Technic 2022 Set Discussion
1gor replied to Technicallism's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
IP tractor; I'm all ears.... -
Another possible Tatra
1gor replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I make most MOCs with live axles (tractors, trucks ...) but SynTrac is really unique with Tatra suspension, so I'll finish it when time allows... -
Another possible Tatra

I had similar problem, but I abandoned Ackerman steering...thin liftarms are here waiting for implementation to make stiffer axle, but today was a manic Monday and there is a 9 week old kitten that needs whole day care (playing an cuddling), so no Lego for next few months... I really like use of new tires. Perhaps 5L steering arms could help you. -

[MOC] Ferrari F40 Supercar
1gor replied to sebulba56's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It is a very good representation, but as far as I remember F40 has 5 forward and one reverse gear in transmission.... https://www.motortrend.com/vehicle-genres/ferrari-f40-history-specs-legend/ -

On 6 x 6 Tatra that you chose, I assume that axle nr. 1 & 2 are steerable and only axle nr. 3 is not steerable, or? -

[MOC] Rope shovel excavator
1gor replied to Ivan_M's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It looks stunning. Very very good work -
As (I might describe myself as) big Unimog fan, I must admit that those buggy tires (from set 42124 and 42126) look better than I expected. Shape is simple in most positive way, but no portal achses (and 1250 has torque tubes)...

To Paint Technic Or Not?
1gor replied to thekoRngear's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Simply NO; painted pair of futuristic wheels in yellow and LEGO introduced few years later yellow wheels racing medium, so paint onced; regret many times -
Great MOC as usual from you Simon. I really like suspension on your truck

That is why I use them once and have few damaged for 'testing' purposes... -

1gor replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That is much better I'm waiting for 30 dark bluish gray liftarms 1 x 5 thin with axle hole at both ends to make smaller and stiffer axles for my SynTrac -
My 42095 has V1 and each L-motor has it's own chanel; so no 2 L-motors used on single chanel like on 9398 set... Hm...we bumped on 2 years old topic...if you use bricklink you can always see via set inventory which receiver is (most likely) used

42131 - CAT D11 Bulldozer
1gor replied to Maaboo the Witch's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'll try to reinvent the wheel; it's possible that new tracks are more expensive than ordinary like on Liebherr, 2 extra XL sprockets, yellow 5 x 7 frames... and of course it doesn't mean that every licensing contract is under same conditions; of course it doesn't justify the price and it could be just LEGO trying to gain more profit... I'll be direct - who wants to buy it; let him/her buy it, who doesn't (like me) could wait for desired pieces to be available other way (Bricks & Pieces, bricklink...) If I remember correctly the same thing was about Liebherr and number of people waited for big discount and bought it, so as @suffocation indicate something like black Friday or happy Friday could enable you to get it at affordable price and then you'll forget all about this bla bla BLA BLA BLA...
