This is pretty colossal! Quite the swarm of soldiers and lovely pink flowers along the border of the river. Some very nice architectural patterns on the castle too!

[SR - Ch III - Cat E] The Last Stand
Kai NRG replied to Corweena's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
That looks good man... I may have just found a use for my dozens and dozens of extra katana... -
If you follow some LEGO blogs or stuff (like The Brothers Brick - and Eurobricks, for that matter) they'll often link you to featured builders whose streams are worth following. I follow mostly builders myself so I get mostly relevant suggestions for others to follow. Or I guess you could find a good builder and go through their following. There's definitely some great LEGO content on IG.

The window stands out here! I like the way you built the stepping stones into the ground too, and nice layout for the house with that subtle angle.

I do have some discolored whites, not quite enough to use them purposefully yet.

This castle has a really cool style, with the wood and the dark grey stones. Looks like you really put some love into the interior too - I bet it would be fun to play with!

Quite a cool architectural style you've chosen here! I also like the extra level to the street. -
Thanks Professor! Thanks! Yes, next time I do something abandoned I will consider that! It's kind of hard to add different colors to white to make it look run down without the colors looking too glaring, but with a different color building it might be easier. Thanks! That was a fun piece to use! Thank you! I was an Octan member back in the Andromeda's Gate day... It was fun designing a new way to build the symbol for it.

[Nocturnus Civil War] Rockwail's Catacombs: Rise of the Undead
Kai NRG replied to Exetrius's topic in Guilds of Historica
Lots of cool details in this MOC - the graves built into the floor, the curving stairs, the arch entrance, and those crates for the armor! And then of course the glowing... er... plants... Great job!- 12 replies

Book III - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Kai NRG replied to Kai NRG's topic in Guilds of Historica
1. That style of architecture and landscape would fit well on the Kaliphlin-Avalonia border! 2 & 3 You'd be welcome to build a bit in Eastgate - all Kaliphlin cities are open to builds from anyone. Eastgate is @SkaForHire's city mostly, so if you would like to make significant additions to its lore, it would be good to get on the same page with Ska. You're also welcome to create your own city - or a castle! - somewhere in that same general area. 4. No, we don't have a year system... just an order of events. 5. Someone please help. Not too much time, since Queen Ylspeth was introduced at the end of Book II (I think...). Maybe a couple of years? Honestly, everyone works the time to suit their own stories! 6. Yes. I think. Welcome to Kaliphlin and the Guilds and Eurobricks! Looking forward to seeing your MOCs! -
Thanks y'all! The background is a computer screen by the way. I'm not in Hawaii or something.

The blue and white is eye catching! It's really neat how you brought that bit of bright color - that and the horse trappings - into an otherwise earth-toned creation. The slanting road looks great too, and I like the fence you built with hoses. Hope you keep building!

Beautiful job with the water! That tree is also nicely done, and as I mentioned on Instagram, the bank is really cool - though rather dangerous looking!

Nice use of those new rounded 1x2 plates. They really come in handy for stonework!

[MOC] A Little Bit of Magic - Trade District of Albion
Kai NRG replied to Silver.Smith's topic in Guilds of Historica
What a beautiful build to come back to the guilds with! It sure makes me excited to see more from you! I'll say it again - the Kali stall is the best part; such a lovely awning. But the stained glas window is great - really nice in itself, and so whimsically placed right on a wall where you'd never expect something like that. One more thing I have to mention - the message board. That's one idea I may end up stealing! -
Chapter IChapter IIChapter IIIChapter IVChapter V Chapter VI Chapter VII Chapter VIII Chapter IX Chapter X Chapter XI Chapter XII Chapter XIII (you are here) Chapter XIV After working hard to outfit a pirate hunting fleet, Captain Argentum is ready to set sail for adventure, trying to leave the haunting memories of Lady Cora far behind him... _________ I'm away from my bricks but I picked up a few and am trying to see if we can't keep Captain Argentum's story moving with them! This technically is set two MRCAs ago. We will catch up to the shipwreck sooner or later! I'd really like to hear what you all think about this... presentation, since it can hardly be called a build, so C&C welcome!

Nice job on the fallen tree! A few green plates to imitate moss might have made it look even more natural. The blend of green leaves on the standing tree looks great though!

Thanks Grover! I didn't think about syringes, but I thought about bottles and decided that'd be too dark for what I was going for. This was a really fun genera to build in though, great opportunity to use a wide variety of accessories! It'd be great if this inspires you!

I pass several abandoned gas stations on my normal route to the grocery store. Granted, the don't have quite as much lying around. But that's the fun part! First time I've tried drawing a background for a MOC. Fairly happy with how it turned out! The graffiti on the side here was probably the hardest part. Tough to decide on how best to build letters into the wall. In the end, I wanted a curved style with few sharp edges, so I decided to use tiles and let it stick out from the wall. First time I use the pink heart tile. More pictures on my blog, including a WIP shot. Comments and critique welcome!

You did a great job turning this castle into an Architecture-style creation! The 1x1 bricks with studs sticking out one side work surprisingly well.

I see a little bit of a face on this house. As others have said, the minifigure is very well done!

And there's a now a GoH Discord server! Hopefully it'll be a good place to share WIPs easily.

Sounds like a fun challenge! And this is a really nice bit of forest, I love all the animals peeking around. The round green studs on the trees looks really nice, don't think I'd ever seen that before!

Nice job with the water, the dark tan was a good idea! Also fun to spot the chameleon.

Looking great, like Henjin said the carving takes it up a level!
