My feedback (better late than never ): I enjoyed the challenge - once a year we can have a figbarf challenge, that is fine. I did not participate in the second part because I had no inspiration. And maybe it was a bit too far from my "pirate-home-base". Just to explain a bit on my participation in challenges in general: Once there is a new challenge coming out I check what it is about. And then I ask myself whether I have an idea what to build. This is actually the tricky part for me as in 90% of the challenges I initially have no idea at all. Remember that fine challenge about "Tholeau's Secret"? Intriguing stuff, but I had no inspiration. So, what do I want to say: don't judge from my participation whether a challenge is good or not But I think there is a challenge coming up where I am on the organizing side of the game

The Return of The... (Chapter 10)
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Why is the monkey in the last picture making a similar gesture as Mr. Sparrow? Well, the tulips are not exactly worthless. Just worth less than before. If you want Pnence: How many Pnence are in a Shnilling? Can you answer that? -
The Return of The... (Chapter 10)
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
We were lucky that the huddled masses could make it to the meeting on time. Usually their mother wants them to be home by 6 pm Squirrels!! Ismael might have influenced the audience to want Pnence! And Crassus seems to be a man who is interested in monetary affairs. Like 100 cents to a dubloon. 3 half-pnennys to a pnenny. And 7 botherosh to 1 flumben. What can possibly go wrong? -
Garmadon, Kai NRG and Captain Braunsfeld proudly present: The Story so far:Chapter 1Chapter 2Chapter 3Chapter 4Chapter 5Chapter 6Chapter 7Chapter 8 Chapter 9 You are at Chapter 10: Pnence! While Eslandola still does not know who can count on the Count, more and more political groups are starting to form. Take a look here - a scene outside Terelli: A strange man adresses a crowd of not-so-wealthy Eslandoleans. Man on the podium: Friends, Eslandoleans, countrymen! Welcome, you poor guys, huddled masses, sad and betrodden! (shout from the crowd): The betrodden could not make it. Their father would not let them come. Man on the podium: Anyway. Hear, what I am telling you: The best things in life are free, but you can keep them for the birds and bees - we want money! That is what we want! (shout from the crowd): We want Pnence! Pnence and Pnounds! Man on the podium (slightly confused): You got that wrong guys. Who has been telling you this? You are poor. You do not want a change of the monetary system. What good would that be if you still don't participate? You just want money. That's what you want. Crowd: We want Pnounds! We want Pnence! Man on the podium (shaking his head): Hang on. You there, in the first row. Do you know what you are talking about? Guy in the first row: Yes! We want Pnence! Man on the podium: Ok, then answer me: How many Snixpnence are a Robert? Or why do three Half-Pnennys make a Pnenny? Guy in the first row: How would I know? I did not expect a kind of Oleon Inquisition! I want my Pnence! Man on the podium (sighs): Ok, I will change our charter and I will keep leading our movement. Crowd: Yes. Man on the podium (having regained his strength): You want Pnence? Crowd: Yes! Man on the podium: Ok, I will give you Pnence! We will march to Terelli and fight for our Pnence! And Fnarthings! Just, follow me, Crassus Sparrow! Crowd: Crassus! Crassus! Crassus! How will political stability be maintained in Eslandola? Stay tuned!

I'd also like to praise the window and the fireplace. And I am still wondering how you did that flag. -

The Return of The... (Chapter 9)
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Kai NRG's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Being bribed with a rubber duck - a dream come true Maybe I would go for the magic wand.... Good work with that scene outside the window! And those two guys in the backrow are whispering to each other. Is that allowed at school in the council? -
Thanks for the warning - but the store in Cologne had plenty of those guys for me

Captain Cookie's Mother's Day
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Bedankt. Thx. The family has a taste for dark red and blue. I think I left two questions open: What is "Tibby's" real name? And what is "Cookie's" real name? Both seem to be nicknames ... -
Fine scene, nicely built. So, I understand, I have to visit the next Lego store as soon as possible

