Printed Bricks for Supercars
Flossie replied to Flossie's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thank you both. I know they are expensive, but they make a difference. -
Do I remember correctly that there is a company that makes printed bricks to replace the stickers on the Bugatti Chiron and Porsche 911 GT3? If so who are they?

I really like this set and think it would look great next to the creator expert cars that have already been released, especially the Fiat 500.
-
I've just remembered that Legoland Windsor were at one time sponsored by Fiat and had many different models including the Multipla in Miniland.
-
Why not? The problem with car design in recent years is that the majority of car companies are scared to be different. If you took the badges off a great many cars today the average person would not be able to tell you what it was.
-
The Multipla is a piece of design genius that was ahead of its time. Not many cars can seat six and still have luggage space on such a small footprint. With the rear seats out it could transport a standard size pallet.

10295 Creator Expert Porsche 911 Discussion
Flossie replied to BrickWild's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I really like this set. It is one one the best Creator Expert cars and the different building techniques used are really interesting. My only improvement would be to include enough bricks to make a Turbo, Targa, Turbo Targa and a Carrera. For a few more bricks it could have been a 4 in 1 set. -
10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery Discussion

Personally I would like a Space Shuttle in the same scale as the Saturn V with a Hubble space telescope in the payload bay.- 310 replies

10295 Creator Expert Porsche 911 Discussion
Flossie replied to BrickWild's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Looking at the licences Lego has and what I think would look good in brick form (here's looking at you Aston DB4). I'd like to see one of the following: Lamborghini Countach LP400 Ford Model T Mclaren F1 BMW M1 Bugatti Type 35 Mclaren MP4/4 Porsche 911 (1964-1975) Land Rover (Series II) If I could get any car in Lego Creator form it would have to be a Citroen DS. -
The more I look at the completed car the more I am impressed with it. The angles and construction techniques are a lot more complex than the Porsche or Bugatti. Small things make big differences, the angle of the doors when they are closed. The curvature of the rear spoiler. The intersects of the headlight pieces. Initially I was sceptical about this set, but it is now my favourite of the three.

42107 - Ducati Panigale V4R
Flossie replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
What scale is the Ducati? Is it 1:8 like the Bugatti and Porsche GT3 RS? -
For some reason I'm just not getting excited about this set. The Porsche was the first and the Chiron is the ultimate piece of engineering. The Lamborghini is just another supercar. Personally I think a McLaren Speedtail would have been a better option due to its unique cabin and engineering. This year I am more interested in the Ducati.

LEGO Speed Champions 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Flossie replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I may be in the minority, but I prefer the Audi to the Ferrari. It looks like the real car it is based on. The Ferrari, especially the front looks awful. -

I would love to see the Forth Rail Bridge. One of the most recognisable bridges in the world and an amazing piece of Victorian engineering.- 259 replies

That is brilliant. Having visited the Leicester Square store a few times it is instantly recognisable. The details are great. It would be a day one purchase for me if it was ever released.

I've done this with the Parisian Restaurant and the Downtown Diner. The diner was very straight forward, but the restaurant needed a few substitute bricks for the fridge. I mirrored them so they would look better on my shelves. I have also made the T1 Campervan RHD instead of LHD, which was easy, but noticed it had German registration plates so swapped it back again. I just used the existing instructions and worked out where everything should go, wasn't too taxing.

I've just been thinking, an Italian Job set would have been incredible. A red, white and blue 5 wide classic Mini and Harrington Legionnaire coach that the Minis could fit in. Perfect.- 428 replies

Speed Champions 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Flossie replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Town
Considering the McLaren Senna is not the most attractive car in the world I think they have made a good effort in Speed Champions scale. I am also looking forward to seeing the Mini set, but am ready to be disappointed considering the scale and that Minis are so small.- 428 replies

Creator Expert Cars - Rumors, Discussion, and Speculation
Flossie replied to SheldonF's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I would like to see an F1 car from the manufacturers that already have a license with Lego. So the McLaren that Senna drive or Villeneuve's Ferrari. That look great in a Creator Expert set.
