I'm looking for organizer cabinets to help store my collection, but so far all the cabinets I've found have drawers that are impractically small. My current storage solution consists of a number of plastic cabinets, but these are proving to be too small. The smaller size (with drawers 16,5 cm (6.5 inches) long* by 11,5 cm (4.5 inches) wide by 4 cm (1.6 inches) tall) is only practical for storing small translucent elements and minifigure parts, and my collection is, as I'm sorting it, proving to be too large even for that. The larger size (with drawers 23,5 cm (9.3 inches) long by 16,5 cm (6.5 inches) wide by 6 cm (2.4 inches) tall) is useful for most purposes, although some particularly common pieces, such as black plates (or minifigure torsos and legs) are threatening to overwhelm these too. At any rate, these drawers are apparently not being produced anymore, which leaves me in my current situation. I am trying to find cabinets with drawers larger than these, although if they are close to the size of the larger ones that would be useful too. If they have a few smaller drawers, that wouldn't really matter either. My current spaces for new cabinets have the following dimensions: 25 cm (9.8 inches) long by 60 cm (23.6 inches) wide and no height restriction 45 cm (17.7 inches) long by 140 cm (55.1 inches) wide by 160 cm (63 inches) tall. I am also looking into acquiring a display cabinet, which preferably would be hung from a wall and translucent on all sides. The space I have for that is 45 cm (17.7 inches) long by 90 cm (35.4 inches) wide by 100 cm (39.4 inches) tall. In trying to optimize the drawer space that I already have, I am trying to acquire small boxes to fit inside drawers that are 39 cm (15.4 inches) long, 35,5 cm (14 inches) wide and 21,5 cm (8.5 inches) tall. I've thought of using four smaller containers per drawer instead. Any suggestions are much appreciated. If you would like the dimensions in inches, I'll add them if you ask. *Here I'm using length as the dimension into which the drawers expand.

Moulded dragon wings? Why introduce a new mold for those when Chima already made some perfect minifigure-size bat wings?

Old Bionicle parts you'd want to see brought back for Gen 2?
DraikNova replied to Takanuinuva's topic in LEGO Action Figures
The idea is to remove the middle pin hole from the 2.0 foot and basically remove a portion similar to the classic Bionicle "hand" from it, allowing you to use the space where the pin hole would normally be to slide in the hand. It would be a tremendously ugly piece in my opinion, though, and I can't really understand why you'd want to use this as armor. -

Yeah, but for anything larger than that, it's nigh-impossible. And I have in fact experienced that problem with the Protectors. -

Considering that a foot with human proportions (1/9th of a persons body length would be my approximation) wouldn't be able to hold up a figure from any constraction system, I think that's a moot point. It's large because a boot is large. And why exactly would you need to get rid of the socket column? -

The 2.0 feet also work great to add vent details to large MOCs if put back-to-back (sole-to-sole?) or just to fill up some gaps. -
I'm not sure where you guys are getting the "symbol-less" bit from. I can see the zukin symbol on it relatively clearly.

Huh, it seems like we may know what the Temple D2C will look like.- 4,591 replies

That's actually a pretty cool mech. I hope the other builds featured in it are as good.

Personally, I think that Gali's colorscheme looks nice, although it's hard to say why considering the fact that usually, translucent colors and their "solid" equivalents clash quite badly. The use of both gunmetal and silver doesn't really bother me. You don't use the same metal for every part of a piece of armor, you use different alloys depending on what sort of stresses each part will be put under.

Wow, that is one nice polybag. I'm definitely going to try to get that one. That head looks so incredibly dopey. Also, about glow in the dark parts, the ghost weapons in the Morro Dragon set include GitD cones.

It amuses me greatly that the ninja treat a vehicle that was given to them as a trap better than their pets.- 4,591 replies

Thanks! Also, the only one of those microbuilds that seems even remotely interesting to me is the micro Electro Mech. EDIT: Ok, this is unrelated and I've probably asked it before, but since I can't find it, when is the D2C due to be released? We usually start to see pictures 2-3 weeks before the release date, right?

Good, because I'm planning to go to a LEGO store next Monday. Hopefully, they'll have the exclusives. I want to get that ghost bike.

Does anyone know whether the sets will be out in Germany soon?

Maybe they'll all get tr. armor parts, to make them seem like they're overflowing with elemental energy?

Eegh, the set version of the Morro Dragon looks way better than the show version. That's a strange reversal of the usual situation. Also:- 4,591 replies

I've had delayed releases as bad as that. However, at least you've probably never seen a $35 set sold for 54 euros.
-
Weird, I was having those problems for a while while no one else seemed to be having them, yet I can see your picture right now. Oh, and no, none of the ghost dragons have legs that bend. The Morro Dragon's legs are pretty good, though.
-
I think they had probably used up almost all of their budget to get the various recolors and elaborate head shaping stuff and just couldn't do any more. And anyway, I have tons of white bricks that I never use for anything anyway, so it shouldn't be too hard for me to fix.

Ooh, seems nice. Not the best of this wave, though, and what with the ridiculous amount of sets coming out, I may have to skip it. Can we see a picture of that printed spring green 2x2 round tile featured in the mini-temple thingy? It looks like a targeting reticule with a Skreemer on it.
