  1. What with LEGO’s history with trains and a brand new railway ride opening at Walt Disney World this summer, there is a (slight?) possibility the D2C could be linked to that. Mind you: this is pure speculation on my part. No sources or inside information. As for the Toy Story set(s), yeah, scratch Woody and Jessie from my minifigures guess list. I wonder whether there will be as many Pixar characters this time around, now that most of those films get their own themes. Coco would be nice, though.
  2. Wait. What Batmobile pic are you referring to?
  3. Er... Which version of the Hogwarts Express set are you talking about? Luna was in the previous one, but not in the 2018 version. And the trolley witch is 100% a match for the lady who appears in the first film. Unrelated to the quote above: that set list most of you seem to be putting your faith in. What about it makes you feel confident there’s truth to it?
  4. Ah, I should’ve specified: brown or black hair. There is a surprisingly good selection of elderly guys with glasses and beards (the Dumbledores, yes, and Professor Henry Jones, Ernie Prang...). We have a blonde man with glasses and stubble (Kevin from the new Ghostbusters), but no dark-haired fleshie guys yet. What with there being characters in some sets who only play the tiniest of parts in the story (like TOTDForever said), I’m forever optimistic. Though I fully recognise many more would be happy if the sets included MJ!
  5. For entirely idiosyncratic reasons, I would love that teacher to be made into a minifig. Been hoping for a fleshie face with a proper beard and glasses for ages. Other than that, here’s hoping for that stealth suit. The fact that they’re finally making a Captain America with a helmet gives me hope that waiting could be rewarded.
  6. Both things are happening. On the page with the minifigures, the presumed Disney CMF series 2 is announced. On another page, next to a close-up of General Mayhem, further LEGO Movie 2 playsets are announced for May.
  7. Since this is the Wishlist topic, we can go wild, right? Some characters who I would *love* to see in a series, though I would be very surprised if they actually turned up: Robin Hood - Basically all of the adult main characters. The Sword in the Stone - Merlin with Archimedes, maybe Wart. Disney Festival / Disney Afternoon - Darkwing Duck and Launchpad McQuack, Chip and Dale (Rescue Rangers) and Scrooge McDuck. The Hunchback of Notre Dame - Quasimodo, Esmeralda, Phoebus and Frollo. The Princess and the Frog - Tiana, Naveen and Doctor Facilier. And in the category ‘much more likely to actually make an appearance’: Aladdin - Jasmine, Jafar and the Sultan (he’s very unlikely), preferably with the animals we’re missing (but then, there’s always the Princess line to work around that problem). Beauty and the Beast - Belle, Beast, Gaston. Edit: addition: a character from the parks who I’d love to see is Redd, the re-imagined Redhead from Pirates of the Caribbean. Although she might appear in a possible sixth movie and hopefully an official set... (Oh, and a grey-coated Barbossa with long hair underneath his hat would be awesome, too. But never gonna happen.)
  8. Series 1 didn’t include any live-action characters, only animated ones. That has me thinking we probably shouldn’t be counting on any live-action characters now. However, it’s anyone’s guess whether series 2 will follow in the same format or have a different line-up.
  9. Hm... Judging by what are the biggest evergreen classics and figures who have a prominent presence in the parks, I’d say the list might look something like this: 1. Mickey (Sorcerer’s Apprentice) 2. Goofy 3. Pluto 4. Mowgli 5. Baloo 6. Rapunzel 7. Flynn/Eugene 8. Belle 9. The Beast 10. Gaston 11. Jasmine 12. Jafar 13. Pooh 14. Tigger 15. Sully 16. Mike 17. Woody 18. Jessie
  10. Thanks everyone for posting about the rumours. They’re great news, I think. Personally, I’m greatly in favour of princesses appearing in this series. While I have nothing against the minidolls in their own right, my collection is geared towards minifigures. It’s very promising - to me, anyway - that last time we got Ariel AND Ursula, even before she appeared as a minidoll. Here’s hoping that part of the series will add to the previous set (Goofy, Jasmine, Jafar, Mad Hatter...?) and that brand new franchises are introduced as well (Robin Hood, pretty please?).
  11. Long-time member, sometime speaker. I thought it was time to get more active in the AFOL community, so I've started a YouTube channel. The first batch of videos will consist of my reviews of the new Harry Potter sets and Collectable Minifigure Series. Please find the first video, a review of the polybag 30407: Harry's Journey to Hogwarts, below. I'll add more reviews as I make them. Apologies for the varying picture quality. It's my first try! And I'm thinking: I should probably include more close-ups of the actual LEGO next time... Still, I hope this proves useful and/or entertaining to you. Thanks!
