Many thanks :) I went for Vader's chestplate, as it kinda carries on the striped texture on the addons over his hips and shoulders. Indeed, I'm a naughty boy~ Thank you! He's certainly quite a break away from my usual Toa/Humanoid builds, which is refreshing.

I for one welcome this. It's a nice aesthetic - Almost like rivets.

Because my Kopaka chestplate is currently in use elsewhere. That, and this one has more gold visible. Thanks! I would've gone for something else, but I wanted the trans-light blue so... Yeah.

MOCs: Jungle Brawler and Jungle Guardian

Thanks! And feel free to! Enjoy :) -
GORUK, MASTER OF IRON Goruk is based upon a totally custom, Technic-based torso frame, which integrates a bespoke gearbox to swivel his waist. I previously used this hand design in a revamp of Rocka XL. The torso shell is from a third party set from the "Fusion Warriors" line, which is usually marketed as "Space Tutelary". EKIMU, MASTER OF CREATION The intention here was to portray Ekimu as a Toa-like character, but with my TW2 gearbox so he's more akin to the 2016 sets. His design is meant to somewhat mimic that of his current set portrayal in regards to colour layering and proportions. Front Back Skeleton - Front Skeleton - Back

GALI, AGILE MASTER OF WATER The intention here was to redesign Gali with my TW2 gearbox, giving her the ability to twist at the waist like 2016's Toa figures. She also has a gear mechanism in her axe, which animates the two black rotors. Front Back Axe - Close up Axe - Mechanism Skeleton - Front Skeleton - Back

JUNGLE BRAWLER Jungle Brawler is built on a standard XT4 frame, with a custom Technic structure to reposition his shoulder joints. Front Back JUNGLE GUARDIAN Jungle Guardian again is built with a standard XT4 frame, but has the generic 2015 gearbox hooked up to their left arm, with friction gears at the shoulder. Front Pose

Yikes. Akida is certainly the LoSS equivalent of this wave. Gali's nice though - I like the gunmetal!

The new torso bone is as beautiful as I suspected it'd be. I'm sold.

I doubt that very much, considering that traditional CCBS is very much still in use. A couple of armour addons doesn't really indicate a "return to old" at all, and quite frankly I'm glad of that.

No, you're not the only one who likes the new sets. There's no need for the pseudo-cussing or pretentiousness. I also find it odd that you used a pejorative term (clashing) to describe something you like.

I doubt these will appear this year, at least not in the UK.

I'm sure you could, yes. Good thinking, Batman. -
I'm pretty much on board with everything DV, Caboose, Lyichir and Mesonak said. This wave is a big jump back in many regards, but there's still things I love about it - the new torso bone, the new gear, the return of Vorox armour, and all the delicious recolours. But honestly, I doubt I'll keep the ones I'm buying in one piece for very long.

The creatures probably also boost the Toa's elemental powers.

Here's an even bigger image of Rey's back. It seems the new torso bone mimics that used on the new Toa, just with a fixed pelvis and no extension for the neck joint. Bonus: Finn's back, further confirming my suspicions and also showing us how the heads are connected. -
I doubt that.

More pictures! Likely of most interest: -
The old brainstalk wouldn't likely fit underneath the Creature heads.
