Yep, I reckon I was driving a 12-Wheel Drive Truck! Oh, and we've got a bunch of sinkholes around here. I was lucky that I hadn't driven into one of them
  2. Excellant facade! It looks very realistic and I especially enjoy the different angles you've got on the floor plan.

Yes! In the picture I'd hit a mud filled hole and every attempt I took to get the Truck out just took me lower and lower. In the end another 4WD tried to tow me out and failed and eventually we had to use another 4WD chained to the first one to give me enough ooomph to pull free.

I'm reading this thread and there's some fantastic looking cars, but only a few that I could use on my roads. I live in very rural Missouri and with seven miles of dirt track to get to town and the probability of getting snowed in during the winter (and flooded out during the rest of the year) I drive a beat up '99 Chevy Silverado (4WD). 225,000 miles on the clock, 16 miles per gallon, no straight panels, two careless owners "Apple Maps said this was a road"
  5. Excellant! It looks so much better in real bricks. Have you thought about raising the base and using PF to motorize it?
  6. I started building the City Residential Pack 4 from http://www.brickcitydepot.com.
  7. Wooden sided rail cars? Is this what you mean? http://railbricks.com/instructions/banana-wagon/
  8. I like it and I like the way you've set it back from the street - it's a civic building and needs to have that space in front of it. My only suggestion would be to try and find a way to show the foot of the Dark Green window frame on the front facade - it doesn't look quite right with them being covered up by the Tan 1x's. Are those cell bars on the rear of the building? When you do the interior I hope you're going to build a holding cell for the prisoners!
  9. I believe that describes everyone on this Forum! Welcome to Eurobricks! If you're looking for inspiration for a Hotel then check out the MOCs in the Town Forum - there's some amazing creations in there.
  10. Ha ha ha! I just noticed the Lego Plastic Bag powered Balloon - that's perfect! As for the City Gate - it looks great and it could belong in any modern European City.
  11. It looks like a very imposing structure. I really like the stained glass, the footers to the columns and the facade. And it MOVES! I'm tempted to introduce mechanicals to my MOCs, but there's no way they'd look half as impressive as the creations in the Da Vinci Punk. Thank you for sharing it with us!
  12. That's what ALL the Carnie-folk say.... I like this a lot and I can see why it was such a crowd pleaser - there's something for everyone.
  13. I think of all the Da Vinci Punk builds that this is my favorite. It's not colossal, it's not monumental, but it has a human (minifig?) scale to it. I love the facade - it's really well detailed. And the roof (have you got a Palace Theatre missing a few pieces). Oh, and the color palate you chose was perfect. Great job!
  14. What an imposing structure. It looks perfect for an ornate Monorail Station and I think you've totally captured the Da Vinci Punk vibe.
  15. That is a beautiful looking carriage. I imagine that a series of those would look stunning.
  16. For me it was LEGO Alien Conquest Set #7051 Tripod Invader I was wandering down the aisles of the local Wallyworld and something about it screamed "BUY ME! BUY ME NOW!" Up until that point I had thought of Lego for probably 10 years. The purchase of that single set jolted me out the Dark Ages.
  17. What a fun build! I particularly like the eyesight. You should CUUSOO it
  18. Excellant stuff! I particularly like the yellow/black Charleston.
  19. Addify me please....to the one-horse town of Nevada, Missouri USA. (60 miles north of Joplin, Mo.) But can I have an English flag please (as an expat)?
  20. First three Modulars; Corner Cafe, Market Square, Green Grocer. Sadly too expensive for me to BL now.....
  21. It looks great LT. Have you considered relocating the Bike Shop to the left of the Multi-story? It's got a very similar architectural design.
  22. Let me see.... a) It's an opportunity to work with Lego b) It's an opportunity to work at Lego Sounds perfect! The trouble is c) I'm completely devoid of the right skills
  23. Still sorting through 22 lbs of second hand Lego and putting the bricks into their respective storage boxes (large plates, small plates, 1 x tiles bigger than 4 long, etc. I can just about see the bottom of the container so I must be getting close to the end, but there's a bunch of fake-Lego that I'm having to sift out....
  24. Hey Moderator, Do you think the title of this thread needs changing to 'Experience with buying Lego online from Tesco'? After all I think they stepped up and resolved the problem admirably.
  25. It looks good. Are you going to make it out of Bricks? Thanks for sharing it with us!
