  1. I will add this to the list of things I need to check up on. It seems like there is something wrong in the ship registry, but whether that is on my end, or the original data, I am not sure. I will get back to you.
  2. @Capt Wolf Even having run the calculations and written small parts of the write-up, and having seen the rest before publishing, I am still super excited every time these are published! It is absolutely thrilling to read, to look for your own ships or factions mentioned, or to follow some of your favourite characters. Even bad news make an exciting read. And of course, the defeat of the Lotus fleet is excellent news! It is a testament to the importance and entertainment these are! I will have a look in the orders and calculations and see what happened.
  3. Excellent intro. I wish you all the best in your endeavours!
  4. Well, the title already had me a bit confused, but seeing the contents, it all makes sense. Beautiful exterior, well-built polyguillotine, lovely courtroom, and fun story!
  5. The blockade has been broken, and I would say the siege is broken too, although the Lotus armies are definitely still a threat near the settlement. Oleon forces are moving in from the West, and Greenies and Redcoats have arrived in the settlement.
  6. As far as I can see, there is a lot of preparations for battle being done, but no "official" attack build. Until such a build is made, combat will only rise if the Lotus decides to attack. Given the extensive preparations so far, I am assuming the plan is to attack, and that an attack build will be forthcoming, coordinated between the factions? I don't think we have set a deadline yet, though, although agreed it could be after the tMRCA deadline?
  7. Certainly, I cannot be the only one to chuckle at the prospect of fixing economical problems by building a garden? Excellent trees, great lampposts, and a lovely texture all around. Well done. I do not think it looks as unfinished as you think, and it has a very serene atmosphere.
  8. I shall need to correct this, but otherwise, a fine introduction to the EGS. Every player has one free class 1 or 2 ship license. And every player gets one free small property license to get started. It is economically best to not go for a residence, as that has the lowest yield.
  9. Excellent mangrove! I really think your choice of colours hits the spot right on. The mangrove trees look great too, although I think they would benefit from more thickness down low. They almost seem to be floating. And I have a feeling the local medic will have his day cut out for him when they return to be checked for leeches and the like! A GoC from me!
  10. Any civilised settlement needs a proper brig for the uncivilised elements! Nice greebling on the dockside, although I think I would rather have seen that effort on the building itself. The soldiers may benefit from some epaulettes or a backpack, but chinstraps, shakos and those lovely muskets look great together!
  11. Dear sir, Excellent addition to the fleet. We will make sure the proper transfers are done, and hereby confirm young Mr. Palmer's lieutenant's commission and posting on the HMS Carolina. Rear-admiral Fletcher, Seawatch
  12. A gold mine has been opened in Quinnsville!
  13. 27th of February, 623 Outside Quinnsville Cocovia To the Mayor of Quinnsville Richard Brickford, Dear sir, It is with great pleasure that I can report the completion of the shaft mine and that the gold vein has been found rich. The miners are currently working on two levels where the ore is plentiful. The setup is ready to dig deeper, should it be necessary. I expect the first shipment of ore to be dispatched early next week. Best regards Chester Doyle Overseer, Quinnsville Gold Mine The Quinnsville gold mine by Christian West, on Flickr
  14. Where are those muskets from? A lovely little Stormhaven built, and very tightly packed with lots of ongoings for such a small footprint. The wall technique is great for Stormhaven, and it all feels very "close", as I imagine the mangroves of Stormhaven should. One thing to consider for future builds would be not to have everything quite so square. It can be hard to achieve in general, and in particular on such a small footprint, but I find it is often worth the effort. That's for consideration for the future, though - definitely a from me for GoH.
  15. I'd suggest you consider what sort of story you would like to tell. If the nobility, tradition, faith, military is where you see your stories, I'd suggest Oleon, but if it is the trade companies, merchants development, I would go ro Esl. Both factions would welcome you, i am sure
  16. Thank you I had forgotten that. Will add it with the relevant stipulations.
  17. Has he taken part in any battles yet? (which?) @Mesabi: Count Mesabi has been added.
  18. It would we have not yet correctly listed rear-admiral Fletcher here (As commodore per the rules - up to 9 ships):
  19. Haha, I had a genuine chuckle when I saw the comb!
  20. *Puts on almost no pressure to join*
  21. It is always free to place a moc. But if you want to active in the EGS (economic game system) it has a licensing cost. You have, as a new player, one free small property license and one free license for a class 1 or 2 vessel. Since this is probably a medium or large property by your description, the faction may be willing to buy it off you for licensing. As for the style, sounds to me like you may want to look at Jameston, for location.
  22. @Jack Sassy I should say that some of our members do very well with a limited collection. While some of the builds are huge and awesome, some of the best stories are told in small vignettes. So don't feel discouraged. Particularly Esl and OL would be happy to have some extra hands on board, even if activity is not at 200%
  23. I totally thought it was a newly posted hideout, when I saw the title!
  24. I certainly must have been hiding under a rock not to have seen this, Garm! And now I am downright blown away. If any nits where to be picked, it would be that you should have somewhat wider chain plates (to avoid the shrouds resting on the railings), and larger tops (to make the topmast shrouds less vertical, although I also suspect you may have fastened them rather wide at the topgallant cross trees too). But it would be sacrilege to pick nits here, so I shall refrain and instead say that this is just awesome! You may only post a ship every third leap year, but when you do! Oh boy!!!
