  1. All questions relating to the Voting Rules should be asked in the the Voting Rules topic. But you'll find that the answer to that particular question has already been answered in that topic.
  2. Wait a moment... Upon further review you have indeed gone back and commented on those older entries... but your comments are perhaps less detailed than some of the other critics. But you've been doing a fantastic job - definitely in the top 5!
  3. The Voting Rules is what yer looking for.
  4. Creative Critic Leaderboard - UPDATE 21 August Registrants activity has been assessed and the leaderboard has been updated. The latest chart excludes: Registrants who have withdrawn. Registrants who have not yet participated - but are still eligible to participate until August 26 to be included in the next update. Creative Critic Impressions @thewatchman While useful, feedback has been provided as lists rather that in a form that engages conversation. @TimGoodwin Provided some brief but useful feedback within the first week of the contest but has ceased participation. @hikouki Participated for a single day and contributed short posts asking questions. @Dreamweb Imparted some useful building advice during the earlier part of the contest but participation waned after a few weeks. @iragm Has maintained a high level of participation and providing in depth feedback. Posts providing subsequent feedback are quite often more detailed than the initial post. Has also contributed ideas to contest management topics. @_R_R_ Started the contest providing good feedback but became significantly less active after posting own entries. @Yoggington Provided some helpful building advice with visual examples during the first month of the contest but participation has since stalled aside from one post. @durazno33 Provided some helpful feedback during the first couple of weeks of the contest but participation has ceased. @MstrOfPppts Has covered the Mini Set Category entries and newer Main Building Category entries. Provided thorough feedback throughout the duration of the contest and subsequent feedback is often very detailed. Has also excelled at providing useful suggestions in contest management topics. @NOD Leaves decent feedback but nowhere near as active as some of the other Creative Critics. Paticipation spiked around August 8 -11 but has since died off. @JeffBuilds A bit late to the party but still has only participated for a single day. @Seaber Some good, yet brief feedback in early July. Participation stalled after a few days. @Rogue Redcoat Great participation with feedback that stimulates discussion but has slowed since mid August. Also, still has neglected entries from first few weeks of contest. Has also contributed ideas to management topics and demonstrated proofreading skills. @Interactive Bricks Provided good feedback on some of the earlier entries but participation has ceased. @Mazin Great of level of participation and very conversational. Extremely active on new entries, as well as, making the effort to provide feedback on entries submitted prior to registration.
  5. Thank you. It's not for me. It's so everyone else knows what you're referring to. So there are some differences between the BlueBrixx and LEGO minifigures.
  6. Could you please provide a link to the YouTube video?
  7. Source of information?
  8. Updating the classic style with modern pieces and colours is fine - you have succeeded in creating a great mini set!
  9. Are ye kidding? It's just a matter of including a palm leaf instead of a pine tree.
  10. If we go by the Bricklink and ReBrickable inventories, yes.
  11. Simple yet effective - great work!
  12. Splendid proofreading - we should put you on blog duty!
  13. While this is true, the contest briefing stated to design a classic-style LEGO Pirate set and those classic sets had a very Caribbean setting... or at least tropical setting. But it's up to the Creative Critics to decide how much geographic innovation and interpretation should be permitted.
  14. And time is ticking to complete entries... Less than 2 weeks remain!
  15. Can't wait to see what you come up with! We also added second and third place prizes to the Main Building Category... so maybe that be an inspiration if you want to build something slightly larger.
  16. Let's see what the Creative Critics have to say...
  17. And you have done a fine job with the parts available to you!
  18. It certainly does look enticing! Except for the pine trees... need more tropical plants instead. But is there enough design in there to avoid violating this rule?
  19. Yes, this is fine in the case of children.
  20. Since there are only two Imperial Armada sets you haven't got much reference material to draw from. But what stands out about 6244 Armada Sentry is the use of green highlights with some subtle gray areas, which are perhaps defining features of this subtheme as they differentiate the buildings from those found in the Soldiers and Imperial Guards sub themes. In another fan creation (unrelated to this contest) you'll note the builder has picked up on these details and incorporated them into the build: I think there are some more things the builder could have done to ensure design consistency but you can observe how the two builds are related.
  21. I just caught a glimpse of this wonderful presentation in a social media story and immediately assumed The LEGO Group were officially releasing another Adventurers set, complete with vintage style box artwork. I immediately Googled the set number and taken right back to Eurobricks. I must say I am thoroughly impressed with graphic design skills!
  22. Great spot! Yes, that's exactly what I meant. Up the Creative Critic Leaderboard you go! Oh wait... you withdrew from that category. Never mind.
