  1. Yer welcome! Did you acquire Blocks Magazine? Or are you just reading from the points I've listed?
  2. I'm planning ahead for a future blog post titled "10 Things You Probably Didn't Know About LEGO Pirates" I've been reading the recent issues of Blocks Magazine which have interviews Niels Milan Pedersen who, along with Jens Nygaard Knudsen, originally created the LEGO Pirates theme. Niels shares some great anecdotes about the theme's conception that haven't been published elsewhere (that I'm aware of). That got me to thinking... what is some trivia even long term LEGO Pirates fans may not be aware of? So I've began compiling a list, which I'll expand upon with images in the blog post, but what should be included? @TalonCard, you're a master LEGO Pirates historian, and you could probably create an ongoing series on this topic, but if you were limited to 10 facts (that aren't commonly known), what would you suggest? Here's what I've got so far: Planning for the LEGO Pirates Theme began as early as 1982 The LEGO Pirates theme was ready to launch in 1985 The Crocodile Came Before the Dragon The Original Pirate Flag Almost Didn't Happen The Blue Coat Soldiers are Officially French There Are 9 Lady Bird Book Titles The Imperial Armada Minifigures Do Have Names
  3. There are YouTube videos that might provide an answer: And here some videos from other products with yellowed plastic:
  4. Also, there's Towarzysz Klocek who appears to be in the business and has a Facebook Page name Sails and Fabrics for LEGO sets
  5. It would be awesome to see you take it from it's current condition to a fully build and restored ship! And the more updates you share, the more likely people will contribute advice...
  6. It sure was! Is this going to be one of those topics in which you provide progress reports as you gradually restore and build your Skulls Eye Schooner?
  7. This is fantastic! I saw this on the frontpage weeks ago I was meant to post something sooner but a million other things intervened. @notmarvei, any objections to featuring this on the ClassicPirates Instagram?
  8. If you happen to get in contact with him, it may be beneficial to ask for a more solid form of contact. It would be great to recommend someone like him in conjunction with ReBrickable designs. But we can only do that, if he can be reliably contacted.
  9. It would be great if we had a more direct contact rather than having to rely on tagging him on Facebook. Does he have a website or Instagram profile?
  10. How does someone contact Tim if they'd like to purchase his replica sails?
  11. That's fantastic news! But as for the sails... what if someone wants to recreate those?
  12. Yes, that post has flown past 100K Reach and the classic marketing collateral usually prompts that kind of response, so we should definitely use it to our advantage. I think acquiring high resolution scans and tidying up those posters, one by one may have potential. So each time a new poster is complete, we mail it out to subscribers while adding it a Vault/archive post webpage on Classic-Pirates.com. And then when we've completed the 1989-1997 posters, we can write a blog plot and promote the webpage. This way, they subscribers receive ongoing updates while everyone else has to wait for archive webpage to be completed. It's a great idea... but who has the time and skills to commit to something like that on a regular basis?
  13. We've resurrected the Classic Pirates Mailing List! So now you can get News and MOCs delivered straight to your inbox. A Subscribe Form can be found here: https://www.classic-pirates.com/subscribe We also want YOUR feedback and suggestions for the type of exclusive Email content you'd like to receive. We've already brainstormed a few ideas like: FREE wallpapers for your phone, tablet and computer FREE media like a remastered version of the Guide to the LEGO Pirate Minifigures series FREE building instructions for MOC sets like The Warty Crab... or maybe something bigger! But maybe there's something else you'd like to receive? If so, tell us! What would make YOU excited to OPEN your inbox? What exclusive goodies would make your mailing list subscription more valuable?
  14. Thank ye! Added an entirely new section to the post with your find.
  15. Can we please use this photo in the blog plost? So "dual moulded is the correct term for those legs - meaning the black and red are plastics of two different colours, rather than one of the colours being printed over the moulded legs?
  16. Aye, a merchant vessel strikes fear into the hearts of weary cabbages!
  17. Apparently someone in the Classic Pirates Facebook Group was told by a staff member to save for the upcoming pirate set. So maybe the employees of those stores have more intel... Anyways... where's the photos of yer new crew member?
  18. Did you happen to ask the staff about the upcoming Soldiers set while you were there?
  19. Maybe yer could also try yer fortunes on eBay - it's the bay with all the auctions!
  20. This is the LEGO Pirates Forum - this information really belongs in the Lego Medieval Village (2023/24 set?) Discussion Thread in the LEGO Historic Themes Forum.
  21. Thank ye, very kindly, sir! Will you be getting the Skeleton Pirate for yerself, @Jack Sassy?
  22. HURRAH! All that time taking those photos has paid off! Suppose I could post the photos in this topic... but nay! Make people read the blog post instead.
  23. Did it answer your question satisfactorily?
  24. Guess you haven't read the blog post yet?
