  1. Seriously? That's just plain weird. Why introduce a new color when you have a nigh-identical one already used for some parts?
  2. It was used last year as bone pieces, though. And Queen Beast had a lower jaw in that shade of blue.
  3. Yes. It's quite likely that this will remain the basis of LEGO's constructible action figure (constraction) sets for a long, long time, in fact, considering how modular and easy to expand they've tried to make the system.
  4. It doesn't fit anything. It's used to allow air to escape while attaching the piece to prevent cracking, as far as I know.
  5. Does anyone have any idea when Ninjago will be released officially? I mean, I would expect another two months at least, but with the release of Jurassic Park...
  6. The difference is like that between the modern brick system with its array of SNOT bricks and the early, slotted bricks and one-part cars from the first few years of LEGO. One is modular and designed for maximum reuse, the other is highly specialized.
  7. And a throwbot arm in CCBS form (perhaps a separate disc-holding piece, usable for storage as well and a stabilizing armor add-on piece to allow the whole arm to be swung as one. Maybe even a low-friction piece) would be glorious. I kind of want to see a CCBS revamp of Electro now, actually.
  8. We also haven't seen any non-bipedal mechs yet, with the exception of the Mechdragon, which is mostly the result of the dragon theme. I suppose you could call the Destructoid a mech, but I'd just call it a tank with arms.
  9. Oops, you're right. I just checked.
  10. Nope, the Weldos are the steampunk tribe. I really like what you did with this one. It looks very sleek and a lot more like a classic mech than your previous builds.
  11. We could have the H symbol as the middle of the Unity, Duty, Destiny symbol on the background of a cubit, but that'd be a bit much. Also, it amuses me greatly that I managed to spark off such a discussion with a minor comment. I think it could just a case of Translation Convention, where the Okotoan expression has the same meaning but refers to different things. Considering how unlikely it is for two completely separate cultures to share an expression, it'd make more sense than the expressions being consistent, even if they have hay and needles.
  12. The fairest way to judge LEGO sets is in terms of price per kg, as that seems to stay fairly consistent across time. Does anyone have any information in terms of $/kg?
  13. You also forgot Zane's ice mech and Cole's Tread Assault (which, as you'd expect, uses wheels rather than treads).
  14. Can someone please link the 9th episode? I'm having a lot of difficulty finding it. EDIT: Nevermind. "I've got a weird voice in my head again" is possibly the best BIONICLE quote of all time. Also, I noticed a cocoon hanging off the bridge the toa walked over. Could be interesting if they decided to show us what that's all about at some point. And Lewa compares finding Ekimu's tomb to finding a needle in a haystack. How would the toa know what either of those things is? I doubt either of those things even exists on Okoto.
  15. Was the fact that the D2C is a temple ever actually confirmed? I seem to recall that the original post mentioning the D2C stated so, but my memory isn't the best.
  16. That's actually an excellent-looking Great Being MOC. It really gives you a sense that these creatures are old, older than dirt. And no, I don't feel that the existence of Toa of Earth invalidates that saying.
  17. What with the way you've been behaving, I'm guessing the chances are 50/50 that you are banned instead of DV. Most of the people who tried to do stuff like this (3rdeye comes to mind) got banned a while after the conversation reached this level. Can we stop arguing about this, please, and just have a civil discussion about the actual topic rather than a dozen pointless arguments about who is right to say that the other person is wrong? At any rate, if the Doo Head with the mace was what inspired the manas, I'm kind of dissapointed. The Doo Head design seems much more interesting and is very disturbing.
  18. While we're getting of topic completely, I'd like to point out just how easy CCBS makes complicated builds. To make complicated MOCs with the old system, you'd need to buy lots of technic sets. With CCBS, you can buy only the constraction sets and still make things that are incredibly complex and huge. I've been making constraction MOCs for years, and the CCBS system allows me to do something that I considered impossible with the old one: making MOCs that actually look menacing and scary. The old system only had as many part placement options as the amount of different technic beam angles. CCBS gives you (360°)2 placement options.
  19. Walker is Jay's last name. I really love these two vehicles, the bike especially. If I understand the Jay Walker One's design, Jay's lightning weapon (which is powered by that battery behind him) sucks up the ghosts into that side-mounted assembly, processing the ghosts into Skreamers and ejecting them out of the front.
  20. Best parts pack of any IFB set, looks great if you pose it well? I jumped at the chance to get two for the price of one.
  21. Utahraptor in turn has its own problems. Its proportions are very strange if you're used to the more lithe and generally gracile Velociraptor, but it really makes sense for something that's more than thrice its size. Plus, it has teeth that stick out of its mouth (look up Masiakasaurus if you want to see a better documented case of this). I think I'd better get back on-topic, though.
  22. Personally, I hope that the movie won't cause a reboot of the franchise, but merely supplement it. The movie's style seems to be very different from that of the series that has made Ninjago so popular.
  23. Evo Walker was one of those sets that seemed horrible until you had it in your hand, at least in terms of aesthetics. I managed to spend like two hours just building and rebuilding it. It was also excellent value as a parts pack. Great posability, too. Seriously, Evo Walker was great.
  24. Megaraptor isn't even a raptor, though. It's a tyrannosaurid. The large claw turned out to be from its hand.
