I am! Because of the reasons you stated in the parts conclusion, it's a MOCer's delight! I love to get more dark bley slopes and bricks to use for landscaping and other stuff. I find this set really unique and like the approach to the rocks. Then the new sand orange/medium nougat colour seems to be well represented in this set too and that's nice. One disappointing thing about the set would be the big saw piece, really not my cup of tea but I guess just one is acceptable. Thanks for another stunning review, Svelte! To bad there are so few sets in the PoP line, I would gladly read more of your reviews!

I prefer sand orange so I can think of beaches It helps me through this time of the year: PIC And yeah, you're right. Prince of Persia has a much better value than Star Wars if you're looking for useful parts and minifigs and that's why I'm going to dedicate my LEGO budget from now until June to the PoP sets

Thanks for doing a review of this set, Inconspicuous! This is a set I have no real connection to, I never saw it in any catalogue back when it came out and I didn't discover that it existed until I came out of my dark ages and started searching the internet for LEGO trivia. I think some of the Ninja sets were not released in Sweden and this was probably one of them. I like the shogun minifig very much, his torso looks very good with a nice amount of details. The red ninjas are maybe not so useful, red seems to be too bright. Maybe the head-wrap could be used as a niqāb. The boat has a nice colour scheme with black, tan and blue, but I don't like the design. I think it's too blocky and rectangular, it's doesn't really look like a boat to me. Compared to 7416 Empereror's Ship , another Asian style boat, it has a lot to improve (although to 3050's defence one can say that it's a different price range). I think the inclusion of the tiny dock is a nice thing, it adds playability to the set and consists of useful pieces. A solid 3 for this set that I would buy if it was for sale today.

Another great review from Svelte, yay! I believe this set will be the big seller in this theme, a not to big (read: expensive) set that even kids can buy with their saved money and a lot of play features. I think it also gives us parts buyers a good deal with all those sweet new sand orange/medium nougat (really, what's up with BL's name, medium dark flesh? It's self-contradictory!) arches and the tan bricks. Figs and accessories are great and I love the camel too, I like that Asoka got a printed torso too even if it's covered by his armour. 4 out of 5 is my vote, I wish licensed sets weren't so overpriced here

Thanks for the great review, Svelte! Nice job as always! The set is good, I like the minifigs and the colours. The dark tan bush is probably the part I want the most in this set Not really interested in the accessories like the claws and spikey pauldron, I understand that they need to be in because of their appearance in the movie, but I find them really ugly The headgears on the other side is just awesome  If I had to pay 10.99 USD for it I wouldn't complain about the price-per-part ratio but now I'm stuck with prices nearly the double and that's not good IMO. It doesn't matter how many good pieces a set contains - it has to be worth it's price. I can't give this set more than a 3 or 4 because of this, which is still good and I will get one or two of it, but the price is often the most important factor for me when buying LEGO.

Thanks dabulls03 for reviewing this set! This is probably the set I'm the least interested in of the PoP line, but it's still a must buy because of the horse and the dark tan bush. The figures are also nice, I like that the torsos are fairly generic and can be used for other types of figs too, like soldiers or civilians. I also love the new turban, it looks really nice The return of the old skeleton is also good, I'm not to fond of the one with droid arms. To bad the set doesn't include any pieces with the new colour, I think they should use it more since they have spend so much money in making a new colour. I give the set a 3 out of 5, a good and nice set that has it's pros and cons but I like it. The price is the main reason for not giving it a 4, here in Sweden these battle pack-sized sets costs over $20 and that is really bad for only 57 pieces. I'll probably end up with 1 or 2 anyway but I might also use BrickLink to save money.

Good, payment when you get them sounds fine to me

Sorry, I have 3 7594s now and I think that's enough (for the moment ).

Well, Western sure is a fun theme and I really enjoyed building a few MOCs to join the hype about a month ago. Somehow Western was the most interesting theme in February but I don't we can't expect such big interest to remain. The interest in Western is now back on the level it had before the hype and it will probably stay that way until next time we have a bunch of awesome MOC's that evokes a new hype. I think it's all about MOCs actually - Kris Kelvin's great Pif Paf City and ISC's Tombclone started it all this time and I'm sure that if someone would post something like that the interest would come back. If you want the discussion to keep going I suggest you build a MOC, review a set or start an interesting discussion (not one where you wonder about why nobody is discussion it ).

You sure can! Do you want them sent to you or will you pick them up when we meet at the Event? Wow, it sure went fast to get rid of those minifigs.

Pm sent!

Hi! I recently bought two copies of Woody's Roundup, but I only bought them for parts (it's a great parts pack!) so I'm now looking to sell off the minifigs from it: This are the prices I'm asking for (all are about a dollar cheaper than the cheapest on BrickLink): Stinky Pete $6 Jessie $6 Bullseye $6 Woody $3 All four $20 I got 2 copies of every minifig to sell. Just one of each now. Sorry, all are taken. Shipping is $2 to everywhere in the world no matter how many you buy. Payment via PayPal. Please PM me or write in this topic if you're interested. Thanks

I think that is what AFOLs call Flesh actually (the one that some of the villains in the latest Indiana Jones sets have as skin colour). I believe 312 is the new colour in TLG's colour chart.

