  1. Looking forward to seeing where you take this settlement! Nice landing scene!
  2. I always enjoy seeing one of these kind of temples, you did a really neat job with the vegetation. Clever use of legs too! Where'd you get that striped cat btw? Really cool!
  3. I like your stone wall technique and also the arch over the gate. Nice job on the path too!
  4. Really neat pixelated style. Great job laying out the town like this!
  5. That's quite the weapon! Looks quite cool, especially the snake heads.
  6. The upside down roof is really nice, makes me want to try it on a larger building!
  7. This is a great little micro, very effective use of simple pieces and the colors are perfect!
  8. Great job on the mixing of colors in the roof and the walls. As I mentioned on Flickr, the tree is really good too. I think it looks even better in contrast to the olive toned ground vegetation. A lovely MOC!
  9. Really like the way you did that railing with spears out front! Nice work throughout the rest of the build too.
  10. This is a very nice figure - not just because of that awesome sword (but it is an awesome sword for sure...).
  11. Missed that! Neat stuff! I only ever have used trans 2x2 duplo bricks as water a few times.
  12. Really like the green roofs on both of these!
  13. That's some Corries! Impressive army. And is that a Duplo sky? Haven't seen that before!
  14. Nice micro! Effective use of headlight bricks.
  15. Unfortunately Flickr made me delete a lot of old photos (I do have most of 'em around somewhere and might get around to replacing them someday...) but here is the earliest hanging that still has a picture. I keep track of all my stories in this thread so you may find more to amuse you there. At least the stories are all intact!
  16. What a fun idea Ayrlego! Great way to close it off. And you've got Uncle in just the right place too. Great job bringing this together everyone!
  17. Great job on this series, it's been a pleasure to see it come together!
  18. You could probably do a layer of tiles and put the fountain walls on top. It would be a little tricky not to get any water outside the fountain, but I think with the 1x1 rounds you should be able to do it.
  19. Great job with this build! The fountain is striking and eye catching, but the slanted gate is also great and solid flanking buildings on each side.
  20. Great job on this trio of builds. The roof on the middle one is especially nice - dark blue was a great touch. I also really like how well you presented the activity in each scene - great minifigure posing! +1 for the UoP credits!
  21. I love how dark the vegetation is here, it really helps make it look dangerous. Great job on the spider itself, especially that face - hard to look away from! +1 for the two credits you applied for!
  22. Thanks valon!
  23. This looks great, good call doing some green grapes in that front section! I like the creek going through it too.
  24. So this is where the discussion originated, thanks for mentioning me Grover. I agree (obvs) that it would be too hard to get permissions to really replicate a GoH world and besides, it's too messy to replicate in the first place. So, I would suggest avoiding using any of the original names. Maybe you could keep the same colors, and four factions [GoH purposefully uses existing LEGO castle logos for their factions; since you are building a world, it makes total sense to design new ones]. If you were working with a team of guildies themselves, you could get those individual people's sig-figs which would be a lot of fun. Easter egg nods are always awesome. But if I were you I wouldn't even think about trying to replicate the guild story itself. That has developed piecemeal over time and is just not the right kind of story for a product line IMHO. I've looked into World Builder just a touch and said to myself, definitely going to do that. Someday. I've yet to be whacked over the head with a brilliant idea, you know what I mean? But I do want to try to do something sooner rather than later. This discussion is doing a good job of reminding me of that resolution. I will need to block off a month for it next year.
  25. Exactly. It doesn't take a lot of FP mastery to do clouds.
