hmmm.... sure it's better than the old sets of the type, but i wouldn't say it's great... i feel that many sw fans can easily produce this too... not on my "to buy" list...

some sort of European court decided that lego as a system is not danish property... the danish dude just marketed the brick with lots of success... sry tt, but lego being danish is just coincidence... in fact, there was a belgian many many many years ago who... :-P and no kim, no bionicle pieces yet, but feel free to contribute :-P , and yes i did get my prize, nope, not a galaxy explorer as requested but an inferior sw set :-P and i don't really understand why you suddenly and viciously attack Lord Vader's Island... what has My Lord done to you that he deserves this outrageous behaviour from your part? :-( :-P

but yoda, why are you making so much effort into finding crappy things about Denmark? i mean, apart from some Danish cartoons about a prophet, what does the average intelligent person on this planet know about this God forsaken country , far far away from any kind of civilisation? What on earth have they ever produced apart from some medieval barbarians that killed innocent children and women, even too lazy to make their own gold and money? In fact, their own country was soooo terrible that they moved to countries that looked sooooo much better! and what did they do to improve humanity in let's say the last 1000 years, really? ok... let me think... a danish astronomer aaaand.... g.... who else? not even worth a footnote in human history.... so let's not degrade ourselves to compare denmark to our own countries, ok... have some decency... they know they're crap, we know they're crap, no need to say that outloud... *sweet*

happy birthday Mike! hope you're celebrating with all your loved ones and get looooots of lego, like 4 UCS ISDs, 15 xwing fighters, 10 sandcrawlers,... that is the usual amount of sets you get, isn't it? :-D enjoy your day! *sweet*

hm... well my guess is that TT IS leaving his post as admin... But i guess we all move on at some point...

as a recall correctly, last year this so-called brilliant viking team was smashed to pieces by a family of one dad, his young wife and a baby... so i wouldn't say too much if i were you... :-D or did you just forget to take your doping that day? X-D the year before, and i do recall this correctly, the viking team cheated by not starting behind the white line, but before it. so , i wonder what it's going to be this year... add an engine to your truck? or bring a water gun to shoot at us? get your house closer to the starting point? hmmmm...

ok, now you've gone too far! TAKE THAT BACK!!! >:-) >:-) :-D

hm.... most of them seem to be known as Brittish, not as Australian bands... well there's Crowded House. they were really big in the 90's with "Foodface" amongst others there's the guy singing "You're the voice" somewhere late 80's... what's his name again... ah... even older... 70's... Sherbett... think it's written like that... the only song i know that made it all the way to Belgium was "howzat", but they were pretty big down under... then there's Olivia and Bee Gees... both giants in the music industry of 70's and early 80's. sure, they're associated with the UK, but they originated in Australia... Same goes for Kylie (and her sister i guess) and Jason Donovan, Kylie's sweethaert back then... and what about Midnight Oil? think they're Australian too... "Beds are burning" I still remember... ah... Men at work... the copycats of the Police... yeah... they kinda surfed on the Police formula for a while... had massive sales of that one album called "Business as usual". 15 weeks at number one in the US i think... g.... am i happy the Police made an even bigger album than that... and Icehouse! "Hey little girl"... now that was a great song! the only one that actualy reached the charts, but great all the same... INXS i know pretty well too... they had a string of hits here in Europe, "Need you tonight" being their biggest, not their best, imo... Especially the b-side of the single was kinda hilarious... if i recall, it only had this one high note for a minute and that's it... but oh well, people bought the single for the a-side anyway...

yeah, at first the pin was pointing to a spot some 20km from my town too, but i got it working in the end. did you try to edit the pin and enlarge the map?

happy birthday Suvie! wish you were more often around though! :'-) Anyway, enjoy your day! *sweet*

yeah... i think the staff has answered the question, time to close the topic, before it gets out of hand...
-
weeeell people are allowed to express their views, even if that means they're negative about something you like a lot... that's all... in fact, we wouldn't even have topics if we'd all agreed about everything with each other... see it as an opportunity to change their mind *sweet*, but i understand that you're feeling annoyed about it...
-
well i'd be happy with an adult space line... a line with really sophisticated and big sets, with at least the quality of the sw line for the models and the figs.
-
i bought 6 of that UFO set about 5 years ago in a supermarket in Dubai... I was VERY surprised to see lego in the Middle East, especially a set i'd never seen before. unfortunately, i didn't keep any MISB :'-) still, they must be rare by now...
-
weeeell i think we can safely say that Lego killed its own set with that price... a shame, really... i liked it a lot, but you're better off building a chess set of your own...
-
only 50 euro? BUY!!!!
-
well i wouldn't be in favour of having this type of dicussions on eb 1) i'd rather limit the site to lego topics as much as possible 2) topics like these need some serious and direct management from staff members and i think they're already having their hands full 3) there are sites better suited for subjects like these 4) why don't we just agree to disagree about religion and politics for that matter and leave it as it is... 5) they're timebombs... they may go well for a few pages but they only need one pissed off member to spin out of control, creating some serious scars in the EB-community in the process
-
it looks great! colors are quite soft, not torturing my eyes *sweet* i guess you guys know that the "search topic" tag still needs to be done?
-
reviving this one is ok. i don't really like UFO. the color combination isn't that good and the figs are a bit too decorated. Still, i remember seeing these sets at the shopping mall when it was first released and i was really impressed by the flying saucers! However, i feel most space themes were really degraded after the arrival of star wars sets. suddenly space looked for small kids, sw was for the serious lego fans... and i haven't really seen a change in that... space still is for kids, sw for mature fans...

HELL YES!!! hm... i'll pm you... johan

what else do you have there Mike?

I think it's time for me to take a step back from the Eurobricks staff. I've been around for several years now and i've had the privilege to be part of the evolution of the site and the community from up close, but i think it's time to allow somebody else to keep an eye on the space forum from now on. Every community needs to shake off its old skin from time to time, make some room for the new kids on the block. I never intended to be staff for the rest of my life, it was only a temporary function. No, i won't go away or anything, i'd rather just remain fellow.

sounds fine to me. still have to pay you though pm me your paypal address, tt

cool, but.... .... this time it's not necessary for you swedes to pack your suitcases tomorrow and take the boat to Greenland, followed by the ferry to Canada, across the US is a rusty cargo train, then a plane to the Galapagos, a stop over at South-Africa, then to.... oh well... i guess you get the point: JUST TAKE THE CAR AND CROSS THE SWEDISH BORDER TO DENMARK!! yes! Denmark is a neighbour of Sweden! >:-) Swedish geography ON!! >:-)
