are you refering to what is the most difficult set to find today? and in mint condition? based on bricklink, i'd say my rarest set is either 722 or 1584 in terms of parts, hm... don't know... i guess that would be some kind of old lego flag or a printed brick of the early 70's

ok people i'm loosing track of things... first we wanted to teach the french a lesson and now we're going after these norwegians? didn't wwII teach you anything? you can't fight an enemy on two differents sides! it would split up our forces! you can't use the royal navy against the french and the norwegians at the same time! second, what do we care for the norwegians? they're completely insignificant and our prussian ally can easily deal with these people once he's done in france... if the norwegians want to fight us, then let them come to us! we'll crush them in our own lands, seas... but honestly, most of them will be dead by the time they've gone thru denmark and holland... and by the time they're in belgium, it'll probably be too warm a climate for them to anything usefull anyway...

hm... doesn't this fit more into the community thread or so? i'm not really sure it has anything to do with trains or city...; come to think of it, train, on the other hand, is becoming more and more part of pirate section. :P

hm... ******spoiler warning****** i haven't seen it, but i talked to yoda about it... it doesn't seem to be such a huuuuge success in the US, tho. i think it's because kong dies. people just don't like bad endings. Also, people are getting annoyed or tired by the king kong hype; everywhere you go you get this king kong stuff in your throat. and then there is this weird scene where king kong fights three t-rexes... was that in the original film as well? don't think so... this hollywood attitude more or less forces directors to search for the extreme confrontation between the best and the "new kid on the block", so to speak. i mean, take the t-rex, first hollywood just wanted to see the t-rex, then Hollywood wanted to see the t-rex in a city like new york or so, and now it seems hollywood wants the ultimate confrontation between king of kings t-rex and king kong... in the end, it just becomes too far fetched...

ok... here's another eb-event 2005 story.... it's in billund, yes it is... funny thing is that when pass this model, a pirate shouts: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHG GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! something like that anyway.... obviously, we all thought of eb's pirate.... at some point yoda started copying the billund pirate, but in the end, after having passed that model several times on three days, this fabricated arhg! or whatever, got repeated six times... hm... i'm quite certain we scared quite a few people at that point...

Well as M'Kyuun pointed out, this show is very popular, at least in the US. These sets are bound to sell very well. the big unknown for me right now is, avatar may sell in the US because there's a tv show, that's not the case in many other countries, so will it sell there also or disappear amongst all the other manga type of toys, robots,...

just bought the 6276 fortress for 45

this is one of the most impressive lego mocs i've seen! it's not so much the size of the Dom, it's those things you don't see: 1) you need to map all details 2) you need to organise the project 3) you need to come up with all sorts of solutions, like what parts to use, check if that's attractive, check if that works in the context of the rest of the building 4) you need to have a lot of patience 5) you need to have an insight in building large mocs,... in short, you need to be a huge fanatic!

-the helmets look great! i wish they'd spend as much time and money on designing and producing swords! -i'm disappointed in the theme, tho. we've seen it all before: a castle, a smaller castle, a few more or less sophisticated weapons and that's it! with all the detailed bricks, heads, minifigs lego produces for other themes, they surely must be able to come up with more appealing, detailed sets than these. and you can forget about building an army as well... in all, there may be 10 figs. Sure, they want you to buy a large number of (expensive) sets with 1-2 figs, instead of sets with only figs, but they're really pushing it...

and the green one wins! looks more scary....

maybe you're supposed to use the xxl crane... however, there's no road leading to this bridge. some one said it looks like a bridge for a train. let's hope that's the case but i'm not really sure if these rails fit into the bridge...;

i went to the toy shop today and i've got good news and bad news. the good news is they're having city sets again, like the xxl crane, but prices have gone up! everything used to be on sale for the last month or so, at least, now everything is getting expensive again >:(

voted for city 1) great designs of sets in all price categories 2) they're the basis for lego's success this year 3) price/quality is very high, at least no weird one piece creatures or knights in afwul colors, and unlike vikings, it has more to offer than playability

the price has already gone up! 207$ eb may have be responsible :P not me, tho.... wonder how high this price will go

great review kim! i know quite a few larger sets of the adventures that are a lot better than this one... i'll give it a 5/10 for the nice colors and minifig heads, but it's not particularly brilliant, the elephant is almost playmobil! however, the set would be nice if you were to build a large zoo or something, well, minus the ball, that is...

it is pretty nice, but a few more bricks to make the hull a bit higher would have been great. the second mast isn't high enough either.
