To add onto Zeya's comment, if you're interested in POTC, buy them from Target. They are running a similar promotion as TRU and their prices are not above MSRP.
-
Right but in the long run, if he still wants BoE and it is sold out in the primary market, he'll have to pay much more in the secondary market. The amount of money he saved on buying the CTT will be nominal in comparison.

Fantastic, best MOC yet. Have fun at Brickworld!

Hehe, my post was a response to Stegoceras's question () as the BoE is still available in his country. Oh and I agree with your buying philosophy .

What coupon are you talking about? Can you please provide a link? And how much is the discount? Thanks!
-
Quite interesting, thanks for sharing. Whoever made this has some serious photo shop skills.

The price of both sets is almost the same so it's not really a factor for comparison. Stegoceras, I say go for the Battle of Endor because it has the shorter shelf life. This set has been out since 2009 and is on its way out. In most cases, buy the set that is going out of production soon to avoid overpaying MSRP on the secondary market.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Donut replied to eiker86's topic in Special LEGO Themes
legolooney, thanks for posting a closer and high def pictures. Computer rendered or not, all the minifigs look great! My favorite is Cleopatra, but for army building I really like the newly designed dwarf. The gladiator would be a close third. It looks like the cave girl's head piece is made of hard plastic and the bone piece clips onto it. And to the second question... Edit: Fixed quotation syntax. -
Welcome aboard Nazgarot! Fantastic introduction, seldom do I see intros that are as detailed as yours. A great read to say the least. So you studied rocket science in college?! That's really awesome because it has a reputation of being very challenging. If you want to post a MOC, simply go to the sub-forum that is appropriate for the MOC and post it there. For example the three themes that you like: Star Wars: Post MOCs here: SW subForum Technic, Mindstorm: Post MOCs here: TM subForum Tutorials with helpful information: Link

Fantastic thread, I had the same question. I really like the idea of filing the instructions in a file box. Thanks for sharing!

I am sorry for the redundancy. I did a quick scan of the first post, but I should have used the control find option. :poke:s back.

REVIEW: Fabuland 3628 Perry Panda and Chester Chimp
Donut replied to Pandora's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Great review! The figs look so perfect and shiny () after finally being released from their 30 years of imprisonment. Was there supposed to be a story booklet in every Fabuland set? -
Nah, I don't this would have turned into a flame war as everyone was very civil and respectful towards each other's opinions (for the most part). Captain BeerBeard, you make a valid point about the lack of detail. Being that this is LEGO, you could always modify it to your personal liking.

Picture Comment Challenge - Counting up the votes
Donut replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Juliet Kembitskey - "Save the rum!" - 1 point For a concise yet witty quote. Hemish Dekker Jack - "I see why Orlando and Keira didnt come back for this movie" - 1 point Aside from the obvious, is this a hint on the movie's overall performance in comparison to the former 3? Point awarded for making me ponder on this on this. Ben White - "Too late, Captain Jack realized that Zombie Pirates are immune to fish slaps." - 1 point Point awarded for the most creative quote I have read. Ben Kenobi would have found the use of fish as a weapon to be very uncivilized. -
Mafia School: Fabuland Housewives - The Conclusion
Donut replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
How many creatures do you know who can free themselves Harry Houdini style after being tied up in a dark room? Hunter Horse would escape and kick your tail if he found out. -
Great review Blackknight112! Ki-Adi Mundi doesn't look good from any angle, but I guess loyal fans have to pick this up to complete their Jedi council. The price is a bit high, but I guess we're all used to that by now. Edit: Oh I see there's a member here who goes by the name Ki-Adi-Mundi. I guess now he'll have an official avatar to use.

Sorry I am a little late on the discussion. For small purchases, I find gumball machines to be a very fun form of purchasing LEGO because I like randomness. It is very rewarding when I get something I want based purely off luck. Since the converse also holds true, I prefer to buy in small quantities to limit the disappointment. Unfortunately here in the US, most people don't buy from gumball machines (at least where I live). The machines are often filled up and are not in areas where the shopping density is high (such as in a mall). The only places where I have seen them are in front of TRU and Best Buy. It's amazing how the polybags were able to fit inside the plastic sphere. Do you guys remember LEGO promotions with Kabaya treats? Was that also inside a gumball machine? Very nice! It's interesting how the brand name of the machine is called Time Capsule. I wish there was a time capsule to fill the void in my series 1 collection.

Palpatine would never had a chance had there been so many Kit Fistos.

I don't circulate this sector of the forums much, but what a great find DLunders! Choking Hazard's (male) skeleton is so detailed and aside from a few missing organs, it is very accurate.
