Really good job! I can't wait to see it in real bricks.

Homelessness is the least of their worries - have you seen the size of the spider that built that web? Another good Moc Monsinjor!
-
Looks good! Are you going to brick it in real life?

Good review Legodt! It's an impressive building, I like your Mods and looks fantastic next to your Apple Store.

It's a good fun build!

Social commentary AND Lego. Your creation looks like it could be from my town (my Lego one and my real one) I like this and look forward to seeing more...

I could spend a couple of days looking at these on Flickr and I'd still be discovering some amazing detail work! Congratulations to you and your LUG - this is a fantastic accomplishment. Well done!

I decided that I couldn't wait for a BL order of gears to step down/up the Portal Axles so I just wrangled an XL motor into the Unimog. That took a lot longer than it should have because I was without the Youtube instructions (I have satellite internet and the account had throttled back for excessive usage - it happens to me every month, so I should be used to it by now). So with a series of Text messages to a friend in Louisiana and screenshots texted back to me I was able to figure it out. That first moment when I attached the battery, turned it on and the damn thing leapt forward was magical. Brilliant set and so much fun.

Another BL order to provide the required gears to motorize the Unimog! This beast is going roll!......... <soon>

It all looks fantastic, but I think my favorite piece is the Bus - excellent job on that! Great layout!

Superbly detailed! I love the use of the minifig arms. Really, really well done....

I've vacillated backwards and forwards on these sets since the earliest pictures. I'm beginning to think that: They're interesting Sets in their own right - small configurable town buildings with plenty of playability. They are a good gateway drug introduction to the Modular buildings range. Good start for personalization and Modding. Good parts for a decent price. I'd prefer it, of course, if they were a little deeper so that the interior could be more sophisticated, but I think with the addition of a sidewalk in front and a little bit of fettling they won't look too out of place in any Modular cityscape. I like them! p.s. I think a Eurobricks competition around Modding these sets would be a lot of fun!

It's a beach! Will Turner stole the rowboat from The Slippery Eel Tavern and has used it to access the Treasure Cave via the beach.... Thanks for all the kind comments.

Like I said on Flickr, awesome reboot of a classic set. ...oh and happy birthday

Quality of service at LEGO stores.
eurotrash replied to Gatthekid's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I've only ever been to the Lego Store in Overland Park, Kansas. But the service I have had there across multiple visits has been amongst the best of any retail experience I have had. Ever. Friendly, helpful, knowledgable associates. -
It looks spot on! Good SNOT techniques.
