  1. so when will we reach a 1000? this year or the next?
  2. nice review! :oD i have been thinking about buying this one, but i believe it's 30+
  3. no doubt, it's a belgian calender... haven't seen it, however... perhaps it's part of a new set, like the hospital set?
  4. lol :P i also called you a legend, tho... hm... you're also wearing a skirt, that makes you an irish bloke, or a scottish dude or some one of a rather questionable nature... :P
  5. sorry, forgot to add the pic:
  6. ok... i'm confused... we already have these in the shops...
  7. wow, that is a lot! are you going to put them in a moc or are you going to sell these?
  8. they look fantastic! not sure about the four different trains, tho. the passenger train in the back is shorter than the other passenser trains... i think the crane is a seperate set: just one wagon, no crocodile then there is the cargo train, but they may be selling the loc as a seperate set as well?
  9. i want them all! they look great! good parts, nice colors! they'll be a great addition to my current pod fleet, only problem is the color of these transparent parts, they should've been trans-clear, now i'm gonna have have to look for those at BL >:( i especially love the white pod! :oD
  10. happy birthday! have lots of fun!
  11. the creation of these mindstorm sets by lego has always been a mystery to me, but i know my former collegues at university love those. engineers and architects seem to use these things for their profession, i just don't think this is still lego.
  12. looks brilliant! i may become a train fan after all! what about the electric system of these trains? wasn't TLC planning on changing that?
  13. why you >:( |-/ :P Time Cruisers and Time Twisters ROCK!!! :D KimT was there any decent storyline behind the themes, or did the company only create a few characters?
  14. 69 canadian dollars? that's about 50
  15. ok, admins, time to step away from the alcohol of the past few days :P check your homepage! the first contest of 2005? *wacko*
  16. i think i would iron the sails to get a real smooth surface... would that work?
  17. no i most defenitely paid for a seat! :P How much is a seat? For a return trip Copenhagen - Windsor? KimT i think they've taken that ship out of service... yeah... replaced it by this giant four foot walker....
  18. no i most defenitely paid for a seat! :P
  19. damn! now i see! they left the cargo door open! that's why i felt it was kind of windy on the plane!
  20. i don't even find it to be relevent who ever gets the animal. I'll assume the Aquarium will have a list of specific requirements for any buyer. i just don't think that selling any specific animal thru an ebay auction is the right thing to do for an institution, or even for private persons. worse, they're even taking a huge profit! they could have, for instance, donated it to a zoo! they've treated an animal as any other property, something you can sell without questions asked, in fact, they actually speculated with this creature: they bought it for 15000, they sold it, when they saw fit, for 10 times more... unfortunately, this is nothing compared to what happened in belgium a month ago. A woman gave birth to a child, but never wanted it for herself, she promised the baby to a couple in belgium, that paid for all expenses, in fact the father of the couple was also the biological father, then the mother decides to sell the baby to the highest bidder on the internet, a couple in Holland... unfortunately, there's no specific legislation on this subject, so the baby stays in Holland...
  21. i find it pretty disgusting that a zoo is selling animals they just don't want to house anymore, on ebay. these institutions have their own network to distribute animals to other institutions for all sorts of scientific programs. Surely they should looked for a new home for this creature thru that network, instead of selling the animal on ebay... >:(
  22. ok... now that the effect of the wine, champaign and beer is gone, it is time for a reality check... yep, time for the question everybody wisely tries to avoid and the answer is usualy followed by a cry of disbelief, something like: "outch! that much?" :o :() how much did you spent on lego in 2005, nooo, not the stuff you got as presents, or anything, what did YOU spent? I'll just go first, shall i? Bricklink orders: 700
  23. as i said before... just having some fun amongst the lego fan communities. sorry you have such a problem with the way im doing it. thank you to those of you who have better things to do than complain about how this was done. goodbye. think about the publicity you can have if you would only put a link to your website on every post you make here. let's say 4 posts a day on eb, 7 days a week.... hm... surely that would be far more effective than one post saying "please visit my website", we'll forget all about that in a day or so...
  24. it's a combination of everything first, i've got about 150 sets still unopened... i just don't have the space to open and store it all right now, nor do i have the time. so basically, i've got a huge pile of boxes, second hand sets in plastic bags and boxes,.... the large pieces usually have a box (a blue bucket) of their own, like the wheels, the transparent parts, plates, 2 x 2 red bricks,... smaller parts are usually sorted by shape/color. it depends on the number of a specific type of brick i've got. i also mix two completely different parts in one box, in order to save boxes... i have a huge box (the blue box from the firetheme) with all sorts of unsorted, (rare) pieces unfortunately, there are also smaller boxes with lots of parts in it, boxes that need to be sorted but for some reason i just don't get around to do it....
