  1. It's no good if you don't have kids though, good luck to any who do :)
  2. I like that Hidden Side hair piece, however it may look a little strange to have printed goggles when on the face, and molded ones when on the hair. Anyway, regarding Hooch she has the following variants: Welcome Feast: Flying Lesson: Quidditch Match (goggles on head and over eyes): I think the Welcome Feast varient is unlikely, it may also appear at the Halloween and End of Year Feasts, but she's not focused on so hard to say for sure.
  3. Her arms are fine, here is my one with boots. https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/171793-updating-your-harry-potter-minifigures/&do=findComment&comment=3420863
  4. The goblin hairpiece in white would be great, light grey would be brilliant too as about 90% goblins in the films have those colours and the dark grey which came with Griphook. There is the odd goblin with dark or brown hair, but they're few and far between. I reckon a new goblin face with glasses would be coming if and when Gringotts comes out to avoid the army of Griphook faces :D
  5. That's a good point about the 'army building' quality the HP series have had. Aside from perhaps the Toy Story Alien, I don't think there are many other licenced massable figures. The two Harry Potter series have had 8 figures that would be good to have multiples of for students which is very impressive. Just change the head, hair and hands of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Dean, Cho, Neville x2 and Malfoy and they're easily a new character because of the uniforms. HP has had some great new molds in the sets but I think there are some great new accessories, hair pieces and hats that a new CMF would benefit from. It seemed like the two HP series sold way better than other licenced minifigure themes, at least in my local stores. There is still so much potential with so many variants for many characters (each Dursley has at least 10 for example) but not all will make it to sets. Some are far too obscure for a minifigure, but it seems a shame we have had 3 versions of Azkaban Sirius, and no Rita. Or two versions of Nick and Myrtle and not the other three house ghosts. Still, the fact that we got characters like Madam Pince and Mary Cattermole this year, and we've got multiple variants of characters like Filch and Trelawney is so positive. I have high hopes for more weird and wonderful and unexpected figs in future, CMF of not.
  6. Oh cool, even better. Fair enough!
  7. With the Harry Potter theme, I think sets based on Hogwarts Castle, the Hogwarts Express, the Flying Car, Quidditch and the Knight Bus are likely to be similar to how X-Wings, the Millennium Falcon, Snowspeeders, and TIE Fighters are treated in the Star Wars theme. These have been made huge, tiny, bundled in with other craft, in 4+ sets, in the cheaper lower detailed lines, etc. But they keep coming back and making them as they're so iconic. I think we'll have something similar with the more popular HP vehicles and locations. In terms of large scale sets like the Hogwarts Express and Icons sets, the Knight Bus would seem like the only likely remaining vehicle, probably around £180-£200 based on the Creator London Taxi size and price, but assuming this is able to hold minifigures. For animals/items in the vein of the Icons set, there is obviously loads of choice, but I am not sure that set was hugely popular so not sure they'll want to follow it up with another so soon. In terms of microscale, unless it is a return to Hogwarts, no other locations are big enough. I suppose they could do a mini/micro scene pack (Hogwarts Express on the Viaduct, Knight Bus through London, full Quidditch Pitch, etc, but again not sure there would be demand for watch would almost be a UCS AC I think a return to a minifig heavy large location is likely for the next big set. Whether it includes Diagon Alley with Gringotts, Leaky Cauldron, Knockturn Alley and more shops, or something different who can say. I would love to see a minifig scale Hogwarts (probably it would only be the Great Hall and Grand Staircase Tower) as a future big set, but as the micro one is not due to retire until the end of 2024,not sure that's likely to be the next one.
  8. Anyone know the UK price? I think £450? It looks great as a display piece, there is no doubt about that, but like the castle won't be for everyone like the microscope castle. Happy to see Lego are trying different scales which will help the themes longevity as this isn't really of a remake of the 2018 HE. Also love how an unnamed Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw are included, would like more of that. Shame the trolley witch is the PS one, and they bothered to include some of the epilogue figures, would have much preferred another member of the HE crew and the Death Eater attack from DHII.
  9. Borgin and Burke's and The Inferi Cave are the big ones from this film.
  10. Hogwarts moments was very much tied to the castle, perhaps these are a similar idea but across the whole series rather than just the school?
  11. Despite the fact none of mine remain built as books, I really like the moment sets. Don't like the new price though. I think common rooms are the most likely, hopefully we just get sofas and tables etc, no dormitory stuff. If it's not the common rooms, then they could be based on Lochart's DADA room, Lupin's DADA Room or Care of Magical Creatures if they're based on classes we've not yet had. DADA unlikely as we got Moody's last year, and Lochart's is available in CoS. Care of Magical Creatures and also something like Flying would be a little odd as are outside and so not much in the way of accessories. It could also be little adventures in Hogwarts, like the Troll in the Bathroom, Duelling Club, Chamber of Secrets, Dementor Lesson, etc. That would be quite good and expand the range a little, something I would be in favour of, but the common rooms would be my top pick. If it is a little Hogwarts House wave, my first choice would be the House Ghost and two students, although all the heads of houses have unmade variants which I would be happy with. I'm sure we'd get some more familiar faces, but here is a male and female student from each house which would add variety to the student rosters. Gryffindor - Lee Jordan and Romilda Vane Slytherin - Blaise Zabini and Pansy Parkinson Hufflepuff - Ernie MacMillain and Leanne Ravenclaw - Marcus Belby and Penelope Clearwater Hey, I can dream
  12. 1. Fat Lady (PS) 3. Brian Gagwilde III 4. Elizabeth Burke 11. Henry Bumblepuft 12. Temeritus Shanks 15. Giffard Abbott 16. Basil Fronsac Most of these names are from the OotP and HBP games. Also, 18 looks like it has the name Merlin on it but not familiar enough with portraits to say if it's in the films or not.
