  1. Well, for a "one-set" MOC, it's rather good. The shape of the main body looks rather realistic (as far as something like this can be realistic, anyway), although it might look better if you tried to set it at a 90o angle with the ground.
  2. Here's the right . Anyway, the entire team looks very impressive together.
  3. Well, of all the Toa Heroes (did I just quote Matau?) you've built, this one seems the most accurate to the original character. You've even kept that "hunchbacked" look .
  4. Maybe you should remove the blue pin and use the flick-fire missile as the part that connects it instead?
  5. This guy has got to be your best yet. The only thing I'd change are the hands, which would look better with the newer 2.0 five-fingered style.
  6. Very good attempt at recreating Pohatu with HF. Actually, I think he's pretty much perfect. I like how you used the paw piece as chest armor.
  7. Well, Jet Rocka is a lot better than I thought he would be. He looks streamlined, actually. Dragon Bolt was already such a favorite that it can't really rise any higher in my opinion. Same goes for Surge.
  8. It works well. I would recommend using one of those Ordeal of Fire-type red-and-yellow zamors though.
  9. Actually, there are quite a few technic pieces in the build. They're just covered up so it looks less robotic. Anyway, here are some of my plans for this MOC: The wings will be made mainly out of basic upper limb bones. The head will be made out of several armored torsos, and will get a Voltix lightning piece crest. The tail is going to consist out of several parallel lengths of bones, eventually thinning to one. Any suggestions?
  10. Wow. Great job. I don't see why you think the bricks seem badly scratched; you can hardly see the scratches at all.
  11. I'm trying to make the upper leg a bit thicker (which will be easier once I start on the body), to give the impression of shoulder muscles. Also, while it's not apparent in these pictures, both parts of the claws can move independently (the back part has two joints, actually). I'm also trying to make the creature a bit darker than the official set.
  12. Well, while the Dragon Bolt set seems like one of the best LEGO has produced, I was a little underwhelmed by it's size. So, I've decided to make something...larger. I've just finished the legs, which should be a good indicator of scale. Oh, and here's some backstory I've made for the species. Comments and criticism welcome.
  13. How about the Aero Booster?
  14. I love it when people make "Friends-tone" MOCs. All the color makes a definite impression and this MOC is loaded with greebles besides (binoculars+screwdriver+strange piece that always seems to pop up while MOCcing=awesomeness).
  15. I like the way you've sunk some of the dishes into the wall. The K-9 is pretty nice too. It seems that with LEGO, the afterthoughts are the most important part .
  16. Seems like a nice MOC. Are there any more pictures?
  17. Great work meshing the parts together; that gives it a really solid look. However, the blades on the right arm just don't look similar to the rest of the MOC. The MOC has a great "clunky" look to it, which the blades don't really fit with.
  18. The thing is, the only "movie" we're getting is a 22-minute special, which is the same length as all the other episodes up till now.
  19. Basically, with the transition from Bionicle to HF, the focus has shifted from "story" to "function" (overly detailed armor to slick 2.0 system). The old canisters meant something in-story, but were clunky, expensive and took up a lot of space. The new ones don't have any story purpose, but are cheap to manufacture and easy to store.
  20. Nice colorscheme you've got with this one. Two problems: 1. The ankle guards are far too large. I'd replace them with normal armor shells. 2. The flick-fire missile sticking out of the drill throws off the look of it and exposes a blue pin, which doesn't fit in the otherwise flawless colorscheme.
  21. Well, the entire thing looks pretty good. In fact, the only thing I'd change is the legs, which should be slightly longer, in my opinion.
  22. I thought this was your best MOC yet until I saw that you had used the Krika blade/stinger piece, which just throws of the colors. The rest of the MOC is pretty good and, although the arms could use some work, the custom body is impressive.
  23. A.W.E.S.O.M.E. The mesh of parts is impressive. The parts fit together well, and the tr. shell in the middle just perfects it.
  24. The tr. works well here, especially the printed Pyrox shells on the upper legs. In fact, the only thing that bothers me about this MOC is the blaster, which looks out of place. A custom and perhaps smaller variant would work better.
  25. It could indicate either: 1. LEGO's doing well off of it and wants to promote it further 2. It's selling horribly, LEGO figures it might as well use the leftover sets to try and save it. 3. It's just a promotion, plain and simple. It could even have been part of the original "promotion plan" for this theme.
