  1. ^ Show-off... :-P But Italy rocks, man. Gotta thank the Romans for bringing us civilisation. Maybe don't thank them for HOW they did it, but yeah... Romans ON! (Oh Jupiter, please save me from this "ON!"-virus!)
  2. The person above me probably didn't do well on his last math test... ;-)
  3. The person above me is a knight. Does that make him SIR trooperdavinfelth?
  4. So do we have final pics on all 4 Classic Trilogy sets? I've seen the finalized Motorcycle Chase, but the other 3 weren't all that definite when I saw them.
  5. Hmmmm.... *dreams away at the idea of KISS minifigs* Oh no, wait! Even better! Spice Girls! Purrr, haha. Of course official licenses would be cool. But maybe TLC can just start by producing a marching band and a small rock/pop concert set for the City theme? That way we'll have official instruments, without having to spend a lot extra because it's a license.
  6. Argh. Pretty ladies clad in naught but a Dutch flag bikini are not to be found. At least not using my search methods. Or maybe there is no such thing as a Dutch flag bikini. But let it be known that it was THE NETHERLANDS that donated Famke Janssen and Rebecca Romijn to the movie world! (And Rutger Hauer and Paul Verhoeven, but they don't qualify as 'pretty ladies', now do they?)
  7. My first set was the Landspeeder with Luke & Ben from the original film. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?S=7110-1 As my birthday soon followed, the Naboo N-1 starfighter and Gungan Sub weren't far behind.
  8. Yeah, so far all looks good. Don't get me wrong, I looove what I've seen so far from Indy Lego but... Why no Sallah? Come the heck on, LC, gimme Sallah! Of course, I would cheer loudest if TLC decides to indeed make a continuing line of Indiana Jones. And if they do that, we probably will see Sallah and Marcus Brody sooner or later. But dang, to me, including Sallah would've made these first sets perfect.
  9. I hope they don't give Anakin that annoying headset thing on his face again. It's hard to come by normal minifig of Obi-Wan and Anakin this way. *vader*
  10. For a moment there I thought: set 9041 Jesus and the Last Supper set 9042 Judas and the Romans etc. *wacko*
  11. Gheh, I have no problems at all with you changing your torso. It'll only make me look more original ;-) Yeah he was meant to look somewhat... bizarre. Apparently that transpired :-D PS, Doctor Sinister: I love how you also took a pic of the real you in that outfit! Plus cat! Great stuff! :-D
  12. Funny you should say that about your torso, Hairy Ruben. I've been creating a sig fig myself this last week and I actually used the same torso! 8-| May I present to you all: Baron Honeymint, the star of a brickflick I
  13. A more detailed look on Mr Freeze, since I just received his magnet version in the mail. The normal magnet fig rules apply. In terms of his special gear: - helmet is completely removable - gun is removable from his hand and from the white tube coming from his backpack, the pieces of the gun itself can also be detached from eachother (4 in total) - backpack is detachable from the body, but all parts of the backpack itself are glued together: the tanks on the back and the white tube (the other side of the tube can be removed from the gun, as mentioned earlier). This is probably done because the two tanks each contain a small magnet. Hope this helps. Good luck and have fun!
  14. The 'Mr' sounds a bit pompous to my own ears, but just 'Spielbrick' seemed a bit undefined. Feel free to call me Spielbrick any time, though. Or Philip, if we're going for real names. :-) Obviously, Spielbrick is a name that's suspiciously closely related to Spielberg. I am a big fan of his films and am currently studying to become a professional film director. Back in the days of Lego Studios, I used to make trailer and short clips with Lego. Now I am preparing to make at least one Lego short of 5 to 10 minutes. Hence, Mr Spielbrick.
  15. *feels all loved (well, 'liked' might sound cooler) and at home* Quotes from Star Wars and assurances that you'll help me stay in the light are very kind! I hope to be around here quite long. :-) And Lt. Col. Thok: I wandered into the Dark Ages partially because of my father, so don't let your parents be too influential in your Legolife! Some parents, misguided they are... *vader* Let them misguide you, do not! *yoda*
  16. Thank you, thank you. It's wonderful to be back :'-) And indeed, 2008 can't come soon enough. Bring on the Raiders set with the boulder! Already a strong cadidate for Best Lego Set Ever, in my opinion!
  17. What I like most about the Lego Lincensed Sets is the flesh toned minifigs. I just HAD to buy that X-wing to replace all my yellow Old Trilogy minifigs at once. If we see the classic smiley as usable on all figs, not just Wedge Antilles, I only have to get myself a fleshie Ben Kenobi and Emperor Palpatine and I'm back on track with the OT figs. Of course the fairly recent addition of Lando Calrissian has me drooling, but the Sail Barge set is kind of... expensive. The same thing goes for the latest Hogwarts set. I love, love, love the fleshie Potter minifigs, but that's another 90 euros right there! And did I mention the New Trilogy of Star Wars? Luke can double as a young Obi-Wan but why is TLC so cruel as to only include Qui-Gon (my absolute favourite SW character ever) in a 110 euro costing set?! Oh, the torment! Oh, the pain! Oh, the need to get a steady job! Price issues aside, some of the best recent Lego is the licensed stuff, I think. The Batman figs are on their way to me from LegoShop.com. And INDIANA JONES himself will be coming next year! I can't wait! Though, looking at ALL the licensed stuff Lego ever did, I wonder one thing. WHAT THE HELL were they thinking on the Jurassic Park 3 line? The minifigs weren't based on the movie characters! The raptors looked blocky and cuddly instead of streamlined and vicious! And what is UP with that T-rex head on a Spinosaur? Here's hoping they'll do a JP 4 line, but I'm not betting on it. Would be cool to see them fix it, though.
  18. After a break of almost FIVE years, it was a Castle set that finally managed to make me buy Lego again. For at the end of 2002, I started wondering if I was getting too old for Lego. I stopped buying the sets and didn't care much for the little bricks anymore. It took me five years, but I found out what you already know: Lego is (whatever the boxes might say) for all ages! After barely resisting the huge temptation of the Batman line, I finally succumbed to the enchantment of the brilliant new skeleton minifigs. Envisioning a cool fantasy animation short, I gathered my courage and stepped into the toystore. There it was... Lego Castle 7090... A tiny box with two crown warriors, a catapult, and an evil skeleton astride a skeletal horse. The price was the final nudge: only E 4,75! Since that small step back into My Life With Lego, I check a variety of Lego sites every day. I've also bought the new Star Wars X-wing. The complete collection of Batman magnet sets and the set with young Anakin, Darth Maul and the Naboo pilot are on their way from LegoShop.com. I've been working on a script for a fantasy short that combines the highlights (to me) of these sets and those of my older stuff into a hopefully original brickflick. The red dragon set and several Harry Potter sets are getting me excited all over again... I am at last back in the Land of Lego, and it feels like coming home!
