  1. Aye, take every rumour with a grain of salt until there is an official announcement. But it appears @lego_insider_news was banned for stealing information, not the accuracy of the information itself.
  2. Thank ye! @lego_insider_news came through with the goods on the recent LEGO House exclusive so maybe there is hope...
  3. If we're talking about large imperial/soldier sets, then 6276 Edlorado Fortress and 6277 Imperial Trading Post are the only two. From which source(s) can this placeholder name be observed?
  4. You are perhaps correct. There was a period during 2020 when they were rejecting Imperial submissions from LEGO Ideas because apparently they "overlapped" with the Pirates of Barracuda Bay concept. Whether that was the actual reason or just a convenient excuse remains unknown, but we made a fuss and that seems to have made them reconsider. Or maybe it was merely coincidental!
  5. Well, technically Pirates of Barracuda Bay is a different class of structure... I.e. pirate island or shipwreck island. Whereas, a fortress or outpost (within the LEGO Pirates theme) is generally a masonry structure pertaining to an Imperial faction. So on that basis, a fortress is conceptually different to both a pirate island and a ship, in terms of faction, structure and aesthetic. Therefore, is the question actually; will it be a ship, pirate island or fortress? Or have I unnecessarily over-complicated things?
  6. Aye, more or less another exclusive set which is not available to everyone who may want one.
  7. Guess that means you've been on the ride too?
  8. These look a lot less abstract than my efforts! Which AI generator did you use?
  9. These are great! The close-ups of the minifigs adds so much more character to the scene and brings the place to life.
  10. Since there's only two photos, the blog post provides a generous amount of information on the actual ride. Do you happen to have any Work In Progress shots or behind the scenes photos that haven't been posted? Did this inspire you to acquire the Pirates of the Caribbean LEGO sets? Or do you see the film franchise and it's merchandise as a completely separate entity?
  11. Do yer happen to have a link to this review?

  13. A blog post is underway! How many times have you been on the ride? And at which Disneyland(s)?

  15. Thank ye, kindly! I did turn to Google and look up the good doctor after I wrote my previous post. Seems I'm a couple of decades behind in my Disney movies!
  16. No idea who Dr. Facilier is but we're getting closer to that Voodoo Shaman minifig I suggested a while back...
  17. Nope, this is fine. As The LEGO Group has failed miserably with innovating accessories for historic themes in recent times, it's understand why builders would wish to seek third-party options. Oh come on Mister Phes, be reasonable! They released Pirates and Treasure VIP Add On Pack 40515 with a golden cock - what more could people possibly want in terms of accessories?
  18. You raise very good good points! I was beginning to feel I was being overly pessimistic for probing others about the impetus of their speculation. I'm very much figures driven rather than the old "Well, I could see The LEGO Group doing yaddy yaddy yada insert my own intrinsic reasoning which could far removed from the actual reason" But fans sure do love to speculate so better not rain on their parade too much!
  19. Actually, you provided us with so much content we wrote two blog posts, the second post has all the Work In Progress material. We'll publish that at some point in the future, probably when your LEGO Ideas submission exceeds 5,000 supporters and we need to give it a little push to send it on its way to 10K.
  20. You're a lot more optimistic than I am! But let's hope you're right.
  21. That be Azog. Babyteeth/Kwakly submitted a concept for a ship along those lines to LEGO Ideas a while back. It reached 10K supporters but failed the review process.
  22. I'm not an expert on space ships anyway. But I do seem to recall Disney having their own Pirate-themed franchise upon which LEGO ships are based. Although, I appreciate the original LEGO ships more so than the Disney licenced ships. What evidence do we have to confirm the recent pirate sets performed better than Galaxy Explorer?
  23. So someone can't appreciate a good space ship unless it's tied to an existing franchise?