What should we call the new colour that is available in the new Prince of Persia sets? We have an official name from TLG, Medium Nougat, but is this the best we can get? Personally I think it's a problematic name, we AFOLs got our own colour code that differs very much from TLG's official one (for example, TLG's Dark Green is our regular Green and out Tan is called Brick Yellow by TLG). TLG got a whole bunch of colours in the Nougat "family", including AFOL-named colours like flesh and light flesh. Is it easier for us to call the new colour for just Nougat since there are no other Nougat colours in the AFOL vocabulary, or will this just complicate communication with TLG? Dark Nougat have been used lately to describe the colour but that is probably because of some misunderstanding because that colour is a whole different colour in TLG's colour chart. Have this name already become standard or should we try to stop using that name for the colour? If we are going to make up our own name that fits with the AFOL colour chart I think Sand Orange would be a suitable one. We have from before a number of "sand" versions of colours, but not of orange and this one seems to fit there IMO. When we first saw the pictures of the PoP sets many of us thought the new colour was just regular Dark Orange but as some others thought it turned out to be a more "sandy" version of that colour. Of course, there is the possibility to use the slightly mean name, Svelte-was-wrong-colour, to be able to mock our dear Licensed Moderator every time we mention the colour because of that mistake, but that might be a bit to evil. After all Svelte wasn't alone with being wrong and it's such a long name for a colour. So, what do you think? Do you have any suggestions of your own? Please write and explain why it would be a good name of the new colour.

I've just got back from a great shopping ToysRUs opened a store in my town this week and today they had 50% off on all LEGO. We were 6 AFOLs from SweBrick.se that was there, somebody were there VERY early to be the first to get into the store (*cough*CopMike*cough* ). Once inside we went crazy Well, I have to admit that my purchase looked very small compared to some others (*cough again*CopMike*cough* )but I'm happy anyway (gotta save money for the PoP sets and the EB Event trip). I ended up with 2x 7594 Woody's Roundup, 6754 Family Home, 5891 Apple Tree House and a XL grey baseplate. Now I have a wonderfulday of building before me

Thanks for a wonderful review, Clone O'Patra! I'm really, really yearning to get this set, I've been drooling over the pictures for months now All the great minifigs (Nizam's back printing was a wonderful surprise for me), great number of useful pieces and lovely colours! Oh, and a camel, hurray! You Americans really got a great price for this with only $80! Definitely a 5 from me. Now I just have to wait for the PoP sets to start showing up over here. So much to buy...

Great work! Luke's legs looks very good together with the white torso from the IJ set. I need to get myself some of those legs The saracen helmet is also very clever.

What the heck does the Mayan calender got to do with global warming? Way to jump from the subject This statement is so full of errors that I almost decided to continue the off-topic talk just to correct it, almost. PM me if you want an explanation. It does, but a lot of the ice in the world is located on land as glaciers, like the whole Antarctica and Greenland. But the rising of water levels is just one of several theories about what effects global warming has on the planet. It's not as simple as media describes it and we shouldn't look at just parts of it but the entirety.

OK, now I have finished reading and watched all the fantastic entries you guys have managed to produce. It must have been a very challenging competition with so many different categories and new ways to think and build, but it looks like you had a lot of fun and learned much from it. My favourite entries are Museum at Night, The Road, Snakes! Why did it have to be Snakes?, An unexpected visitor and Karlsruher Schloss. Really outstanding work on those! Congratulations on a well earned third place!

Well, this might be an unnecessary post since all who are concerned probably already know about it. But anyway, it might be someone who has missed it. Toys R Us opened a new store in Uppsala, Sweden, today and on Saturday they will have 50% off all LEGO. It's only for one day. Any Swedish LEGO fan that wants to know more about that can read about it at SweBrick here: LINK We are about 7 AFOLs from SweBrick that will meet and raid the store in the morning Any non-swedish LEGO fan that unlikely happens to be in Uppsala for the weekend can PM for more details.

What a flat and high wall! It looks wonderful! I really like the use of white 1x1 plates on the cliff, maybe it's not intentional but it look like snowflakes in the air. I agree that the lights in the windows makes it look like a very cosy place. I must however ask what the yellow and gold 1x1 round on white flowers are supposed to be, I can't make that out. Anyway, great work!

I think the camels can be just as useful, if not more, as the ostriches . Show riding and running is two of your examples that camels certainly are raised for, don't know why you said they aren't. Camel racing has a huge interest in many countries and I'm sure someone could make a MOC of that. More over I'm really looking forward to build a nice caravan (might be expensive to stock up on the camels though) and they could of course be used in a zoo, a circus or as a tourist attraction in a resort MOC. Since camels were (and partly still are) such a great part of the Middle East and North African culture and nature I think that the release of them in LEGO will open up many new possibilities to make more realistic MOCs from those areas.

We´re both good looking, strong, smart & rich ? Then how come I haven't got any? Thanks for the fun review! How stupid of the crash dummy to go on the roads when CopMike was on patrol, that can only end bad

Since this set was such a great source of red roof slopes I would have preferred a different colour for the roofs. But I guess red isn't a bad roof colour representing roofing-tiles of burnt clay, although dark red would have been better. As for the main subject of the topic, I'm not tired of Castle but I find it hard to build up the same excitement for Kingdoms as I had when the Fantasy Era came out. FE was the breakthrough for the return of the classic style IMO. At last we got back a castle without a raised baseplate, we got a good generic looking human faction, the accessories were great and in lovely colours and the buildings wasn't just big moulded pieces but often cleverly build with lots of useful bricks and plates. I see Kingdoms more as a continuation of the FE than as a new theme, the architecture of the buildings and the fashion of the minifigs are very similar to the Crown knights IMO. And I like that, no question about that! It's just not that big change as when we went from KK2 to FE I think that as long the Castle line is giving me parts in good colours and interesting minifigs I will not care if the set designs are repetitive or boring, it's not a big factor for me.

Looks like a whole pelican eel to me (maybe a little mutated though ).
