  1. of course! we'll start the event at the airport, i guess... just saw that a plane retour ticket is 133
  2. not sure yet. depends on the price. if we're going by train, then we'll have to take eurostar to waterloo station and then the train to windsor. the trains are ok, but i don't really want to spend all that time in a train. i'm not sure about the time table of both trains either, so we may have to wait at waterloo station also if we're going by plane, we'd arrive at heathrow which has a link to one of the stops of the train to windsor. so you wouldn't have to go all the way to London... i would prefer that one... besides, i like flying :P but ultimately, it depends on the price... i'll check the price tonight...
  3. 1) i was impressed by the first generation of bionicle sets! i never bought any but they looked great, since then, i feel the story is lost somewhere. sets lost their simplicity, now they're basically a collection of weird parts.... 2) it's not really a question of appreciation. i just grew up with the good old fashioned minifig world and i guess the gap to bionicle is just too deep... i'm totaly focused on minifigs, that's it. there's just no room anymore for bionicle in my heart... 3) Eb never was a bionicle website. most of the active members here are just not particularly interested in bionicle, so we never really bothered creating bionicle topics. we just don't care about it, but if you do, just go ahead and post topics... Most of us will simply ignore them, but that's it. no hard feelings... :P
  4. went to the shop today and the set is gone... sorry Morten...
  5. that's a great idea! in any case it would be just a little bit more realistic than the old set... btw, yoda, i'm stll waiting for the pics of the box you promised me *sing*
  6. i think you're better off using bricklink.com; the cheapest 7018 is 49.9$
  7. i think i saw this a while back... anyway, it's brilliant! :oD sure, it's very old stuff, not particularly sophisticated or realistic, but he did a great job! as a kid i also tried to build the x wing (who didn't!) but i never did all these mocs! i'd really like to see that isd from up close!
  8. no problem, i'll check it out tomorrow and let you know, however, they usually follow the catalog price, so i doubt it's below 90...
  9. i agree with this. especially in the US there is this consumer attitude to sue a company for whatever the individual can think of. Companies try to protect themselves by adding more warnings than what the rational human being would consider to be necessary... the lego company is no different, btw
  10. Where is this advertisement from?? (Very nice price!!! :o ) it's from Colruyt, that's a well known department store in Belgium. they usually sell a limited number of toys like lego. in this case they decided to lower the price of the helicopter and the racers for a few weeks. so the 3.49
  11. NO not really - set# 4032. But it is an airline set - this one I bought while travelling with SAS. They are available with other airlines as well. BUt not in regular shops and on S@H - sadly. KimT are those parts printed ones or stickers?
  12. nice plane! there are planes in all shapes and sizes, so you can easily use both for one airport... in fact, i think this one resembles the one i took when i went to billund.
  13. I think it might be non-system theme ;) KimT And I have no idea what the brwon thing is - the bird is a vulture - but the brwon frog - no clue :oo what does the instruction book say it is? i'd say it's a monkey
  14. well if you would just read what's on the website, you'll know... :|
  15. hm... well, i've seen a couple of airports in my life as well, and i'm quite certain they always had something this airport lacks: a runway, i don't find this to be more realistic than the old airports at all... i also don't think the old airports were crappy... this thing doesn't have a design, basically, it comes down to a couple of large windows and grey bars... the thing is, the company uses these larger bricks because it makes them easier to build for children, that's all... sure, they could have used large brick walls, but for some reason, and i'm thinking money, they didn't. in this case, i guess it's just a question of taste, you like it or you don't...
  16. well, tt, don't you know people somethimes take their pet with them when they travel? :P
  17. well it's probably going to be the most expensive month of the year and since i'm not going to buy 80% of the 2006 sets...
  18. i voted for the clipper... i think they're all at best average quality, but i guess options are limited if your model already is expensive because of canons, figs, ... the dragon is not a bad idea but it's not very well executed. the baracuda fig isn't bad, but not brilliant either... the others look like crap
  19. got the two old ships today the baracuda: 56
  20. happy birthday, Apo!
  21. thanks for the review, yoda as i said earlier, i don't like it. it looks too materialistic, it has no style, it's not appealing to me i do like the luggage facility and the interior of the plane, but that is it there's also no tarmac, so where is this plane going to land?
  22. you know... eb used to ban members like vcvc for stuff like this.... for poor taste of humor, tt :P
  23. you're a bit late with this discovery, yoda. i believe i saw the first pics of this a few months back. he only had the rear section of the ship at that point, so i guess his goal is to build an entire aircraft carrier...
