  1. Wow I never thought LEGO helicopter could end up so good, shape with panels is just perfect
  2. And I can not afford my self smaller rechargeable battery box so everything has it's advantages and disadvantages... For classic Technic battery box is not enough space...remember when I mentioned 1:15 scale; that is one of reason - size of battery box
  3. So far as I can see your commands look very promising. About weight distribution I have one rather stupid question - is it rear to heavy when you put rechargeable batteries in battery box? (Where I live rechargeable are significantly heavier than non-rechargeable)
  4. That was my idea, but for even bigger scale - for 1:6.5 scale; I have 3 cylinder LPE for that purpose...
  5. Unfortunately no, thus part did not work out as planned so TLC decided to make new ones 1L introduced in 42060 and 42061 (and other...) sets in 2017 Perhaps you can use classis 2L long with axle 8 with stop on tail rudder and change axle connector 2l with one red 3l
  6. And where is Baloo? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/TaleSpin
  7. This beast based on photo technique should be called black and white hunter It looks mean
  8. @nerdsforprez your idea is actually better because with to much force pieces can be damaged and become useless
  9. That is very clever but also simple design. I have been struggling with similar linkage idea but for transverse mounted gearbox (and engine)...so far no satisfying solution ?
  10. You like massive trucks, don't you ...just joking; it looks very good with all those details
  11. Erik, you are right as usual; I have forgotten that I have old dark gray, blue and black those arms, but I'm not using them for some 10 years ...
  12. Your Unimog and trophy truck look really cool, but I also like white Zetros. Now I can envy you on new Porsche (as parts pack)
  13. Perhaps it could be solved with half a stud narrower axle at every side, but in that case there will be axle without newer 3 pin hubs...
  14. Last one is symmetrical, but you will have to test it to see if this construction is sturdy enough. This plate has axle hole in center so it is usable. Regards
  15. Your solution could be symmetrical if you use technic cam piece, but it is 2 studs deep which often cased me a problem of to wide vehicles... This is part that I was referring. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=6575#T=C BTW my wife uses fingers for appropriate spices doses, so there is not enough precise kitchen scale... I must admit your project is more and more interesting
  16. You can always calculate total weight for some 'subsystem' simply by using weight of several pieces in your construction. On BrickLink page for every part there is item info containing years of release, weight and size... Wen you got some satisfying solution just calculate weight and you will see what is doable
  17. Main rotor looks like from 9396 set (which is most beautiful helicopter ever made by TLC ). Shape replication is very good IMHO
  18. It is very nice little set and if only TLC have put black connector instead of this white it would be perfect parts pack. Very nice review @Jim
  19. After relaxing Christmas with my wife, pets and hobby, it is time to present final solution for my Fastrac 4000 series version. What I'm writing about is that after several (do not know exact number) attempts using well known method trial and error, I have made proper front chassis part which is sturdy, has two mayor of features - motorized front pto and 3 point hitch (only third mounting point is not visible ), big steering angle that would allow tight turns (it will be 4ws version), fake 6 cylinder engine...and it fits perfectly 1:15 scale...but let's not to write to much, here are few images... Universal joints madness for front hitch Part where battery box will be (and view from below) Front pto... Mounted tire Max turning angle - view from above... Other images with previous versions etc... https://bricksafe.com/pages/igor.ipsa/agriculture/tractors/jcb_fastrac_4220#
  20. Shape looks very good IMHO
  21. The only helpful advice I can gave based on scale of technic models is "reference" based on size if seat (and tires in this combination). They are varies scale; example Arocs is (based on chassis width) 1:16.5, Xerion and Mack are 1:20 scale (based on tire size), Unimog U 400 is 1:12.5 based on tire size... It is actually complicated subject ?
  22. Merry Christmas to everyone (thanks Paul for starting separate topic), and I wish everyone health at first place, the rest (including LEGO will follow). Introduction of xl sprockets is Worthy Christmas present.
  23. It was in General parts discussion topic and user was @Richard Dower who has some collection of technic parts in rare color (and Christmas spiders)...
