  1. Clean lines, good greebling and an ingenious use of the cupboards. I like it!
  2. Try http://www.bricklink.com but be warned it can be addictive.
  3. Sweet ride! It looks the business.
  4. I agree! That's a good looking mower. Here's a video of a slightly amended one.
  5. Excellent job! Well doen and thanks for sharing it with us!

    Lighthouse

Very good looking lighthouse. I like the textures and colors you've used on the structure and the rock work looks effective also.
  7. Great rockwork and its good to see the Seagull again!
  8. Nice job Happer! I think this is a good improvement to the original.
  9. Thanks, I'm almost 100% certain they don't exist - although I kind of wish they did!, but it seemed like a really good idea so I went with it. As for Steffen's U-Haul; yes I had seen it and I like it a lot, but the lettering required a box 24 studs long and mine's only 13. I toyed with the idea of doing just 'U-H' lettering, but in the end I went for the cleaner look.
  10. With work, land and family commitments I find that I binge build for a couple of hours once (or more) a week. It's normally after all the other stuff has been completed, but I tend to think about the MOCs throughout the week so when I'm ready to build I know what I'm going to do and the techniques I'm going to use. And having a sorting/storage system that works for your needs definitely helps. As to the question about costs. It's been three years since I came out of my Dark Ages and I've slowly built up a decent sized inventory with Bricklink purchases and the occasional set acquisition. I set a monthly budget and (generally) have stuck to it. For my MOCs I tend to build either vehicles or Modular Buildings and some get recycled almost immediately after I've taken pictures, others tend to stick around for a long time. From a quick glance at Flickr I've already recycled 50% of my MOCs and for competitions I build and recycled very rapidly.
  11. Half-Track UHaul Truck I just realised I hadn't posted this in the forums when I originally built it, so here you go. It's a hybrid Half-Track/UHaul Truck that can go anywhere. It's 8-wide with a SNOT roof. The tracked components came from Chima Crawley Crawl Ripper #70001 Delivery guy not included! Comments, criticism, ridicule most welcome!
  12. This is my main pet peeve with Eurobricks. I love the site and I'm on here daily, but it gets frustrating when good, original, new threads are bumped down by older threads being rehashed with nothing consequential being added. I'd propose an even more restrictive policy. "If a thread hasn't been active for more than three months then only administrators or the original author can resurrect it" and if you want to add something then ask an admin.
  13. Scale? I tried it once - it was overrated... Good looking vessel there Cap'n KeepLeft. More please!
  14. I can't take credit for the Seagull as it's the one from the 5770 Creator Lighthouse Island set from a few years back. But he's not exhausted as he's just spent the last 28 days quarantined in New Jersey despite being symptom free... Thanks for all the comments!
  15. It's good to see Ballabreek back! I'm going to book my holidays there for next Summer...
  16. Bus Stop I've been busy putting together some of my existing Modular MOCs together for a display in November, but I had an overwhelming urge to build something new, something smaller and compact. So here's my rural Bus Stop. It features a drinks vending machine, power pole, rain water downspouts and around the back a covered area for bike stands. Oh, and it has the missing Seagull from the Parisian Restaurant There's also the smallest bathroom I've ever built - it's a 4 x 4! One final shot! As usual comments, criticism and ridicule most welcome!
  17. I like it - good looking interior! It looks like a couple of the airports I've flown into.
  18. You could start with this one and hack it back to just the Apartment http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41226&st=1775#entry1002401
  19. It looks like a good start! Here's a couple of links for you... Review of the Jet Ski set http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=59483 (although it does seem disproportionately large) And check out Greg3's dive shop in Ballabreek http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=77658&st=50&hl=+dive%20+shop#entry1595999 And the Simpson's house came with a couple of sunloungers But why not consider adding a rocky area with rock pools - easy enough to do and it might add some variety to the beach. I'm looking forward to seeing how this develops...
  20. I think this is a good representation of the original train. I like how you've managed to make the complex front and the striping really stands out. I agree that we need to see bigger pictures!
  21. Great details and a different approach to the Competition theme - good luck with it!
  22. You, me and everybody else in this place....
  23. The first image in the folder is called Instruction - click on that and it opens another folder containing the step by steps.
  24. I like the brickwork and the cobbles in the beer garden and the interior looks good. Again, another fine looking decal!
