  1. One of my favorite shows. "Placebo Effect" being my personal favorite episode. Terms of En-Rampagement! Also "Fuges and Riffs" if you like Bob's Burgers. One of the best crossover ideas. H. Jon Benjamin nails the voice work.
  2. I don't have any insider knowledge, but I'm betting this is a new Han hair for all Hans going forward. Seems to be the trend when a piece is updated for a given minifigure - Luke's hair for example.
  3. I would add that Lego is in a different place now during G2 than it was during G1. During G2 Lego didn't have the amount of licensed themes that could steal sales of their in-house themes. I would venture to say that Lego collectors of the time of G1 were more aligned to buy in-house themes, as the only real license competition would have been Star Wars which was still somewhat new at that time. Now during G2, there is so much competition that it's hard to introduce a completely new in-house theme. Even Nexu Knights is not a full-blown success, despite being a Systems theme and having three "with purchase" promos being offered this year alone. I see the struggle of G2 as being a struggle to bring in new fans because when people who don't know what Bionicle is are weighing buying a Bonicle set and, say, a Spider-Man set, I think the latter will win.
  4. I was not collecting back when G1 came out and while I saw the excitement of G2, it just never sparked an interest with me. I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but none of the theme or sets really had a focus from a casual observer like myself. Whenever I walked through the Lego store to make a random purchase I would like at the Bionicle stuff, but never buy any of it. I didn't understand the story, the characters didn't have enough flavor for me to differentiate any of them, and I didn't have anything that could help connect them my larger collections of Lego themes. Overall, it felt like Lego really tried with this one, but I would if they were hoping for nostalgia more than new fans. I never felt like they were trying to get me buy the product.
  5. And honestly the classic men's hairpiece works well for ROTJ Luke.
  6. Obviously will be in the DS, but maybe also the Desert Skiff next year. Great new hair piece, but now it really feels like the end of an era.
  7. Maybe Han in the new Death Star...? He's also listed as coming in the Desert Skiff set next year, but that will be his white shirt look. But the hair could still be there.
  8. Lavaria is the only one I've picked up so far at a slight discount, so it's surprising to see her here as well.
  9. That is the worst thing I've ever seen in regards to Lego. It's creepy, it doesn't make any sense or have a real purpose, looks like it could have gone much better if the artist went for a true Lego look, and it's creepy.
  10. There's still hope for the summer wave, but honestly I don't think Disney will make a big deal about the anniversary of ANH. I think they're more focused on the Sequel Trilogy and would rather promote the livelihood of that.
  11. Another OT Stormtrooper printing design will make the army-builders cry.
  12. So, the silver/grey protocol droid could be C-3PO (AOTC), E-3PO, or U-3PO? Sounds like we could start a poll.
  13. If the Landspeeder has a Tusken or two that would make it very viable, despite the fact that I have different ones already. Kinda like this year's Droid Escape Pod with the Jawas.
  14. The builds are pretty decent, I like the Slave 1. The minifigures are overall good, especially Luke and the silver protocol droid, but I still don't understand the white Chewbacca. I get that it looks like a yeti, but in just not getting that impression. As for the price, it's the same as always, so that's ok.
  15. Unless this Fett is more designed/printed as a ROTJ version. Regardless, I care less about value and more about whether I have the given minifigure or not. Hopefully there will be something new with the Fett and Han, as both could end up being the same ones released in the last couple years.
  16. Desert Skiff and Landspeeder seem redundant, but maybe that's just because I have the other recent ones (2012 and 2014). Maybe the Landspeeder will have a new droid. Duel of the Fates is a first day purchase. That's a scene that's been needing a set forever and Maul needs some attention after the somewhat failed Sith Infiltrator version. Here's hoping for maybe new hair on Qui-Gon.
  17. Does Dimensions need Star Wars and Marvel? Yes. Does Star Wars and Marvel need Dimensions? Yes. Lego can't afford to have two of the biggest and available IPs out of the game and two of the biggest IPs can't afford to sit this out.
  18. When they noticed the Funko model of grab all the licenses you can to play on nostalgia.
  19. Wow, Brickdoctor, that's a good read on all the various sourced versions of the movie. I had always heard that the original material was essentially lost to the ages, but didn't really know that other individuals were trying to source it all together on their own. I agree that if Disney were to release a "theatrical version" that it would not be totally true and would probably include some extras and the disclaimer that it would be vaulted in order to get people to buy it. As for Han, I've always been thinking that with the addition of a "young Solo" movie that it will only be a matter of time until we get the whole cast in "young" form for movies that take place during the OT. Very much like what they've done with the recent comic book series that takes place between ANH and ESB. The Star Trek reboot has pulled it off very well and we know comic book movies rotate out actors who play certain characters all the time. I think the general audience is ready for the OT characters to be recast.
  20. Showcasing the versatility of Lego with other non-Lego products only helps promote sales. Now, if we were talking about Lego using third-party pieces like BrickArms stuff, that would be different.
  21. I'm also getting a sinking suspicion that these sets will also dry up faster due to how limited they will be to get. I don't mean this at all the sound like drumming up drama, but fewer outlets to sell these sets may mean few sets made to sell in general. For example, if Set A is a common set released in mass, it might need 10k units to cover all bases. If Set B is Tanker Takedown, which has a limited release, you wouldn't still make 10k units of it.
  22. I think this is something you'll just have to get used to. There are a few people here who are in "the know" to some degree that post info (sometimes limited) regarding upcoming sets or products, but also post their own wishlists and opinions. This makes it very difficult to determine if what they're saying comes from a spoiler bit they received or if it's just their own hope for the future. Honestly, I don't care for spoilers or hints. I mean, Lego previews the product in advance enough time anyway that I can plan my purchases. With that said, I know there are people who would love info the very second it's available. But it would be nice if those with reputations for being in "the know" would somehow preface their posts with something that explains whether it's a spoiler/hint or opinion. In any case, two Iron Mans in the January wave? Here's hoping the second one really is the Brickheadz, cuz I'm kinda Iron Man'ed out.
  23. Ouch, I hadn't realized the Joker's car was $50. And that's confirmed, right? If so, this might be the new cost of amazing printing.
  24. I could see Nolan doing great things with TNG character Q, in terms of Inception-like.
  25. In 2006 LFL released two-disc packs of each OT Star Wars movie. One disc is the Special Edition version and one disc is the original theatrical release. With that said, there is some debate on whether the quality of the theatrical version is the same, as it does look touched up. But, if you're looking for a "Han shot first" version, this is the way to go. And having all three, I can say their great. The DVD theatrical versions have not been released since and their prices seem to span the range on eBay and the like.