  13. I think what many of the above comments suggest that going into the sixth year of sets, there is no sign of Lego running out of ideas for fresh sets. In Hogwarts Castle alone there is the Troll in the Bathroom, the rest of the PS Chambers, Lupin's Classroom, Bogart Training, the Second Task, Umbridge's Office, Room of Hidden Things, the Owlery, House Common Rooms and everything from DH.
  14. Han Solo has reddish brown hair, I'm interested to see if Indy will have the same considering his hat from the 2008 sets was the same colour. Surely one will be different! Something that IJ and HP have in common that makes them perfect Lego themes in the good mix of vehicles and locations. Star Wars is very vehicle heavy, POTC has loads of ships and LOTR has a few horse drawn things and not much else. IJ and HP have a really good mix. I haven't seen the films in years, probably not since the last sets came out, but I remember being disappointed by the lack of Last Crusade sets. I seem to remember there was a big scene with a tank? I'm not sure Lego would go for a real world tank, we got some in SW but they're a bit spacey. Looking back over the 2008-9 sets, it's striking how dull the colour palate is for most of the Kingdom sets, the Russian vehicles in particular. Really looking forward to the temple set which is the only one I'm certain to get, I'll have a rewatch of the films before they come out though to see if the others are of interest.
  15. I was one of the lucky VIPs who was offered free packs. You could get two of the Winter, Fun and Spooky pack in their respective periods, Pirate was the next (and seemingly final) one. However, I've not heard anything for months, none of the Pirate packs seem to have been released via the trial scheme. I have contacted Lego about it and they seem to have no idea when the next pack will be released, if at all. The trial was supposed to end with a questionnaire asking how the participants found the giveaways, but nothing has been heard on that front either. The packs were £8.99 in your basket but were free gifts.
  16. Is the Wicket figure and AT-ST Driver's head new in that 4+ set?
  17. Interesting the GWP set goes back to the initial Moments torso with the crest on the jumper. Although I'm happy we got them initially, I would like to see the back of them, especially Gryffindor. It would be nice to get a Hufflepuff one to complete the set though.
  18. Will the design leader leaving Harry Potter have an impact on what sets the theme produces? Or is that decided from higher up? I like the look of the current sets and the focus on the earlier years (but with plenty of later years as well), I'm sure if the focus changing means more DH stuff in the future some would be very happy. There is a chance the theme could start treading old ground in terms of locations soon. Obviously there is more of Hogwarts and Diagon Alley Lego hasn't touched, as well as some locations from years 1-6 like the Zoo, World Cup and Inferi Cave off the top of my head, but the DH films introduce so many locations it seems likely to me we'll see some of them crop up soon. Plenty are houses like Privet Drive, Burrow and 12 GP in Malfoy Manor, Lovegood House, Shell Cottage and the ruined Godric's Hollow. There is also the Wedding Tent, Duel in the Cafe as well as the Tent and the Pool which could easily be in the same set.
  19. Is this polybag being released alongside the Grand Staircase GWP?
  20. Can we get the word 'woke' on the megablocks filter please I really hope Castle can continue, and this set seems to have gone down very well so hopefully will sell despite the huge tag. A couple of things I'd like to see in the future is more peasants and their animals (of course!) but also more male nobles. Pretty much all past princess and queen figures can become noble women, just removing the crown, but most king figures are not so transferable. I think concentrating on the three factions released so far is good for now, so a Camouflaged Outpost for Forestmen or Guarded Inn for Lion Knights. For the Black Falcons, a re-release of their castle is probably too close to the Lion Castle, so perhaps their Catapult, Battering Ram or the Sea Serpent remakes would be good for them.
  21. Absolutely. Alternatively I'd love a new door piece to fit with the gothic arch slopes. All the doors lego produce at the moment are too round at the top!
  22. Grand staircase is brilliant, another skirt piece, the FAT LADY YESSSSSS and lots of portraits of different sizes. The build is also so great.
  23. Nope, it doesn't matter. This line is in its fifth year and doing very well. It's not doing a LOTR and fading away. Nothing to worry about folks, we'll get a gringotts at some point. Patience is the key.
  24. Really looking forward to the portraits and to see how they do the stairs. Would like to see any torso but the open/closed robes from 2021 onwards, but would still be good to get another. Glad I've not bought any of this wave yet 😁
  25. No OT set has had a longer time since a redo than Tie Bomber (2003) and Tie Interceptor (2006). Unless you include the tiny lift/walkway depicted in one of the Final Duel sets.
