boat on some river! Maybe he has already been kidnapped! Johannes Kite: I heard that .... Lucy: Yes? Johannes Kite: People should invest in tulips. It is supposed to work out great! Lucy sighs, rolling her eyes. Billy Shearington: Maybe? Lucy: Yes? Billy Shearington: We should have another drink. Lucy: You guys really are terrible! Lucy (determined): If the king is really lost, then I will find him! (to be continued) The story so far: Chapter 1 - you are here Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Have a nice weekend!
