    Gonna just necro this thread to bring a relevant topic to it. So, next year we're pretty sure that the Bionicle sets will have gear mechanisms incorporated into them. Do we think it's likely that these mechanisms will be Technic built, or will they have a pre-moulded gearbox?

    I like the idea of the MoCr slipping over the other masks, but I'm not sure how likely that is? I'm gonna take a look at the other set's masks and see if they have anything on their exteriors which could hint to such a function.

    Well, at least they came to fruition somehow... Did anyone in the thread buy any of them? That looks great! I love the custom chestplate, helmet, and the opaque head! Is there a way to get these online?

    I did just yesterday! Nothing Bionicle-y in there, just 2014-related stuff. There is a double page spread on the IFB combiners though.

    While I really like what we've seen of Bionicle so far, I'm gonna have to say that I like the 2012 and 2014 Hero Factory sets a liiittle more. I dunno, there was just a lot more originality flowing around.

    Firstly, that ain't my design! Scroll back a bit through the thread, and you'll see that it's by the lovely GK377. Secondly, yes, I used the narrower torso. Thank got the big chest-plate covers up the default shoulder balls from the front...

    Oh damn, that's good! And good god, the hands. Also, the mask is all scratched up. Intentional?

    Sorry for the big images, but... LDD is very, very wrong. This gearbox works like a charm. The only change I've had to make is the use of some old Optic Cable instead of a 2M axle at at the top, as the weight of the arms likes to make the Technic beams 'peel' away. Y'see, that's the only problem with LDD building - no sense of durability. But yeah, it's a great build! Great work GK733!

    Oh I've seen those! The torso prints are excellent. Might go for a couple of those if I spot them. Those helmets using axles are nice. Don't live in the US, and I can't find any literature about them online! Any more information? All my trips to poundland return unsuccessful :c Nothing there... :I