Captain Cookie's Mother's Day
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I love that squirrel... Good explanation - for a sea rat No fighting on Mother's Day! -
A small Eslandolean village. Sunday afternoon. 2nd Sunday of May. An old woman is sitting alone at a coffee tea table. There is a knock on the door. "Who can it be now?" she thinks, before it is clear. In steps Captain Cookie, armed with a bunch of flowers: "Ahoy mom!" Captain Cookie's Mother: Cookie, fine that you found the time to visit your old mother. Cookie: Happy Mother's Day, mum. Mother: Thank you for the fine flowers. Sit ye down, have a cup of tea. How is your pirateering going, Cookie? Cookie (blushes): You mean, my various trade activities? Mother: I know what I meant to say. I am 64 years old, do you think you can fool me? And you forgot to take the pirate hat off. So? Cookie: It's going ok, mum. I have opened a school for pirates and won a prize in a sandcastle contest. Mother: Fine, fine. Good boy. (There's a knock on the door) Cookie: Someone's knocking at the door. Somebody's ringing a bell. Mother: Do me a favour, open the door and let 'em in. In steps Commodore T. Spoon, Captain Cookie's arch enemy. Mother: Tibby, fine that you found the time to visit your old mother. T. Spoon: Happy Mother's Day, mum. Cookie (thinking): He bought the same flowers as me. Again. Why on earth?? Just like the cactuses last year .. that are actually doing quite well on the window ledge. And my cactus has grown bigger... hehe. Mother: Thank you for the fine flowers. Sit ye down, have a cup of tea with us. How is pirate hunting going these days? Cookie (aside): grrrrr T. Spoon: Pirates? There are no pirates, mum. The seas are peaceful and quiet. You don't have to be worried. Mother: I know what I meant to ask. I am 64 years old, do you think you can fool me? How is pirate hunting going these days? T. Spoon: Sorry mum. Everything is going ok. I am heading the academy of pirate hunters now. Mother: Fine, fine. Good boy. T. Spoon: Can I have a piece of cake? Cookie: You wait until mum offers you cake! Mother: (to T. Spoon) Yes, Tibby, go, help yourself. (to Cookie) Will you stop bossing your brother around? Cookie (to T. Spoon): You are teaching those mean pirate hunter guys to catch pirates? How dare you? T. Spoon (to Cookie): You are teaching those pirates how to escape us? How dare you? Mother: Will you two cut it out! Cookie & T. Spoon (quietly): Yes, mum. Mother: And how is your mediation course going? Cookie (smirking): Tibby didn't come, he was afraid T. Spoon: You mean liar! You sent me a parrot telling me that the mediation course was off! Mother: Will you two cut it out! Do you always have to fight? We'll do the mediation right here and now: So, each of you will now tell the other what he likes about him! Cookie & T. Spoon (as one): Likes? Mother: Yes, you heard me. Likes. Go ahead! Cookie & T. Spoon (mumbeling): Well I kind of like the colour of your coat. Mother: Was that so difficult? Cookie & T. Spoon (mumbeling): No. Mother: And promise me that you don't duel each other again! T. Spoon: Not even with pistols? Mother: No, not even with pistols! Promise? Cookie & T. Spoon (mumbeling): Yes, mum, we promise. Mother (sighing): Finally! Now, who wants another piece of raspberry cream tart? Cookie & T. Spoon (shouting): Me, me! Mother (sighing): Boys... Wishing all of you - and your mums - a nice weekend!

[COR-FB] A new regiment arrives
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Fine house, great design, as always. As for the troops: the greenish guy would be some Eslandolean regiment. The two guys on the right look Oleonish to me. The Corry is easy - and the guy on the left will have to wait until we start a different game -
Well, well, well. What can I say. I am still puzzled that I am finding episode 7 now - and that I apparently had never seen any of the other episodes Wat jammer. But ok, the glass is half full = NOW I found your storyline. And I went all the way back and read all episodes in their correct order. What I found was some quite astonishing builds. e.g. that fine underwater world of episode 4 (and it has a monkey!), or the excellent harbor shown in ep.5. Or that amazing temple in ep. 6. All very well done ! Well, maybe it was better for me this way. I hate waiting for next episodes. I bought the books to "game of thrones" and have been cursing the author ever since He is never going to finish his series Keep it up!

The Return of The... (Chapter 8)
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Those songs... could't resist if I wanted to... Politically something seems to be going in in Eslandola! The writing was just Photoshop. So I can reuse my white flags The window style was pirately borrowed from a guy on flickr called "Sleepless Night". Thanks. Yes, I could have included a parrot. I was more concentrated on ground animals. Thank you. And I am running out of special bricks in yellow... And my latest bricklink order arrived empty... Glad to hear that. Ever since I saw "Sleepless Nights" digital house I wanted to have it!!! Let's see how the political turmoil will turn out for Eslandola. Stay tuned! -
[COR-FB] Settling Outside Damaborg
Captain Braunsfeld replied to evancelt's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The wagon is great, also the backdrop is far more advanced than the ones I am using. I also like that the water looks like the sky. Somehow, I am reminded of Colorado, but I don't know why... -
Garmadon, Kai NRG and Captain Braunsfeld proudly present: The Story so far: Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6: Chapter 7: Chapter 8: you are here - Title "For Fernando" The Eslandolean Royalists appeared to be a stronger faction than previously expected. Another royalist rallye took place just a little later (cf. Chapter 7) in Terreli: The message was clear: restore the power of King Fernando! Spectators and onlookers were flabberghasted! ... and then they all sang that song again: Can you hear the drums Fernando? There was something in the air that night The stars were bright, Fernando! They were shining there only for thee For royalty Fernando! The crowd cheered! (to be continued) This episode was brought to you by "Lewisham's finest ham"! What? You advertise for that mean Count Lewisham? That is impossible! And what's wrong with that? I need to know. 'Cos here I go again. We stand with King Fernando! Get thee hence to ... Alright, I am leaving. But don't underestimate us. The Republic is not dead! ... that was strange....

[COR-FB] Mokolei Outpost
Captain Braunsfeld replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
So beautiful And always the question: What to do about that top of the lion head brick... -
Right, I should have changed it to "Ooops I did it again..." The squirrel is absolutely great! Musketeers: custom print Rhiannon?? ... tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies (I should turn that Fleetwood Mac music off) The assassin? Who? I have no idea! Torsos? Yepp, some effort has gone into these. And now I have blue, green and also red musketeers. I always loved that minifigure!
