  1. I vote for Sandy: Nice combination of minifig parts from different themes that makes a great Persian dancer.
  2. Thanks for the information. I don't trust Brickipedia much but Brickset is usually a reliable source and the info looks very real. I think the set will look great like all of the other exclusives, the LEGO Design team isn't going to disappoint us I think. But I doubt I will get the set myself, my LEGO budget doesn't allow it . Can't wait to see some pictures though.
  3. Well, I agree with Big Cam, you need to retake those pictures. They are way to blurry to fill any function, we can look at much better pictures at S@H. But it's nice to know that we get the double-sided head in a cheap set. EDIT: Get more lights and keep the camera still.
  4. Well, the Betsy Ross flag would be inaccurate to use since it didn't came to use until next year. That's just one of some faults in the painting The Grand Union flag would be a better choice unless you want to stick with the painting as reference. A great MOC I must say, I like the river with the ice floes and the landscaping on the river bank is very nice.
  5. No, it's still just Austria, Germany and Switzerland. It was discussed a lot just one page back.
  6. Probably at the end of the month or in early June.
  7. Denmark usually gets the new sets around the same time as the other Scandinavian countries, and that we get new sets early is very rare (this winters SW sets an exception).
  8. I didn't know my ducks was practising cell division.
  9. The attender to the EB Event in Billund last week was supposed to bring a small MOC (vignette min 8x8, max 10x10) that would be used in a contest. The MOC should show your country in some way and the contest was to name which country which MOC represented and who had built it. There was also a voting for the best MOC. This is what I built, the City Hall of Stockholm, a quite famous landmark in the city but maybe it was a little hard for the non-scandinavians to guess. Anyhow, I thought I should share my attempt on micro-scale building with the rest of the forum, I don't usually build in this scale but it was very fun. Here is a link to a reference picture. The epaulette is supposed to reassemble the three crowns on top of the building, the national emblem of Sweden. Thanks for watching!
  10. Better get my avatar up then: The already infamous Etzel-duck has transformed into a camel with some mysterious looking dude on it's hump.
  11. Wow, it's huge! No wonder it took a while to finish. I really like the use of both old and new brown, it gives the tower a very nice realistic look. I also like the choice of sand green slopes for the roof, I've always liked that colour and it fits perfectly with the brown. The minifigs are great too with lots of funny details. Awesome work, hippotam!
  12. I agree, the Kingdom sets do look very basic. I think the Fantasy Era sets looked more detailed and complexed. But if that's a good or bad thing is a different matter. Basic designs often mean good amounts of basic bricks and plates which are great for MOCing. All those gold triple slopes in the FA sets maybe made the sets look nice but aren't the best parts to use in your own creations. I hope Sandy is right about a possible AFOL Kingdoms set, that would be aaawesome
  13. Thanks for the pictures, CopMike! I wish I could have brought the big duck with me home
  14. Yeah, I see the difference, although I believe the price difference is more because of the extra minifig and the horse than the bigger size of the set. But I wouldn't say that piece count isn't an important factor when it comes to LEGO sets, at least not for me. I value a set with lots of small parts much more than a set with fewer but larger pieces, especially when it's pieces like wheels, horse hitches, technic stuff etc. A set with larger parts is usually more expensive to make but that doesn't mean it's better part-wise from a set with smaller parts.
  15. Yeah, those silly knights stand no chance against the mighty Carolean Duck cavalry ! I like this set, the minifigs are good and most of the parts are in nice colours and useful. Though it seems a little wierd that this set has fewer pieces than 7950 Knight's Showdown but costs more .
  16. It was a great event, thanks everybody! Now I have to somehow adjust to a world without LEGO 24 hours a day, I think I might be severely addicted to those ABS-bricks now. A clear sign of that should be that I woke up one night of the event and thought Freddie's snoring was the rattling of LEGO bricks Thanks to Front for the amazing pictures, I didn't remember to take many myself because of all the fun that was going on . Edit: Seems to be some fluger thing with my name now too
  17. Birthday, Happy Iz! I believe we will meet later today, I'll bring a present
  18. Nice job, Francis LeBaron! I think you captured the battlefield quite well with people running in every direction and good expressions of the minifigs. However, I think you need to find a way to make your MOC stand out a little more, it's not much more than a baseplate with plants and minifigs now. I don't know much about this battle but I read on the wiki site that it took place on a moor, maybe you should add some brown and dark tan plates to the ground to make it more authentic? That's a really funny fact! I think you should use it to make your MOC more unique by giving the Jacobites yellow legs. After all, it's just LEGO, no one will get offended by that.
  19. Welcome back to LEGO, Fatyankee! Eurobricks are an international LEGO community that is open for LEGO fans all over the world, not just Europe. Everyone is allowed to enter the competition and the prizes will be sent to anywhere in the world. Good luck in the contest, I look forward to your entry.
  20. Ah, well I'm a purist but some of your ideas are really good. What would you recommend for torsos? That's where I'm most stuck
  21. Not much time left before the event now! Does any of you guys have one of this hairpiece for trade or sell? The tan hair that CW Palpatine has. I could buy it from BL but if one of you got a spare one this would be easier Any flesh (note: not light flesh) heads is also interesting (link).
  22. What parts would you have used for the Incas if you was able to buy them? I was thinking about making a small Inca MOC some time ago but I couldn't find any good minifig parts for them.
  23. Many good to choose from. But the arch is my favourite It's something we've really needed for a long time. Now I hope TLG can make a Gothic arch too
  24. Make our own turbans with spare tires or police hats and rubber bands: Hoods can be a good headgear too and maybe ninja head wraps as niqabs.
  25. Really cool MOC, TheBrickster! You definitely manage to give the impression of a dark, mysterious water with the trailing seaweeds and the dark colours. It looks nice with the rubber boat with the diver on top, not yet aware of what danger dwells beneath it... Great work!
