From my experience use black on axles, and light bluish gray on middle of the frame where usually sits transmission and at the front where is engine To use all black is nice, but sometimes it is to much black. -

completely true except one small thing, blue 20T clutch gear is double bevel type, so it can be used to transmit rotation in 90 degrees like ordinary double bevel gear- 5,505 replies

Here is a idea for topics about tires, because we lack tires between 62,4 and 94,3 with proper truck pattern (71mm tire that looks good without deformation but on expensive 32004a / 32003 combo) your 117mm solution can be wonderfully used on futuristic vehicles, no matter from Avatar movie or from industrial design concept challenge...after all LEGO Technic is also going futuristic with Volvo autonomous loader- 625 replies

@Milan i have red your solutions, specially usage of 62.4 tire inside 94.8 tire to prevent slip. And your solutions are always more economical than others, like we have lived in same country before (the one that bankrupted every ten years...) You can merge topics and thanks for compliments Milan Actually I will try to insert another two ferris wheels inside to make it wide enough, or to put something inside those two to make bigger gap between them. thank you- 625 replies

that was my previous account thanks for your intention. Just one off-topic - if I stick to ordinary tires (107 x 44) then I'll have to make 4000 series with 4 wheel steering, but had to use Unimog 3 studs longer chassis (which will end up with proper - narrow width for scale 1:15)- 625 replies

Ladies and gentleman dear eurobricks users, after suggestion by @Erik Leppen in his post and several month of parallel work on few projects I have stuck on rear tires, so perhaps someone from you could help me. My goal was to make 117mm big rear tractor tire from CLAAS tire, but tire is to narrow, so I'm asking if someone could help me what to do... Current state and a way of achievement this rear tire is like this (images say more that words) @Jim and @Milan if you find this topic inappropriate, you can block it. I know that there was a topic how to make 94.8 tire taller (an thinner), but I do not know if it would be better to have topics for something like tire ideas etc... Any kind of help or suggestion is welcome- 625 replies

Hm; is it possible that blue double bevel 20T clutch gear is actually reverse? -

That would be interesting to see on @Jim's review I know that there will be excellent photos showing the whole solution -

Bottom line is that you can not satisfy everyone, and there will always be needed something what we can call 'acceptable compromise'. 42009 is great example of good color combination -

Well we could look like this, just forgot about 8283 set, despite it is nice small telehandler...but I do not mind color vomit if there will be useful new parts like new tractor / forestry tires or similar -

Look at this from economic point, there is limitation on number of different parts through year and colors, TLC does not make just Technic line and the same principle is presented in every LEGO production line because everything is connected. If anyone does not like this or that color combo, he or she can always buy some extra parts in "desired" color and make their "wish" model. When doing so you can improve economic situation of whole LEGO Group (they will sell more sets / parts) -

1gor replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Specially when driving Chiron over rough surfaces like desk in living room or over polish parquet It could look like this, but somehow I think that curved surface will "follow" rim line...or other words curved part will be turned 90 degrees to outside of the wheel in comparison to your solution, but it is good step forward in "brainstorming" for next ten days... -

There is something dealing with brakes; in 1920s drivers were complaining that brakes on Bugatti cars are much worse than on competition, so Ettore Bugatti answered them that he is making cars to drive and not to stop...so irronicaly you are probably right - there will be no functional brakes -

In the meanwhile I have solved problem with too soft tire 68.8 x 24. When I have put one tire 62.4 inside and both on wheel 32004 result looks like this As you can see ow it has some 71mm overall diameter which multiplied by 15 gives 1066mm (real 385/65R22.5 tire). Mentioned tire is very often used on Unimogs, and other trucks like Arocs, M.A,N TGS...but on "classic" trucks (not special like Unimog) more and more are used smaller tires like full rubber tire 315/60R22.5, but that is another story, now I'm stil waiting for some parts to arrive... Hope this idea could be usable for someone as I continue on building second chassis with 2 studs bigger wheelbase to include proper central differential.- 625 replies