  12. The just-revealed photographs on Twitter of three new sets show that we will have brick-built Duplo and minifigures and minidolls in the same sets.
  13. Very exciting! Wasn’t it rumoured that the year we never had from Dimensions would have included Bond? It’s thrilling to see they’re actually going to do something with this licence. The fact that the LEGO Group tweeted to Aston Martin makes me think the set (if there is one set) would likely focus on one of their cars. The DB5 would make the most sense, as (almost?) all of the Bonds have driven one at some point. Speaking of all of the Bonds... I’m very curious to see whether any of them are included in what I assume will be a set based on an Aston Martin. Surely we get at least one incarnation of 007...?
  14. When Catanas reacted to the Snape figure appearing, she added: “Ohhh dear, they are in trouble.” Considering this is a slightly paraphrased quote from Mister Filch, we might be seeing him show up in there, too. Or quite possibly I’m reading too much into whimsical comments on here. ;)
  15. Oh, wow! This is such an amazingly detailed set with so many fantastic molds and prints! They’re doing justice to all the characters in spades, if you ask me. Nearly Headless Nick makes his first appearance and is spot on. Who would’ve expected to get Susan Bones in there? What an unexpected treat, with her Hufflepuff torso. The new piece for the wands seems to come in a multitude of colours (dark tan, reddish and dark brown, black - in Bricklink’s naming system). Is Harry’s hair a black version of one of the Ninjago Movie main characters? This brand new Potter theme is going to be a great big day-one-buy for me.
  16. In the original Gotham by Gaslight comic, he doesn’t appear to be wearing goggles, although some detailed panels raise doubt. Is there any chance this suit could pop up in the second CMF series?
  17. You did! He's playing the Bendu. What a thrill to hear The Doctor talk about Jedi and Sith... I was already looking forward to season 3, but now it can't come soon enough. Here's hoping they'll include the new-look crew and Grand (!) Admiral (!!) Thrawn (!!!) in a set. Personally, I don't care too much for the stormtroopers included in the Rebels sets, but that's an easy fix. The other minifigures still work perfectly along the other Star Wars ones of the last few years, in my view. It's a wonderful notion that perhaps there'll be a Thrawn to pit against the OT good guys.
  18. It's official concept art from the production, made by Andy Park.
  19. Truly, madly, deeply in love with the new additions! The new figures look great, the storyworlds are wonderful and the possibility to play stuff like Capture the Flag sounds excellent. Just when you think it's already the perfect game... Wow. Mindblowing.
  20. The trailer looks good to me. Seems the vibe is fairly similar to that of the originals. New characters, same concept. The Ecto-1 being a hearse fits the whole idea quite well, I feel. And so many ghosts! Good. That's a great sign for sets to come.
  21. There have never been any sets based on a (solo) Thor movie, have there? I wouldn't go holding my breath this time around either. GotG 2 should hopefully profit from the hit that GotG 1 was, so I'd really hope to see a decent amount of sets. As for Spider-Man... He's Spider-Man! He always gets a lot of sets, even when there's no movie whatsoever in cinemas. He's LEGO Marvel's Batman.
  22. Ooh! What a great collection. Well done LEGO and Disney for representing so many eras of animated films. And this is, presumably, just the first wave. It's complete conjecture at this point, but if The Simpsons got two series, surely Disney will too? It looks to me like all the smart choices were made. Characters from throughout Disney's history. Mickey and friends. Mostly normal heads to ensure maximum compatibility. Some female stars, some male ones. Good guys (m/f), bad guys (m/f). What looks like the same head for Mickey and Minnie and the same for Donald and Daisy, with accessories and printing to differentiate them. As has been mentioned, a nice plus is that this opens the door for a Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey later on. My guess is, these will sell like hotcakes. There's something to enjoy for everyone, I feel. My sympathies to those of us disappointed with the lack of Jafar, Mulan and others, but I imagine we may yet see them in the future.
  23. Just out (or about to be) is Ava from Nexo Knights. Her hairpiece seems fairly accurate for series 8 Clara. Here's a link to Ava: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?M=nex006#T=S&O={}
  24. No stickers? By all the saints, what a time to be an AFOL Whovian! I better start practicing my Capaldi impression, this stuff is just waiting to be used in fan animations! Which is why I'm so happy that LEGO is doing this. Loved the Character Building 'microfigures', but LEGO has a much wider catalogue of pieces. Much more options for fan-made adventures.
  25. Looks good! Can anyone tell me if those panes in the doors are connected or loose? Looks like you have to click them into the frame, I mean. If so, do you reckon that's done because of the white panels with the text and windows? Or could you, I don't know, customise it? Like: different windows and sign and the St John's Ambulance logo there / not there, depending on your preference of Doctor?
