Oh god, I hope they don't get hair. Nope. I'm totally down for new torso components. Also, since when was "Raise ur Bonkle" under my profile pic? I didn't do that. Who did that? Is it an award?

I recently built this little emulation of the Protector build, just to get a feel for this size of figure. I must say, I adore it! Can't wait for these sets to come out! There's also a couple more pics of them on my Flickr. EDIT: 'them' for gender neutrality's sake

I honestly don't mind the Toa being referred to as Masters now. In fact, I'll be quite HAPPY if Bionicle has less jargon. So much less vocabulary to have boggling around in your head. And anyway, Master Tahu just sounds so oriental. I love that. Also, keep watch of that there website. Y'never know, they could have pictures at some point...

On harder plastics (shells, bricks), nail varnish remover or white spirits/paint thinner does the trick. I'd be careful doing this on soft plastics however - I used nail varnish remover to remove the print on the Iron Man and Green Lantern chestplates... While the GL one came off alright, the IM one smudged a little bit at the edges, and both chestplates are now awfully matte feeling/looking. But on armour shells, it works a charm.

Any thoughts on Wave 2 for 2015? Personally, I think that's when we'll see villains, like we usually did with Gen-1 Bionicle. But what kind of villains?

I really love your mockups dude. What software are you using for the renders? That aside, I'm looking at the little figures (Guardians? Defenders? Forgotten the word...), And methinks they're using the XT4 torso. I mean, their heads look pretty big in proportion to their bodies, and I do not recognise the armour used on their torsos...

I had a dream last night where Hero Factory continued alongside Bionicle. There were more beasts and Battle Machines - most memorably, a very chunky white beast, and also a new white Hero. Don't think this will be reality though.

Would you like to see Castle Action Figures again
Logan McOwen replied to ShadowWolfHount's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I'd love to see how they'd be done with CCBS! More traditional, medieval armour addons would also be lovely to see. -
A-are we seriously debating how masks attach? Here's a simple answer: A mask is not a hat, therefore it doesn't go on top. It goes on your face, like glasses. Did I seriously have to define that??

I hope if there is a new head, it matches the scale of the Avtoran/Metru heads, so we can use the older Kanohi. Although that's just me being a hopeful fanboy, it would make a lot of sense. I mean, does Lego really want to make 9 years of one product line somewhat incompatible with the next 9+ years of it? However, I won't be heartbroken if they use the BA head piece. As long as they still connect like masks, I'll be happy c:

Seeing as these guys are CCBS, I'm really torn about not wanting Kopaka or Onua. I have enough white and black in my CCBS collection as it is... But Kopaka was my second Bionicle set, so I feel bad about not wanting him :< But alas, my first was Tahu in 2001, so my first will be Tahu in 2015. I'll probably then aim to get Gali, Pohatu and Lewa, and maybe one or two of the Guardian/Matoran things. Probably the water and stone ones, maybe the jungle one.

Well at least this iteration of the discussion is less heated then that of Tumblr... But anyway, moving on. I'm one of those people who likes the idea of each 'Koro' being of mixed genders. While I really enjoyed the idea of a race of blue lady robots when I was little (it struck me as something like the Amazons), I think more diversity across each clan would be a lot more balanced. Especially seeing as about 80% of each element consisted of male possessors. But I'm not going to attribute that to 'ermahgerd grergs er serxerst' or 'muh patriachy' or anything - it was a toy, developed in the late 90s/early 00s, for boys. It was guaranteed to have a crummy gender ratio as soon as it was decided to be for boys. And you know what? I accept that. Whatever. Moving on to the future now. Beepity booper.

Necroing a thread again, but these are lush. Love the use of Toa Mata leg pieces as the arms, works well with the style Mahritoran have going.

Never knew Breez's machine had back armour though! That's lovely a lovely touch.

Does anyone know about 66158?
Logan McOwen replied to Transparency for Effect's topic in LEGO Action Figures
These have come up in discussion before, I believe. I may be wrong, but I think last time we came to the conclusion that these were fakes, or at least weren't released as promised. Don't hold me on that though.
