  1. That looks TERRIFIC! Can you control the direction it's going?
  2. Hellbelly, that one was great!
  3. That looks terrific! I think the Constitution is a fantastic base for a running old style train. If I didn't already have the EN (Legoville is too small for two old style trains) this is the set I would get.
  4. Yep. If I were to make it longer, I would only elongate (one or two studs) the section between the cockpit and front wheels, and wouldn't add more curves.
  5. Awesome! In my eyes the horizontal wing supports could be one stud shorter on each side.
  6. My not be perfect, but it looks very good! If I may, I would suggest that you lengthen a bit the hood - it would make it look more proportional to the 1:1.
  7. Really? You sure? I was certain that the EN was released after the Maresk . If the EN is really older, and being a much more complex/AFOL-oriented set, that would explain the prices. But some months ago, when I bought my EN, the EN was definitively cheaper.
  8. VERY cool! reminds me of this:
  9. Oh boy... I had a brain fart and wrote it the wrong way. Right now the Emerald Night is more expensive then the Maersk. Sorry, for the snafu, my bad . What ritzcrackerman wrote is how I see it too, so why is the EN more expensive?
  10. If it wasn't "electric" I certainly would have bought one.
  11. And that's the beauty of Lego: now it's just a matter of snapping a few bricks back together and all the trains are as good as new!
  12. Absolutely stunning! Congrats!
  13. I was really surprised to see that on BL currently a new sealed Emerald Night is more expensive then the Maersk train . I know how spectacular the EN is, but being a recent model I would think that the Maersk would always be more expensive. But for once I'm glad I made the right decision and got the EN first, even though the Maersk was a must buy for me ever since I started this train business . EDIT: I originally wrote it the other way around. Fixed it now - sorry!
  14. Absolutely awesome, congrats!
  15. I think the most important feature in my MOCs is swooshability/playability. Of course the model has to look like what I was aiming at, but it has to be sturdy to the point that I think I could use maybe 20% less parts then I usually use. It has to look good but it CAN'T be fragile. Like Gregory wrote, I see a LOT of MOCs where I have the impression that they need to be kept behind glass because a breeze may brake them. No problem with that, whatever floats your boat, but for me a fragile model just doesn't work.
  16. MANY here collect minifigs, and also buy the set just because of the minifig (I've done that a lot of times for some licensed themes), so a theme-specific Castle/medieval line would have a more broader audience. However, what I would really like to see is these "generic" themes (ie,not from a franchise) to have skin-colored minifigs. Yeah, yeah, yellow minifigs are traditional but timers have changed, and so has the hobby. It gets expensive to hunt skin-colored heads and hands on BL for your MOCs.
  17. That looks VERY nice, congrats! Why don't you put one of the 7937 on the other side of the rail?
  18. Maybe I'm going against the grain here, but the heptagonal tower of the current set is MUCH more attractive in my eyes. Since the walls are (aesthetically) basically the same, I think I do prefer the current castle. Yes, red is a better color and using chains on the draw bridge are cooler then using ropes, but still, the square towers brakes the Kingdom castle for me. And the roof on the Kingdoms' castle highest tower makes me think of a manor or a palace, while the crenelated towers of the 70404 makes me think of a fortress or a keep. So adding all that up, even though the 7946 is a very nice set, between the two I'll go with the modern version.
  19. True! I got the Extremis Sea Port Battle set basically because of War Machine.
  20. I hope you guys are right! I'm dying to get an IP for my collection. I tried evilBay put the prices are just outrageously ridiculous right now.
  21. And again, another masterpiece! Absolutely frigentastic!
  22. Any chance of we seeing the Iron Patriot in some way that is NOT linked to the pre-order? I mean, maybe in the future? Though I do have a PS3 and want the game, I also won't have access to the minifig .
  23. Whoa! That looks fantastic! Nice to see something so different. And it being swooshable makes it absolutely terrific!
  24. I thought this over and I'm going for the current blue castle . I'm also ordering one or two of the Gatehouse Raid (70402), still haven't decided yet, but I'll wait to get the Kingdom's Joust (10223). I think I'll probably integrate the castle in Legoville as a theme park, but I want to see the size of the whole thing to be sure I can fit the joust set. So if all goes well the sets will be here by the end of the week and then to temporary storage until the move . With these sets if I did the math right I think I'll have 21K+ parts waiting to be assembled .
  25. Ah, now I'm seeing them! Fantastic job, it looks great !
