  1. i just placed a new BL order for 28$ they're all small parts, really, like 1x1 round plates, hinges, printed round tiles, things like that... the shop is located in the US, so i'll be paying an extra 10
  2. well, basically, four pages. i wouldn't really call it an instruction book
  3. 1) do you have a link to your source? 2) i guess it will be in the US or Asia, or with a little luck, somewhere in Southern or Eastern Europe, but i'm afraid most of Europe has been covered already. TLG did have plans to set up a theme park in Belgium a few years back, but i'll assume it's somewhere in America 3) are they going to buy a park or start from scratch?
  4. 1) it's not that difficult. there's a drawing in the instruction book 2) there's also an instruction page on lego's website i started from the drawing, being to lazy to start up my computer, but that didn't go all too well. i coudn't fix the cannon. so i looked it up on their website. It was then that i figured out those two parts were missing. but honestly , it's not that difficult. After all, many of us used to create alternate models from boxes and instructions... nothing new...
  5. i didn't buy anything today, but i received my BL order :oD 100 printed tiles 50 printed slopes i just ran out of those... i'm not going to buy the already mentioned star wars sets. i'm not a sw fan and i prefer to spend that money on BL orders
  6. well right now we're waiting for a sign from jon, since he was the guy who's doing the organising of the event. they're working on that for the moment, but if we don't hear from him anytime soon, some one else will just have to take over as event organisor. then we'll be able to figure out what we're going to do... Still, there's no reason why we should postpone the event or anything. We basically need some one to arrange our hotel and see if there are things to do in that area...
  7. well i guess everybody "steals" from everybody, company designers are no different. the thing is , it's not really "stealing" in most cases, it's using ideas from others for your own model. i don't mind about that, as long as the user doesn't claim to idea to be his...
  8. true, but i associate lots of blue bricks only with classic space. i just felt it never really "worked" as a wall in a castle/pirate set, that's all...

    Has anyone

personally i would like a star trek theme: UCS enterprise UCS cube scene: "bridge of the enterprise" UCS Voyager sure, that would be nice, but will never happen
  10. could you be more specific? use the bricklink catalog to point out the part you're refering to...
  11. i would have prefered another color instead of blue. i think you can only use lots of blue bricks on space ships. i feel it just doesn't look very good for anything else...
  12. Apo found it for 20
  13. i saw this one at a yard sale as well. the guy asked 80
  14. You mean its wrong placing them in a believable fashion all lined up like proper troops, and they must be placed guarding something? Thats wierd. Not sure what you are trying to say, they are lined up like troops from the 1700 did and its "silly silly goose"? Explain! Wow, I shall never collect armies again, placing them in a realistic fashion is silly... :| well, first of all, they aren't placed in a realistic position. cannons in front of the infantry and in between carts without horses? i don't think so. second, there's no need to bite off our nose because of what we write in our posts!
  15. yeah... i'd probably build a huuge harbour with a garrison and a fortress

    Shipwreck

octopus? i don't see any octopus...
  17. that's a great review! :oD it's a nice model, but i'm not a fan of HP. there were also problems with the colors. i believe some sets had different colors of purple, but that doesn't seem to be the case here, so i guess you're lucky! i like the lamp post. but do i see this right? there are no seats in the bus?
  18. i like the tie fighter, but what a crappy cockpit!
  19. i guess we're looking at a 5-minifig set and a cart... however, i'm still waiting for a long house or a decent viking house. a god would be nice as well, like thor and his beasts, or Odin at the walhalla...
  20. that looks great, but only if you put them in a moc
  21. hm... first, there are many, many, many ships with more than three masts! the three mast concept is just the classic, well known design, but several designs have 4-7 masts. But they look a lot different from this particular design and most are 18-20th century... second, i don't really like this ship: 1) too many colors: red-black-white-black-red-blue-black-white-black-blue-white-black-white-black-white-blue-white: waaaaaaaaaaay too many colors for me, colors you normally didn't see on these types of ships in those days... there's also no brown, even tho ships like these were made from wood... 2) the problem with the four masts and the bow is because the hull is too short to handle four masts. that's why he had to move the first mast to a position on the bow... 3) i like the fact that he's adding details, but wether that's a good thing or a bad thing depends on where you put them... if you take the baracuda for instance, you'll see most of the castle and the bow is highly detailed, but the rest is rather modest. In this case, i'd say not enough details on the castle and bow and too much in between...

    Shipwreck

it's great! however, it would have been even better with a little bit more debris, like cups, weapons,... i like the oyster and the seastars.... they're nice... what sets are those from?
  23. 1) there are many examples of models on brickshelf 2) bricklink is an ideal source to look for and buy parts
