  1. It's always been fine to tell multiple characters' stories, so I don't see why your plan wouldn't fit really well! Lovely intro build, great choice of colors and I really like the divan and table areas built into the walls. Welcome back!
  2. Welcome! Looking forward to your sigfig!
  3. Fantastic native themed MOC! Great call layering rock and sand to make the higher houses easily visible, and excellent presentation of various native activities! I also really like the little roof over the window on the front house.
  4. Is that a... cat... on top of a palm tree??? Neat job with the statue... especially the big ears...
  5. All I remember from Mophet is Gideon's excellent The Fighting Pit of Mophet, which you may have already seen!
  6. I really like the lumpy desert you've got here, and also your way of slinging the pack over the horse's back! And great combination of colors for the ground!
  7. Very nice forced perspective Captain! I really like the different sizes of palm trees you've got there!
  8. Great vegetation! I really like the texture around back too, especially the brown - not something we see very often!
  9. Hooray for the round roof and yellow door! Great cottage, fun concept too! I really like the bright water coming off the base. There may be a little too much going on at the front of the build though, what with the three colors for the path, the studded textures, the fencing, the clothesline, and a projecting rock. But a yellow frog! Great stuff.
  10. Great little slice of Varlyrio! Really good use of those tan garage panel pieces, and the tall overhanging wood structure is a great concept for Varlyrian dockyards!
  11. I love the colors of this microscale, and the layout too! So many neat details, like the round building (forget exactly what those things are called ) on the edge of the cliff, the bridge, fountains, and castle courtyard! I for one would definitely love to see more microscale from you!
  12. Dutch influence is strong too though!
  13. The helmet looks medieval enough to me - in fact, i think it's pretty cool! Where's it from?
  14. I really like the style you've got going here with this and your fort for Varlyrio, the dark flesh and light grey complement each other well!
  15. What a lovely Kaliphlin build LJ, I enjoyed seeing it in person! The layout is really nice, with gradually heightening buildings, and I really like the blend of colors - particularly the sand and white checkers! The light grey rockwork also goes really well with tan, a combination I will have to keep in mind! Great job showing Historica what Kaliphlin is all about! I think I spotted 8 sig-figs. SKs, mine, yours, NMs, Gabe's, Sarahjoy's, Gideon's, Erynlasgalen's (not sure about that last one...).
  16. Oh dear. You've done it all right. :faints: I extend a dubious welcome of armed neutrality. because I already know what guild you're going to pick...
  17. Lovely curved corner! Torch looks a little dangerous so close to the wood though. Looking forward to seeing where the family fortunes take your characters!
  18. That has happened to me a time or two!
  19. Welcome to Kaliphlin @adde51 ! Looking forward to seeing your city grow!
  20. I'm going to have to bring out my lime green again, it looks so good here! Great little build, love the stone wall, chickens, and clumps of vegetation!
  21. As a general rule of thumb I think in the past the criteria for "double licensing" builds has been whether they showed effort in two directions. Eg. Maxim could build a small bakery on a 16x16 and a platform with troops on it and post and license each separately; or he could combine them into one build. Clearly from a build quality POV a 20x20 bakery + soldiers is nicer than a smaller bakery and "figs on a plate". Or for instance it would be perfectly legitimate to build a dock and include a ship that's licensed separately, provided both show effort. Or to build a 16x32 with half the space dedicated to a forge and half to a brewery, and license that as two small artisans. Multiplying threads is not necessary. Although, I should mention, doing so will I believe flag the forms for leadership and they will have to manually verify that the creation is indeed worthy of two licenses. Bottom line: footprint/size should justify two licenses. The amount of pictures you take/threads you post it in is secondary. MRCA is a different animal, personally I've understood with SilentWolf that a MRCA build can be used just like a Free Build (though I've never used it that way). You can't submit a MRCA build as a FB, but you don't license MRCAs, as MRCAs, so licensing them as whatever they actually are (provided they are a unique build that falls within property license/ship license categories) seems to me perfectly legitimate.
  22. Welcome to Kaliphlin Master Petrus! Looking forward to hearing tales of your adventures!
  23. Great work with the lighting here! Really gives the build an ambiance, I love how the lattice reflects on the stone. Neat touches with the firewood, dragon on the chimney, and the chandelier. Enjoyed the story too!
  24. What a great bustling port scene, I love how all the guilds are represented! Really neat layout too with the angled dock/platform!
