but i think the continuation of only a few themes is what brought them in trouble in the first place. sure, the firetruck was highly successful so every reason to build another one, that's not our concern. the thing is they're ONLY producing firetrucks and policecars... you'd think they use the successful basis of the firetruck to build normal cars/trucks, just to see how that goes... btw, we still have the old firestation in the shops...

ah! finally we have some one who's interested in these gadgets on older sets that used to inspire an entire generation! *sweet* i started the light and sound series in the space corner with the review of the Solar transmitter and have another on the way i think this subject deserves some serious digging into!

just on a site note: suppose these troopers are the troopers you all seem to want (don't ask me for their types, i don't know anything about sw names, for me, "Wedge" is an english term for a lego part, not a pilot :-P ) how would that impact on the bl-price for these guys?

*wub* *wub* we'll probably need some more than a prayer, but who knows? if aquaraiders turns out to be successful... but then, we have no clue what soever how this theme will look like... it could go both ways... still, there was a rumour not that long ago that would revive an old theme, i guess we know now what that is...

I'v added the Exo-Force, but I think the Star Wars sets deserve their own thread ;-) well if we are picky, :-P you may wanna change the "feuer" into "fire" as well...

you seem to enjoy these classic space rebuilds, eh? if there's anything you've proven it's that it is possible to create great mocs based on the older sets! moc on!!

i went to see pirates 2 with a few friends... hm... i think the first is better. this one has too many plot lines, too many complicated story lines... it seems to go from one island to the other and i find it hard to keep up...

i wonder if you can provide us with a photo of this brick in question. it's not that don't believe you, cos I do after having heard so many complaints, i've just never seen that before and it would indeed be a serious problem. these lego markings distinguish lego parts from any other part, you'd think they'd never compromise on that...

sure, the isd takes a day to build, and sure, the fun is gone after a while, but the level of difficulty isn't very high... it's just too repetitive, too many sections that need to be build over and over again... the hardest thing i remember was the 8002 destroyer droid man! that was a pain in the neck!. first you had all these rubber bands you needed to apply to parts you could hardly reach with your hands, then you had lots of small lego technic parts and it all had to fit perfectly into the model or it wouldn't do what it was supposed to do. you could fold the head and arms into the main structure, forming a ball. and as in the film, you could roll it to the floor and at some point, when a specific part hit the ground it would open up, the arms would stretch into position, the head was supposed to go up... ok... that worked once i believe....

hm... i think he first said he had a scotch the day before...

i watched "the third man" a few days back... it's supposed to be an absolute classic, but i kinda fail to see that... the music is great though...

yeah you're right! you are the only one who loves UfO! :-P i hate the huge and terribly printed parts and the minifigs were dreadful as well, even though i remember seeing them on display at the shopping mall and looked awesume... but in reality, they're not special at all, you couldn't even build a real big saucer with these models...

hm... i usually respond to good or bad ebay deals with "you really never know what you'll get, you just have to be lucky and hope you get the things you were hoping for", but in this case... i don't mind the cigarette smoke;, sure, it's a pain, but lots of soap and water will help you there... the powder...g... shall we assume the seller got megablocked at you and wanted to have his/her revenge? did it leave any effect on your bricks, btw?

weeeell... i'm hoping some friends of mine can get 2 xwings for me if they're at a very reasonable price; i'll mod one and i'll build the other one

Man today I went to a toystore and I got to say those playobil toys look damn nice. Sadly it's only figurines and stuff no actual building. Lego is improving but there is still so much to do before the get back to that original spirit playmo is still the hottest toy in town! they're also having an exibition for their 30th aniversary here in belgian's museum for toys.. g... these things look great and have hardly changed thru out the years... most of all, contrary to lego , they succeeded in getting girls to love the toy as well. it seems the explenation is that kids want to copy their parent's lives when they're playing with these toys, so they need a mom and dad and a few kids... stuff lego hardly explores...

What do you think Vice City was inspired by ? Scaraab, white Testarossa, Florida feel and even music by Jan Hammer ;-) *yoda* sounds like an overdose of 80's to me! :-P
