  1. I see absolutely no likeness. Huh.
  2. MOD: Game-style Ekimu Those who have played BIONICLE: Mask of Creation will know that there has been an update to the game recently, which not only introduces Skull Warriors to the battlefield, but also Skull Slicer, Skull Scorpio, Skull Basher and Skull Grinder as four additional boss levels. Also, once you've fought and defeated all the bosses with their Toa of choice, you can also play as Ekimu, the Mask Maker! Now, those of you who are quite observant may have noticed something a bit off about Ekimu's in-game model. For those who haven't, take a look at his shoulders and arms. Ekimu has the same build as Narmoto, the Protector of Fire! The model uses 5M hinge bones and a 5M shell in trans light blue, which are versions of those parts which we do not have IRL. But, we can still build a close approximation - which I have done! What do you think of this version of Ekimu? Is he now more in line with the other figures of his size, or do you feel that he lacks a certain je ne sais quoi without a gearbox?
  3. Neat. I wonder if there's any other undiscovered G1 titbits out there...
  4. I second that notion. Also if I had space. So many Skull Warriors...~
  5. sigh It has been stated time and time again that G1 and G2 are seperate.
  6. That's a pretty nice solution! I fear that you lose a lot of length when you do this though.
  7. e-excuse me?
  8. Apologies for necroing a thread, but Leewan recently got hold of this set and I wanted to see what the fuss is about. I really loved IFB. It's the second best HF line in my opinion, only topped by Breakout. However, this was one set I was always quite skeptical of. The Queen Beast herself was the main reason I was skeptical of this set... But looking at her more in depth, she actually looks really nice! Granted, the colour scheme is somewhat eclectic (no thanks to the gold), and the fact that she can give birth is most peculiar, but she's still put together quite well. The weapon is reasonable, but I don't understand how a giant bug-lizard Kaiju would even have a weapon in the first place. I think she would've been a lot better if the gold was swapped for lime green or medium azure. Evo's little machine is pretty cute. The build is unique, which is something which really set IFB apart from other HF waves. I for one don't mind the placement of the launcher but after building battle machines with a similar launcher placement in the past I can definitely concede in your complaint. The tubes underneath the storage tank are a mystery to me, but they work aesthetically so I don't really mind them being there. All in all, this is a good set. I doubt I'd buy it now, as I can probably replicate 90% of it with my current collection, but if I find it for a bargain, I might just bite.
  9. Any news on the Villain Pack? As in when/how will it be available?
  10. Well, if they're connected using an axle connection as proposed in the diagram, they'd stay parallel :v Just imagine them being like two different coloured (+ +) beams connected together, side by side, with one 2M axle at the one end. Of course they'd be specialised in shape so as to fill the need of a brain stalk, possibly even being mirrored moulds.
  11. Whatever it is, I want character customisation.
  12. Not necessarily. I mean, we have Technic beams that slim, don't we?
  13. Say I went to a forum for Cabbage enthusiasts, and stated that I hate Cabbage, and never want to eat it. I say that it's not as good as Lettuce, or Kale - it's just not a real green vegetable. I've never really been interested in Cabbage, but I still felt the need to tell people that are interested in it, that I'm not. A bit silly, right?
  14. Luke's definitely the weakest model of the wave, largely due to his colour scheme - or rather, lack of one. He's still reasonably built though, and his custom gun is cool... But all in all he's rather boring. One thing which also irritates me is how flat the areas to the sides of his neck are, due to the shells placed there. If he had 3M shells, placed in a similar fashion as on Jango Fett or Commander Cody, he'd look a lot better there.
  15. Cody's not nearly as interesting as Jango Fett or Obi Wan, but still looks pretty good. The gun is cool, although it does give me flashbacks of ye olde days of BioTube... [shudders] :P
  16. Oh wow, that shot of him next to Tahu took me by surprise. They did a great job giving these figures humanlike proportions, as opposed to the more fantastical proportions of the Toa. I was also surprised to see that the torso armour is dark grey as opposed to gunmetal - that's handy! Overall, he looks superb. Really impressed.
  17. Hey, this is a neat idea!
  18. Fantastic work on the poseable torso Leewan! I've gone and ordered the four components for it on Shapeways - I got the armour in white, and the two bones in black. Should be fun to fiddle with it in person! Also, I blogged about the custom torso on my Facebook page, Beardly Designs.
  19. Yeah, he was fantastic! But I never understood what that silver arm was supposed to represent...
  20. This set is the perfect thing for getting my boyfriend into CCBS... Really lovely model. Was not expecting the back armour! Well, it is. System is not the be-all-and-end-all of Lego, y'know. I think you're on the wrong board.
  21. ayy lmao I'm excited :D
  22. Still no sign of them on Lego's site or Amazon. This is really silly. Hmm... John Lewis eh? Interesting.Toys R Us also have them stocked, and Grievous is slightly more expensive. It's time.
  23. I see no CCBS. This is annoying.
