Steampunk...

Swooshable looking and detailed. A rare combination and usually a mutually exclusive one. Good job.

Well, I'm guessing you chose the silver and black colorscheme to indicate that the other toa, the ones he has absorbed, are inactive. Anyway, while I love the use of Breakout Blaster tops for the lower legs, the torso is too short by comparison. Apart from that, it's a good MOC.

Silly. I've got to admire your part collection though, that compass is really rare.- 11 replies

While I'm not a fan of Frost Beast's particular method of armor connection, it's sword is looking much better than I thought it would. Stormer looks just as awesome as he ever has. Same thing goes for Surge. Boy is he a great parts pack (Hint: yup). Somehow Dragon Bolt manages to look even snazzier than ever. And it turns out I've got a larger budget to get parts for my revamp of it, too. Jet Rocka looks a lot less awkward than I thought he would. I can't believe I haven't noticed that targeting oculus before (or was it even there in the earlier pictures?).

Your new ideas are also great. I particularly like the spider mech.

Nicely color-coordinated combo.

If it's only getting two waves, too bad. If so, I'm definitely making that wallet-buster purchase at the end of the year.

I've got to say that the frogbot is my favorite, followed by the cleaner.

I'm not even going to ask how the lion got in .

Legends of Chima 2013 (Action Figures)
DraikNova replied to DarkSurgeXL's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I highly doubt it; only a few combiners in Bionicle were ever incorporated into the story, and only one (Lucas Valor, and as the most minor of minor characters) in HF. -
Do People Really Think Bionicle's Story Got Too Convoluted?
DraikNova replied to pocketmego's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I had more-or-less the same thing happen. I followed it pretty well from when I jumped in (late 2002 or early-mid 2003) to about 2007, tried to understand the story of 2008-2009, got more-or-less utterly confused, and then decided to look at every single piece of media in 2010. Anyway, to sum up Aanchir's big block of text, there were only two "levels" of story a fan could be in, extremely simple or full-media-mode, with little option to simply be casually interested in the story without reading up on every single story. -
The vehicle splits in half? Nice to see the bugs getting that function. Nice diorama, too.

I never mentioned the legs at all, I´m just talking about the lower half of the body.

It actually stores water pods? That´s pretty cool.

Legends of Chima - Which faction are you?

That goes in the show topic. -
This is shaping up to be the best LDD MOC ever. And it's still a WIP, for crying out loud.
-
Seems like it has some pretty good articulation for such a small MOC .
-
Seems pretty nice now. The gear/clockwork theme is well-incorporated into the model, but not overly so.
-
The top half and the arms are rather impressive and don't have any problems, but the lower part is just too gap-y. With a bit of a redesign (Or maybe just a pair of Glatorian necks) you should be able to fill up that gap pretty well.

Press Release 10237 - Tower of Orthanc
DraikNova replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow. I'm sure as hell not going to buy this, but I'm definitely going to take a few design hints from this every once in a while. -
You know, you really wonder what the "Average" option in the poll is for with these sets. With LEGO, "average" is synonymous with "amazing".
