  1. Why was a lack of progeny a reason not to have romance?
  2. On the subject of the accuracy of the Dilophosaurus, I think it's worth mentioning All Yesterdays. My main issue with it isn't the frill or the acid, which are unlikely, but possible, it's the Jurassic Park franchise's constant issues with feathers and scale (no pun intended), both of which are known. That "Dilophosaurus" is way too large. The weird thing is that the movie version seems to have gotten the size right. Why couldn't LEGO have made one that's at about the same size class and detail level as the collectible minifigures albatross? Just include a small launcher with tr. neon or black studs (depending on whether you want to invoke Hollywood Acid or movie accuracy) to show kids that it can spit acid.
  3. Yeah, at a little less than twice the pricepoint of the Fire Temple, and taking into account the fact that D2C's tend to have a larger parts:price ratio than "normal" sets, it should be easily possible for them to make a full temple, especially if they don't add a dragon.
  4. Also, they're not so weirdly bulbous as the Breakout version. The Breakout ones are better for shoulder armor if you want to attach them to the torso, but the new ones can be attached to the arms without looking weird. I kind of want to see how they look if they're layered a bit, or if that's even possible. They'd make great dragon scales then.
  5. "Costs of voice acting" are kind of a moot point for the Portal 2 pack, unless they bother to include GlaDOS and/or Wheatley in the levels. They might have to spend a bit on music, though.
  6. The use of translucent shields as displays is just glorious. I'm so sad that I won't be able to get it. It looks so awesome.
  7. Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. I'm just listing worst-case scenarios here.
  8. Yeah. The upper bound is probably $300, at which point I demand at least one large dragon. Here's hoping that the price of the D2C translates more logically from dollars to euros than normally. EDIT: Oh god, I've just looked at other D2Cs, and my god are they large. Nevermind the price, I won't have the space in my room for all of these sets.
  9. Maybe the others were reanimated by another means? Maybe Slicer was already wearing a Skull Spider mask when he died? Maybe they took some random skull masks that they found when they were reanimated, and Slicer took the Spider one? Or maybe Slicer took a hint from the Joker and decided to add lots of make-up to his mask, making it look like a Skull Spider.
  10. Ultimate masters of ultimate ultimata? Seriously, though, assuming a $150 pricepoint for the D2C (which is the lowest D2C prices go, as far as I know, and almost definitely the lower bound on this D2C) and a $30 pricepoint for both of the exclusives, the entirety of Ninjago's summer wave (minus airjitzu capsules) will cost $570. Just one wave. That's plain ridiculous. It's more than I've spent on all of Galaxy Squad. What makes it especially painful is that I like the summer wave so much. Ugh. I'm going to have to skip out on the Ronin R.E.X. and probably the Blaster Bike too, and hope that the D2C doesn't use the ghost color scheme skreem. Add to that the fact that I still want two more sets from the winter wave and the fact that I need to order some pieces from Bricklink to complete a MOC, plus my attempts to catch up with constraction and I think it's definite that I'm going to have to find some way to get a little more money. Seriously LEGO, why are you releasing all this good stuff in one year? At least you decided to keep BIONICLE from impacting my budget too much.
  11. Yeah, I find the current type of Bionicle mask impractical and even I can seea a couple of uses for that mask. If it gets wide enough release that I can acquire multiples, I think I might use it as Nui-Rama eyes or Tarakava scales.
  12. Wow. That thing is amazing. I love how they added another skull spider mask as a logo on top of that circle in the middle of the mask. And those little runes are cute.
  13. Also an excellent choice. It has a useful technic turntable, perfect for adding functions to your MOCs, plus a lot of connector parts.
  14. The best set in terms of useful/rare parts for the price is probably Evo Walker. Other sets from 2014 also have good ratios.
  15. That's just plain pathetic. If you want to make money, at least get the presentation right. I mean, how much money would it cost to get the description right or at least non-ridiculous? Zero, nada, nothing.
  16. The fact that they seem to be wearing green pointy hats doesn't help either. I really hope I'm just looking at that wrong.
  17. Oh god, those flying monkeys are terrifying.
  18. What I really don't understand is how he could have more difficulty writing female characters than male ones. Considering that both of the (most common) genders cover the same spectrum of personalities, just with some being more common among one or the other, the difference is practically moot.
  19. LEGO usually begins planning sets over a year ahead of time. Even if the sales are great, LEGO probably wouldn't be able to start work in time to add another wave to it's winter release schedule, and the chances are that the movie's hype will have died down by summer.
  20. I can never remember the correct size of shells . So yeah, you're right.
  21. An often cheaper alternative to Bricklink is LEGO's official "Bricks and Pieces" service, which allows you to order any parts from new sets and many from older ones. It's categorized in the same place as LEGO's missing pieces service. I for one like the yellow claws on the feet due to contrast, but those on the jaw seem slightly strange. Perhaps those could be replaced with red ones if you get them? The lower front legs would look best with long cladding pieces (7m) in my opinion, to keep the sleek look.
  22. This is actually pretty good. I would recommend trying to keep things like the type of toe claws consistent, but you probably don't have that many parts. If you can make the neck slightly longer, I would do so, as it would inhance the hunchbacked look, which is really excellently done.
  23. Yeah, if it's confirmed that it's a temple, I'm definitely hoping it's like the Ninjago Rush game's temple level: basically the Fire Temple's design aesthetic but in ghost colors. Also, hopefully a full temple, not just a facade.
  24. Now that I see the comparison, putting the two colors on the same figure doesn't actually look that bad. It's noticeable, but not by much.
  25. While I personally think that it would make sense to have a real version of that temple, I doubt the actual set will look anything like the level with the exception of the colors and the roof. Also:
