  1. also you can make bigger gears with older turntables like this
  2. I think I'll try with those, but need 8 for one tire and here in Croatia are available 12. I'll think of something. thank you very much
  3. Idea is very good and C-model seems very smooth
  4. It is blurred image of 1:18 model in Photoshop, not LEGO box or something related with LEGO
  5. ok, even this info that you shared with us is nice from you
  6. Thanks @Erik Leppen for paying attention and for your honest intentions. What I want to do is to make CLAAS tire wider. I have managed to make it 10mm bigger in diameter (now is some 117mm in comparison to original 107mm) by putting two fabuland ferris wheels inside, but it is to narrow and treads are not placed properly. If you want I'll upload image of current status and send you a pm. The main reason is lack of LEGO tractor tires with other dimensions...and to make (at least some) tractors that could fit the same scale for my mocs I need some other tractor tires so I'm trying to find some solutions. So far the biggest diameter that I have achieved is some 111mm by maintaing the same shape as original on affordable 56mm wheel The idea was to make something like I have allready made with powerpuller tire, but this time with CLAAS tire http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=535390
  7. I have to ask for one big favor - is there a part like this https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=24121&idColor=3#T=C&C=3 bit 7 x 7 curved and it does not have to be gear rack... or 7 x 14 curved brick ore something... thanks
  8. Arocs looks really good with that tires BTW did anyone find 120mm tractor tire with self cleaning treads like CLAAS tires?
  9. I know it is not cheap, and that is why I have made decision eventually to buy 3rd party tires. I like your chassis solution, it looks sturdy
  10. I really like your solution to rear mudguards. I'm steal waiting for black arches to arrive for my moc
  11. That is nice to hear
  12. I could not agree more, but lets give new sets a chance
  13. I think with this tires your model will be better, despite they are not LEGO. sometimes I also think about 3rd party tires...good luck
  14. I'm afraid that Ferrari 250GTO, Lamborghini Miura or Mercedes Benz 300SL have to rounded shape to be accurate made with LEGO panels...so I do not think they will be ever as official sets, but never say never...
  15. Thanks and it is nice to here that some of my ideas are useful. Like the front mudguards on your Bear (Ursus), but do not like real tractor because those kind f tractors are always blocking my way when I'm going to work, so I build modern tractors Currently CLAAS tire is some 116-117 mm in diameter but I'm still looking for the way to make proper shape - to stuff it with smaller tires
  16. Engine + transmission
  17. @eric trax, can you share us info about CLAAS tire overall diameter on PP wheel? thanks the best I have done is to make it 116mm (over 107mm original) in diameter, but have to find out how to make proper tire shape. Idea was the same like with PP tire a while ago...description can be seen here http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/iipsa/Industry/Tires/Agriculture-Tires/Group-48-Tire/710-70R42/description.txt
  18. @Aleh that is simple and clean design
  19. I could "reinforce a part around gear with 8 tooth by making axle a bit bigger and make distance between frames 3 studs instead one stud, so, gear 8 tooth will be "inside" frame 5 x 7. It is not meant (in my case) to be used for heavy load, but for manual hook loader truck 6 x 2 or for container truck 6 x 2. I got the idea yesterday when arranging dark bluish gray parts and noticed that I have lots of "old" differentials... thanks @Jurss for any kind of info based on your experience
  20. It looks better when made with real LEGO parts. Question is how sturdy is it only brick build (or did you hide liftarms behind seats)?
  21. here is a idea for rear truck axle with 18 studs overall width if you want to use old differential
