  1. I understand. I would probably try also first with 4 x 4 crane; something like upcoming 42082 set
  2. based on limited parts number and variety, it's good job because you made something completely different that fire-department jeep
  3. Agree with you at least to some point, but I have learned that I have to wait and see final result. Good orientation is to see which parts are already available in which color and calculate / speculate based on that information...
  4. Eric, did you consider a possibility to make all wheel drive crane model?
  5. It looks good , but somehow some darker color that white would make better contrast to chrome parts
  6. It is huge but it looks really good. Now imagine how much better 42080 set will look with (smaller) tractor tires. Lets wait and see how set 42080 looks in reality, so we do not jump the conclusions based on "color vomit"; perhaps colors would actually look good on finished model...
  7. But it is great for learning purposes Welcome to Eurobricks
  8. My favorite off-roader, it looks great in black, those rims are perfect for this model, just to use this part in black and beige interior or brown would be nicer IMHO. Very nice model
  9. Kyle, perhaps you can fit one 68.7 tire in 81,6 tire to make it a bit bigger or even use 94,8 tire...proportions on classic tractors are something like on my brickshelf folder (which could help you in some way...) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=365315
  10. Looks interesting so far, but I'm afraid that softer springs are not good for this setup, at least try using harder (yellow) at the front, at least I had that kind of problem on my MOCs...
  11. you're welcome. there is no need for resizing or recalculations...and Tumbler tires are perfect for 6 x 6 C500, but I don't know which attachment will be best for it...
  12. Here is a short technical specifications sheet about Atos...there are 3 models (220-230-240) with 3 cylinder engine and have 540/65R30 at rear (1487mm diameter) and 360/70R24 at front (1074mm diameter), so if you use 1:18 measurement to fit it 81,6 x 38 tire, ideal will be some 60mm front tire... http://www.claas.co.uk/blueprint/servlet/blob/543742/8a475ddf88af5a253c27cca264632138/241563-dataRaw.pdf
  13. There are usually 2 tires used on Kenworth C500 -11R24,5 like on model that you chose for inspiration, or 42R21 like on this http://www.motorstown.com/47455-kenworth-c500.html#gal_47455_kenworth-c500-08.jpg
  14. It is a nice change to see a tractor moc, but you need red rims (at least there are dark red) and front wheels are to big. In order to mantain correct tire proportions, you should use 56 tires at front. Other things are good
  15. 62.4 Tires are great choice to work with. As my good friend @jorgeopesi said once building small scales teach much more and you need less pieces...
  16. That is what I meant Thanks for clearing it for me
  17. Yes but smaller...we have to consider that 56 x 26 Baloons are used in other themes as well, so LEGO is playing on economics card (again)
  18. Picture speaks for itself (It looks very sturdy)
  19. Yes, they re expensive
  20. It looks nice, but just one question - isn't it a bit to wide?
