yeah, this is disturbing. :'-) ... it seems to me though that he's been unhappy here for quite some time. Things got overheated.... he got banned... i will most of all remember him as someone who was always around for the last couple of years, not only with intelligent posting, but also moderating and building. some one to rely on. Some one you could trust he'd keep an eye on EB while Europe was asleep. He will be missed. damn, this is bad... :'-)

great job guys! love it! especially the space dude standing at the center of EB's banner!! X-D but for some reason it has uploaded my old avatar.... hm... weird...
-
they're worth something to me, sure! :-) they're also for sale on bricklink, btw, you can check prices there

i'll be there from Thursday to Sunday obviously... yeah, tt, i still have to pay you... i'll do that at the end of the month...

well honestly, these guys remind me of some sort ska-band, like Madness or so, all wearing these weird costumes and stupid hats, the black guns are flutes or whatever, then there's the singer, and the others with the brown whips are tuba players or something... :-| yeah... my mind is not exactly right there today... 8-|

voted for 20... i DO love these things but honestly this trip is already expensive enough: 300 euro on flights, 130 or so on village, another 40-50 or so on entrance.... really people, if these costs are rising even further i may have to bail out...

well, i remember this vaguely from my history teachings, (yeah... i'm an historian, and yeah... we actually learned about this stuff, unfortunately i forgot most of this...) but i don't think the Arabs had these classic battleships... they didn't need them because they didn't need to sail the oceans, nor did they have the knoledge to build battleships the way the West did. It was in fact one of the reasons why the West conquered the world, instead of anybody else... this and this is a kind of ship they used for practically everything....

well people don't buy the parts seperately because it would be very expensive. buying a big set means buying at different BL shops (including postage and shipping), it's extra messy because you really have to spend time on working it all out... not fun :-X let's face it: the box has a big value to every set. don't we all just wanna pick up a box in the shop, listen to sound of bricks in bags shifting from one side to the other... :-$ the notion that there's a closed box with lego to be opened as soon as you get home... :-$ *wub* those things make a set special too... I am a bit disappointed about the layout though... it looks nice but it seems... by lack of a better word... <insert that tiresome argument>... no prices, no real explenation like to what theme or series it belonged... ofcourse i'll buy it, and ofcourse it'll be close in reach at all times, but it doesn't look like a real collector's or AFOL's guide or anything, just all the catalogs of the last 50 years put together. For instance, we don't see photos of boxes and instruction books, but photoshopped covers of the box...
-
well i think that a collector collects something special. a real collector doesn't collect Lego, he/she collects Lego sets. That includes bricks, box, instruction book, catalog. Sure, you can get a copy of the instruction book and forget all about the box, if you want, but then you're just a collector of bricks and copied instruction books, nothing special about that.

well this is obviously going to be like a bible to me. the reason why i didn't start a topic about it is because i couldn't find pictures of it... but i will buy it as soon as see it... well... depending on the money i have left after these great many brilliant sets... and hope it's not too expensive

oh hell, this is GREAT 8-

well to be honest, Lego is, imo, not entirely innocent in this department either. Just the other day, i saw the mega blocks 'castle' assault weapon which came pretty close to Lego's set. I'm not so sure though that it was MB copying Lego and not the other way around...

i like what you're doing, i'm just wondering how this probe will drive on rough terrain...

happy birthday! *sweet*

yeah... i would like an administrator to close the topic. i apreciate your enthousiasm for the EB-community, but i think a topic like this would lead us a but too far from what this site is supposed to be: a site about lego

Airport shuttle was 7000 BEF, so there was a price difference, but not that much. 700 BEF is about 18 euro. can't be that important really. Or maybe the shuttle's production run was shorter... who knows...

Recently Lego released their 2007 Annual Report

thanks very much! *sweet* what surprised me is that the benelux, scandinavia, asia and eastern Europe have a market share of 30%, that's practically as much as central and southern europe! that is impressive. i've always known that the benelux was a huuuuge customer, but we must be almost as big as germany... g... -
the printed 2x2 tile in the airbase is then a sticker as well?

sure i can easily build this thing too, but it's not the same and these dark green panels seem hard to find, if you're asking me

happy birtday! hope everything is back to normal now at your place and hope you get all EF you desire!! *sweet*

damn! i thought of bidding on this, but 600 euro already is waaaaaaay above my head :-X :-X X-O X-O

what pisses me off BIG time is the US exclusivety of this set! Surely Lego must know that everybody on the planet would like to get this sweeeeeeeet set!! Prices on ebay for this will be staggering! Really don't see the logic of this program at all!
