Those are really nice! Instantly recognizable with their special colours and the plume fits good. I wish TLG would release the morion helmet in a metallic grey colour, it would look very nice.

Nice! Now I'm even more excited to get my hands on the sets (I didn't think that was possible, I really, really hope they're available in LEGOLAND Billund next week). I have had an idea for a oriental MOC for some time now, I hope I will find time between writing my paper and building my entry for the Bayonets of Dawn contest, to transform my thoughts and ideas to a real MOC. Oh, and nice new style on the forum.

Thank you everyone! I'm happy you liked it As mush as I would like to do a larger MOC with a complete house and garden I don't think that's possible in the nearest time. I got so many other ideas of MOCs that have been waiting to be built for so long. But I will put this on my list of future projects. I often build these kind of vignettes when I'm bored with the bigger projects and want to test new things. Vigs are good because they don't use a lot of pieces that I otherwise need for the big MOC (and if they do it's easy to take them apart).

It's something new I built today

I played around with some bricks I had lying on my desk and came across my collection of dark green slopes (just a handful ) and started to build a bush, inspired by those in 5891 Apple Tree House. Then I saw the male minifig standing in my shelf (I had built it earlier) and thought I should try to make a scene for the him and the bush. This is what came out: Now I feel the urge to buy more dark green, it's such a nice colour! /Etzel

There weren't, Vasa sunk in 1628 and the Carolean army were established in the 1680's. And since Vasa just sunk because of a breeze I don't believe that counts as a battle ! It's funny though, that the historical events that we swedes know about almost only is the defeats and failures. Ask any regular swede to name a historical event and it's most likely the Battle of Lützen 1632 (when our king Gustavus Adolphus was killed), Battle of Poltava 1709 (when the Carolean army was defeated), the Treaty of Fredrikshamn 1809 (when we lost Finland to Russia) or some other major fiasco. We sure love self-pitying!

This sounds like a very good reason for me to get myself started on that Poltava MOC I've been planning to build for over a year Or maybe I'll make some other battle, I'm not sure. But one thing is sure, it will contain Swedish Caroleans

Thanks for the pic of the wizard, Nicholai! I like the face and printed legs, both are very good. It's fun to see how TLG makes updated versions of the old 90's minifigs and factions. But I must admit that I'm not a big fan of Majisto because of the blue colour, I would have preferred something more discreet like brown or grey (but I guess the kids like bright colours better).

Really? I just think it's hilarious! But maybe that's because I live in the land of sins and have no kids

And the old one didn't? Wierd In that case I don't see how this new version should improve the construction options very much. Some new options will be available but some will disappear.

Looks good! I like the new head, variations in facial expression is always nice. The torso is also nice, I prefer it over the old one. 7195 Ambush in Cairo

That was a rumor, I think the back of a catalog looked videogame-ish. Or are you talking about 3849 Orient Bazar? Not really a PoP set but part of the LEGO Games theme, but it uses some of the new pieces. Don't know when it's being released though.

That's a wonderful MOC, Svelte! The mosaics are really great, I need to get myself some more headlight bricks to try some of my own(that's a technique that won't be able to do with the new version of that brick ). I really like the balconies too, the dark and regular tan works perfect together (which you already knew from your Department Store of course ) and the pearl gold railings and decorations are very nice. This MOC really builds up my craving for the PoP sets, I really hope the come out soon here, but I think you made me want a Grand Emporium now too
