Great redo of that build! I really like the tower and the steps leading up to it!

This is an entry for CCCX-Classic Set Re-imagined category. I took #1596 Ghostly Hideout and redid it as I would like to see it today! It still has one renegade, a ghost and a bird as advertised before!

So....any word on when the next challenge will be announced. I have some stuff I'm itching to build, but I don't want to start if it'll interfere with the next challenge!

I think they have used CMF as a teaser for sure in the past. Most notably is of course Monster Fighters. But the elf in S1 may have been a teaser to LOTR, The western bandit a teaser to Lone Ranger, the Space Marine a teaser to Galaxy Squad. Hard to say for sure, but it seems a good spot for them to whet the appetites of fans

If the Falcon in the joust set was a prelude to what is coming out now, what do you think of the new 'crownie' in the CMF S9? Could he also be a preview of the new wave? Personally, I think the new Falcon crest and the new Crown logo look great and I would love to have both of them represented in the new Castle wave......but I am crossing my fingers for some great new Forestmen

I've never heard of yoyo.com before.....I'll check it out. I have seen that Helm's Deep is now $105 on a regular basis at Walmart and Target. Kind of makes me wish I had waited longer than May1st to buy it! Moster Fighters on Clearance would be a great pickup!

I'm hoping to see some LOTR sales as well, but based on how long PoTC lasted, I think it will be almost the time of the second release of LOTR sets before these really get discounted. I wanted some more sets with Kaliphlin like colors/pieces to it to get discounted after Xmas, but in looking at what is available I don't foresee any of that going cheaper. Last January, I was able to pick up some Pharoah's Quest at 50% off

There are so many different 'themes' that could come into play, I can't even guess what they will present us with. My hope is that the new castle has the feel of the older castle lines in that it has some really cool little sets. The older lines all had small sets of 30-70 pieces with a minifig or two and helped add some depth to the line. I love the large sets, but I also really like just picking up some of those smaller sets just to add characters to the army or faction

The lighting in your photos are always amazing....even in this tiny vig, you put in the time for great lighting!

I really like the story and the build to go along with it. You have a lot going on in here to give it a lived in feel. I too saw the dust, and have had the same problem. I solved it by buying my wife an airbrush makeup kit. Now, I take the low power aircompressor/airbrush and spray off my MOC's before photographing! She was ecstatic for the gift, and I can use it too.

Thank you for all the comments, and well wishes! I think I usually do too, but the curve made me think more and adjust my style. I agree that it worked, and I will also need to incorporate more! That stupid roof.....I built about 10 different roofs for that curved part and just could not settle on one in which I was happy. I settled with that one, because it covered the best. But, of course I had to deal with studs then

Yeah....I went to use the camera and my batteries were dead! I'll pick up some batteries and photograph on Saturday when I'm off work. Hopefully I can photoshop and clean it up same day and post Saturday night
