Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
Kai NRG replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
The power drill played a massive role, true. But I don't see why Zane's father was really need to create that. The only other thing he did was fix the falcon. I suppose it is understandable that only he could do that.- 4,591 replies

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
Kai NRG replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I'd have to agree on that but Lloyd should still have known about the Mega Weapon. Not that I want to bring that discusion back. Just pointing out that there was a flaw there, though I don't see how any future episode could fill it. I always thought that episode (in general, the return of Zane's father) was extreamly pointless. Virtually the only thing he ever did that couldn't have easily been done by someone else was use the bounty to protect Lloyd. However, if there is a spotlight on Zane in another series/episode, then it would make a lot more sense.- 4,591 replies

Nice little burning house! Like the claws poping out of the dresser as well!

Well, that's a nice list, but about three fourths of those I can't see ever being made. They're just not the sort of thing LEGO's target age would be interested in unless they had watched the show.
-
Yeah, I thought about that too. But what other sets would LEGO make from the Stone Army series?
-
Guess that means no TV show until then at least, since Garmadon is good now... but what else would they do from that line? Maybe this means there will be kimono (whatever) spinners in summer!

No, they're just different view of Crominus. One of the cards says "...mpor Viz", one didn't say anything, the first one said Crominus... and if you look closely they look like it's all him.

That one side of his face certainly does look demented. I like the other side way better. He looks great with his mask on. Sure hope he appears in a cheaper set later!

Store Exclusive Promo Pricing?
Kai NRG replied to GandalftheAWESOME's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
So basically it's almost a cushion? What's the outside? Is it plastic, or something else? Given that it was hung in windows and dosen't really have much inside, I doubt it would be worth much ($5, possibly?). But you never know. -
That's what it sound like to me. They're probably trying to make sure they can revive it next year should Chima not go as well as the hoped. Either that or LEGO has realized that Ninjago still has a large fan base out there that wants it to continue!

End of the world: Nasa says it's cancelled. But is it?
Kai NRG replied to Cecilie's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Nice job! I particularly like the use of the fire ball for a planet (right? Mars?), and the blue surrounding the Aliens! -
Thanks! If anything, I drew inspiration from the Lone Ranger trailer (my brother build something like that for his cowboys to play "King of the Mountain" on... and then I thought it would make a good Ill Advised Journey, so I tore it down and did it all over again). Now I'm imagining the bottom guy going "Nice boy, good croc, ..." Thanks!

Good one!

Crominus has bushy white eyebrows? Oh well. He looked worse than I had thought he was. Are you playing with a studded ramp? Yeah, I can see how that wouldn't work well, but maybe if you changed to this piece? Of course that doesn't go quite as high... and I don't have any Speedorz so I'm just spouting things off... but I believe that piece is included in a few of the Speedorz sets. So since the ramps don't work that well, I guess the challenges like the "Jungle Gates" would be easier?

Yeah, they could just be talking about a few more episodes to promote the sets we already knew were coming out. As far as the "into 2014" stuff that could just mean that the sets won't be discontinued for quite a while (both the upcoming 6 and this year's Summer release).

Personally my favorites are the Colby City and the Mine.

Here is my second entry... Topic (clicking on the picture also takes you there!). I'm wondering if I can edit it with better photos tomorrow morning? Probably not, but it can't hurt to ask right?

Edit: With the end of the world over, I got a better version done: You can still check out the first one below: The one and only Apocalipsaur swoops down on it's prey, bringing death and devastation wherever it goes. Beware! An attack could well cause the end of the world! _______________ Whew. I was very surprised at how well this turned out (even if it didn't turn out that great)! I consider myself no good at building large creatures. One reason I don't think I've tried in quite a while! I'll take a few more pics tomorrow morning if the whether's good (and if we're still here...). It will probably be too late to post it then but you can check my Flickr! Comments are welcome!

Guilds of Historica Introduction/General Discussion Thread
Kai NRG replied to I Scream Clone's topic in Guilds of Historica
Can I jump on that as well? Oh... see if I don't keep up the two/three free builds a week thing! *sigh* You are getting the new members, I must admit. But it won't really matter if you pass us since we're so close to Avalonia we'll still be in second anyway! -
Yeah, but I kind of figured LEGO would be a bit more up-to-date with Chima!

It certainly sounds more impressive as well! And that puts more difference between the others too. Anyway, are there two judges or was that just an example? (I thought all four guild leaders judged.) -
Kaliphlin Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
Kai NRG replied to Si-MOCs's topic in Guilds of Historica
Yeah, I was kind of wondering about that too. 50 per build is a lot, but 50 total wouldn't make sense, plus it would be hard to divide up between guilds (though I think you've only had one non-kaliphlin so far). I did a miniature castle not too long ago, though it was bigger than these builds I had kind of assumed it qualified for the full 50. I guess scoring micro-builds has never really been a problem as there haven't been too many (at least as far as I know). Edit: Looks like a lot of Historicans (Kaliphlin at least) have gone Holiday-bye, but I'll try to hold the fort. (I'm not going anywhere until mid-January.) So here's one of those two builds I've had done for quite a while but never got around to writing the story for (click-picture-topic): Edit 2: Second Free-Build of the week! -
I wonder why so late (date, not time)? I kind of thought they would want to air it early in January... but maybe Ninjago will be airing then?

Guilds of Historica Introduction/General Discussion Thread
Kai NRG replied to I Scream Clone's topic in Guilds of Historica
I see, I get it. Any reason to base the winners on the rawscore rather than the average (just at a glance, it doesn't seem to make any diffrence, but I could be wrong)? -
Guilds of Historica Introduction/General Discussion Thread

I was going to say this earlier... the max for a free build is 50, but I'm guessing Challenge entries can earn 100? Also, do those numbers translate directly into gold?
